Personal Narrative : Texas For A Vacation

Today is Valentine's Day and I have nothing to do. Today I went to my brothers basketball game. They won 38-30 against auburn-y. This was a elimination game. I can't believe those ballers pulled it offing fugu. I mean when I was in 6th grade we didn't even make playoffs. Still single as always but I hope that will change. I like Evelyn Kitchen but I don't know if she likes me. I wimped out to ask her to dance with me and another kid in my advisory likes her too. It's pretty obvious. I just don't know if she likes me. I told my mom and dad and they told me to ask her. The worst thing that can happen is she says no and I get embarrassed to death. The next dance there is in March I'm going to ask her. I should probably explain

I leaned my head against the car window watching the leaves blowing around, just trying to distract myself from a slight feeling of emptiness inside of me. This feeling seemed all too familiar to me. My family and I had all of our possessions packed into boxes yet again. We were moving to a new state. At this point, up rooting our lives and starting over almost seemed more like a hobby than anything more significant. However, I have just now come to realize that what seemed like constant inconveniences in the past, have actually taught me how to be the best me with influences all around the country. Living in three different states and five homes may have been a challenge, but it provided me with memories that I wouldn’t trade for anything because those moments created the person I am today.

After that, I went to the area that I could set up my tent in. I ended up next to Chole. I decided that since it was still slightly early, it would be a good idea to go snorkeling. I asked Chloe if she wanted to go with me because it was shallow water, which meant the seaweed was close to me. We threw on our swimsuits in our tents, walked to the water and dove in it.

Before my big move to Houston about three years ago for college, it was my last summer back home in a little city called Amarillo, which is considered “West Texas,” although it’s actually located geographically north within the heart of the Texas Panhandle. I was enjoying every last bits of the time that I’ve had left with my friends and family. The last thing I could think of worrying about during that summer was a romantic relationship. My intentions were to make bittersweet memories and to have what they would call, fun. I went out almost every single weekend for the first month of my last summer and met tons of friends and I became closer to old casual friends. Within that first month of consistently going out and hanging out with all these friends that I became close to, I met a very sweet, charming, and interesting guy named Andy. Something about him caught my attention. He was silly and funny without even trying, so I took an interest in him. We started messaging each other on Facebook then texting and making polite conversations. Before I knew it, this was the starting point to a whole new friendship. When he first messaged me, as much as I hesitated to respond to him because I knew I was moving and I did not want to develop feelings just leave everything behind, I wanted to not just respond but to strike more conversations. I became curious about him and I wanted to find out more and more.

Living in Dallas Texas is not so bad. I lived in an apartment building that was not so big, but the worst part was that there were tons of roaches. So we decided to move to Frisco.Also my dad has a job there. As the last few days of school came we started packing. It was hard because my brother was giving a hard time to my Mom. On the last day of school we left to go home. We had a scheduled flight to Puerto Rico to visit some relatives. After we came back we went to Houston to visit my cousins. They stayed with us for a month in my house, then after days of packing they left and we started packing. We did a lot of shopping P.S I HATE SHOPPING oh and P.P.S. I only like shopping if it's for me. We had most of the stuff in backpacks & suitcases,

Every summer I look forward to sitting on a large, warm cabana under the Texas sun. My feet buried in the sand as I welcome the lukewarm waves against my legs. Being a beach bum in South Padre Island, Texas is a great way to bring on the summer. This island isn’t short of attractions, from the beautiful ocean, to tasty restaurants, to fireworks over the ocean you will never get bored on your vacation! Last summer I was joined by a few of my closest friends. We made so many memories as we all went parasailing for the first time. Our relationship grew stronger as we were able to share a new experience together. Spending a few weeks in South Padre Island with family and close friends is a great way to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Do you remember when you were a kid, there was that one place that always seemed so amazing, but once you got there you were so disappointed? When you are a kid, a disappointment like that seems to be a big deal. Well when I moved to Texas, it was just that. The worst place I have ever tried living, was in Bethel, Texas. There are numerous reasons that make me say this including, the excessive oil drilling, how spread out each town is, and how god awfully ugly it was. I would never recommend going there. I moved there, and within a month, I came back home. Even if I think of it as a Vacation, it still was a horrible experience.

When I arrived in Dallas, I was legitimately surprised to see that people in Texas were normal. They were not all wearing cowboy hats and boots with pistols tucked into their belts. I was ten years old, and I had just become accustomed to life in Missouri, right after leaving to Texas. Previously, I had moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Missouri when my dad’s job relocated us. Then, my dad quit his job and decided to pursue his dreams of owning a cattle ranch because his job had asked he relocate us to White Plains, New York. While his worst nightmare was being forced to live in a crowded, bustling urban municipality, mine included simply moving again.Visions of tumbleweed and desert haunted me the days following his announcement. We lived in a small house on a Navy base on the east side of the island in a city called Ceiba. All of the houses were nearly identical, all of them small, grey and made of concrete to protect against hurricanes. There was a park in my backyard that all the kids from the neighborhood would come to play at, but even better for me, there was a mysterious patch of woods behind that park. I would spend most of my days there walking along the trail and looking for interesting flowers, eat wild bananas straight from the tree, and sometimes finding iguana eggs.

The birds, squirrels, and fishes living in tranquility. The daylight there is an early riser, while the night feels like a mother rocking her baby; peaceful. Therefore, the nights are so still that only the beautiful harmony of the crickets could be heard. The green tree looks so alive, they were standing large and stiff. There was even the opportunity of exploring the mountain trails. It was amazing being able to experience something completely different, especially when it was just a few days from starting my junior year. The memories from that trip will be unforgettable.

My mind will often wander to all the places I've lived in and all those I would love to travel to, or visit again. I think of the streets of Santa Fe, how fresh it would be compared to the over 100 degree temperature of were I am now, the hot dry heat of El Paso, Texas, a place I often come back to, the soil were my roots are permanently ingrained. El Paso has grown significantly in the past 10 years alone and is now the sixth most populous city in Texas (World Population Reviw). It's far from it's days when it was widely known as “El Chuco,” or “ChucoTown,” nicknames whose origins and meaning have long been debated, but no matter how much of the new generation is unfamiliar with these terms the history lives on through the streets and current

One day my friend and I was playing outside in my yard and then her mom called her in so I went with her.When we got in the house her mom said that they were moving to texas I was very mad because she was my best friend.But I knew I could not tell them that she could not move to texas.

Trying to find memories is like looking for treasure. You look at the surface and see something mediocre, but you dig deep and find something cool, pretty, and meaningful. It took a while to think of a fond memory, but once I thought of some, it was hard to choose a favorite. Growing up I have had many great experiences in the form of vacations. Between going to Disney World, owning a vacation home, hanging out with my grandparents in Arizona, traveling to Canada and more. They all make amazing memories that I will forever cherish. The vacation spot we go to the most, though, is Wisconsin Dells. A few times I have been allowed to invite friends to come with. When I am allowed to bring friends, it is always a ginormous amount of fun. We goof off in the hotel room, play in the arcades, and swim in the water parks.
