I was 13 years old, I had just started grade 7 at a catholic elementary school in Woodbridge. I was walking towards my hanger in the hallway to change into my indoor shoes as I had just finished recess. I pulled out my Nike Air’s and slipped them on. They were nice shoes but they were just too old and beat up. I walked over to go and meet my friend at his hanger when I saw him pull out his brand new Supra TK hightop sneakers. These shoes were everyone at the time. I remember seeing celebrities like Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber wearing them but no one my age has ever seen them in person. As soon as my friend put them on, everyone in my class ran up to him in shock complimenting his sneakers. I wanted those sneakers so badly that when I went

It all started on boot day of spirit week in sixth grade. I was about eleven or twelve and I owned maybe two pairs of shoes that I actually liked and wore all the time. I was crazy about spirit week and would go all out, I still am that way now. The night before, I was rummaging through my closet and couldn’t find a pair of boots anywhere. I ran upstairs and asked my mom if she had any boots because we are close to the same size, but she didn’t have any and that broke my little sixth grade heart. The next day, feeling defeated, I walked to the bus stop and saw my friend Lauren. I told her about my failed attempt to find a pair of boots, and a second later she just took off running into her house across the street. She came out of the house

I remember it was a chilly October night, everyone running around in their costumes, and I myself, in a pink princess dress. My mom had spent all night doing my hair in perfect curls and I just couldn't wait to get my plastic clear heels on from Walmart that almost every 8-year old had. I knew that this Halloween would be the BEST.. Little did I know, it would, in fact, be
It all started on my fourteenth birthday. I was at a restaurant with some of my friends. One of them was wearing a Thrasher shirt. We had an enthusiastic waiter that was quizzing us on multiple things, mostly based on what what it looked like we would know things about. He saw the shirt, and the poor girl wearing it had no idea what was in store.
I was a freshman in high school and I was fourteen years old. On October 14th, 2016, it was a “wear pink” day at my school for Breast Cancer Awareness. So I wore a pink T-shirt. Later at lunch in the lunchline, I happened to stand by Jadon Wulff. And we were talking about a rather weird topic. We were talking about spanish numbers which was rather strange considering I got back from Spanish. Later that day, there was a football game at home. I still got to watch it but there was a problem. I was in band
Nike’s Tiempo Genio leather mens soccer cleats are some of the best cleats I have ever owned. I’ve had them for 7months and use them for training and games from 3-7 times a week. They are durable cleats that with proper care (leather food once a week) can lost for quite a long time. I would strongly recommend this item for any avid soccer player.
Sandals...tennis shoes…heels…flip-flops. I am a teen girl and as the saying goes, “you can never have too many shoes.” Every school year since I can remember, my mom would take me to shop for shoes. Not just one pair, but dress shoes and athletic shoes. I have always known that I’m blessed to have all the necessities that I need in life, but never felt spoiled or that my expectations were too high. As I look at my closet filled with shoes, I think back to David. David was a little first grade boy I knew from the Ready Set Teach program. A little boy who struggled for everything he had in life and whose tattered shoes ironically touched my soul.
It all started on a rainy day and in Florida, that's common. It was the second week of 5th grade and everyone was done showing there new, cute school clothes. They were back to the same thrift store clothes they had last year, but not I! I was running late because I was on the hunt for the perfect outfit! Even though it was Monday and I usually don't care at the beginning of the week, I was determined! After 30 long minutes, I finally found the perfect outfit with the perfect hairdo but all I needed were the perfect shoes to go with it!
It was my freshman year of high school where I was just a lost fish in a hugh sea of people attending Byron Nelson High School, with no clue who I was and my place in life. Life seemed rough but then again it was freshman year. When I was attending Byron I didn't know what I was going to do with my life in the future. On one day just like any other the morning school announcements came on; talking about some meeting in the counselor's office about some academy. At that time I had no idea what they were talking about and I had never even heard of Eaton High school, which happens to be the new high school for my school district. It came to lunch time where my friend that I sat with was absent, so I figured why not go see what this meeting is
During summer break of 2009, I was six years old. I got a machine called a backhoe. It was a white International. We bought it from a guy right by my grandma’s house. We loaded it up onto the trailer to bring it home. I wanted to be helpful, because my dad just bought me this backhoe, so I thought it would be a good Idea to lift up and put away the 75 pound lbs each steel ramps by myself. I lifted up the ramp and lost grip on it from a foot off the ground. It landed on my toe and split it open right behind the nail because when it came down it smashed my nail and separated that skin. Even better I was wearing open toed sandals. At that moment I realized what I just did.
When you hear the word sneakers, what do you think of? For me sneakers was a word that inspired me to be great. When i think of sneakers i think of people of a high caliber. For example, i think of Raf Simmons, Lebron James, Michael Jordan, kanye, and so many more. Fortunately, there's not only one way to view sneakers. Some people may see shoes as just a shoe, but others may see it as a culture and/or a way of life. At a young age i fell in love with sneakers. At the age of 12 i probably owned over 20 pairs of sneakers. I did this because i saw sneakers in a way that others didn't. For example, Jordan sneakers aren't just Jordan sneakers to me. This is because the men in my life have made very terrible decisions. For example, there was a point
New Balance was founded by William J. Riley in 1906 in the city of Boston. Riley started by making arch supports for customers who had to spend all day on their feet. Over time the building of arch supports led to the creation of his first running shoe in 1925. As part of a local running club, Riley capitalized on an opportunity to improve running shoes of the time and his designs became widely popular. His new running shoes became so popular that by the 1940’s that production spread from running to many other sports. Then the expansion of the manufacturing significantly increased as he realized a need to running shoes with more selection for wider feet, and
