Through analyzing the four energy sources I personally feel that I'm managing the physical and spiritual areas the best. I'm managing the physical energy source well by making sure I engage in physical activities at least three times a week, whether it's going to the gym or simply playing a sport. In addition, I also ensure that I'm drinking enough water and I'm eating properly. By doing so the physical energy source gives me the fundamental fuel I need to get through each day. The other energy source I feel that I manage well is the spiritual aspect. I feel as though I know myself very well and I understand my personal life values. Furthermore, I know what my passions are and I'm able to commit my time and energy to pursue and fulfill them.
Growing up with a father in the military, you move around a lot more than you would like to. I was born just east of St. Louis in a city called Shiloh in Illinois. When I was two years old my dad got the assignment to move to Hawaii. We spent seven great years in Hawaii, we had one of the greatest churches I have ever been to name New Hope. New Hope was a lot like Olivet's atmosphere, the people were always friendly and there always something to keep someone busy. I used to dance at church, I did hip-hop and interpretive dance, but you could never tell that from the way I look now.
Over my years of school, one big influence on me has always been sports. Ever since a young age, I have always enjoyed playing and watching sports. In my four years in high school, I have fell in love with the sport of lacrosse.
I woke up and took one bite out of my pop tart but that one bite was all I could eat. My legs were shaking, and my heart was pounding. My dad told me, “It is a true honor to even make it this far so go out there and have some fun.” Once I heard this statement, I knew I was ready to go. I arrived at school and boarded the bus. The car ride was an hour and fifteen minutes of hearing the squeaking of the wheel on the bus. My teammates were getting their heads ready for the big game.
I have several thoughts when I think about the ideal version of myself. I want to be able to make healthy choices in my life such as exercising more often and straying from foods that aren’t nutritional. My one big goal is to be able to run a mile at least without having to stop to catch my breath. Chapter 58 is all about increasing energy. A happy person has positive energy and moments of intense joy help to raise energy levels. Taking care of your health in ways such as eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising regularly, are easy ways to release health and tension. I now try to go to the gym every other day in the mornings. Right after I finish, I usually feel my energy levels increase greatly.
When I was extended seven feet above the ground, I knew we had succeeded. My two bases were in front of me and my backspot was behind me. I heard the familiar counts of my backspot “one, two, three, four”, I bounced and pushed myself up into my bases waiting hands, “five, six, seven, eight”, I straightened as my bases lifted me up to chest level. I locked my knees and stayed tight. I put on a smile and looked ahead. I felt my backspot release her hold on my ankles. I heard her voice once again, “extension, one, two, three, four”, I brought my hands down to my sides and focused on staying tight as I slowly rose, “five, six, seven, eight. I was all the way up. Then a few moments later I heard the counts as they brought me to chest level then back down to the ground. We had done it, we had hit the stunt and did an extension.
Everyone on earth is defined by their core beliefs. It’s what makes us all individuals, what separates us from the others. It wasn’t until I was talking with my friend Sean in 8th grade that I started to realize that one of my core beliefs, something I was taught growing up, may not be my own belief.
David Zinger refers to (Loehr, Schouartz 2003) findings where they say that Physical energy equates to the quantity of energy, emotional equates to quality of energy and mental (cognitive) is the focus of energy. They say that there is a need for lots of high quality energy to provide us with focus and force to achieve results. (Zinger, 2013)
I think that is an excellent thought, Lindsey. When I first read this that is what I thought as well. Whenever Ada begins to let Susan love her, and whenever Susan starts to show more affection Ada lashes out. I think that Ada lashes out because she feels like she is not deserving of love, and she is not deserving of nice things. This just tears me up inside when a person does not feel like they are worth being loved. The amount of damage that Ada has suffered is almost irreversible now and I think Susan is starting to realize that this will not be an easy fix. I am honestly surprised at how normal Jamie is because even though he was not the one who was abused, he witnessed the abuse. I am glad that he has not lost his trust in people. This
Just so you know, this is the Big Apple and I rule this town. New York City is filled with tall buildings, great culture, and historical sites. No other city has so much beauty that it takes your breath away; yet, there is a real danger that lurks on the streets. I should know because I am Detective Michael Morgan a United States Super Spy in charge of capturing dastardly villains who are set on destroying our world. Armed with mind-altering powers, Alex Higgins is on the top of the FBI’s list of the ten most wanted men in America. This thug is one of the greatest danger to our world and must be captured and jailed in the vault of death. There is no place safe for him to hide from the law and rumor has it, he is in my town. You break the law here in New York City, you pay the ultimate price: freedom.
While reading “They say” I have decided that the ways I might balance my outside resources with my own argument, is not trying to solely focus on one part of my essay. But giving all my resources and equal and rhetorical analysis towards my argument. Striking the balance will be sort of different, but and have a distinct balance is by not to repeat yourself throughout essay, but try to refer to your resource. I have engaged with outside sources before in high school doing a documented argument as well. I don’t remember what the topic was but it was similar the documented argument I am doing now just less resources. I personally don’t remember if I was successful on it, but I’m sure I could approve on certain areas still when it comes to using
I quickly swallowed my homemade authentic Indian food leftovers and gulped down my chocolate milk. Looking down at my watch that read 11:28am, I knew that I only had two minutes until my most favorite part of the day: recess. This particular day in 5th grade, I had run a lap around the playground before getting the rest of recess to myself. As I started walking for my warmup, another student ran up and said, “My parents said that your people caused 9/11.” Completely caught off guard, I held back the tears in my eyes and tried to shake off his comment. I had never encountered something like this.
Throughout the conversation, Susan did not inform me that the home was still in First Look and not open to investors at this time. Susan did not highlight any features of the home, nor did she talk about the neighborhood or the surrounding area. When asked, Susan paused to reference the property file and stated, "In looking at the pictures it appears that it needs interior paint, carpet, appliances, and a few windows, which the previous seller must have taken." She stated, "I don't know why they have to remove things from the homes." I asked, "Do you have offers?" She paused to check the property file and answered, "No offers." I asked, "Is the property behind the home farmland?" She paused to reference the property file and replied, "It appears
“Hey you want to drive”, my step-dad yelled over the loud engine of blue grizzly 4x4 quad I yelled “yes!!”, so as I got one the quad I put on my helmet and fased the strap on the same color helmet.
My first source is, “bmj.com.” It is an article, about a surrogate mother who lost her baby and how the parents came in contact with her. It also explains how she went to court because of losing the baby. My second source is People Magazine. The magazine tells a story of a mother who was a surrogate for her daughter's child. The mother was very supportive of the idea of a surrogate mother Sherri Dickson, told People Magazine, “‘I decided that if they needed somebody to carry their child, I would volunteer’” (qtd in Coder
My energy is more an extrovert type person. Most of the ministries I operate in give direct care to others. I share my faith with a sense of processing information from experience or my gut feelings, known to me as the voice inside me and the Word of God. I will admit there are times I want to call in sick from the hustles and bustles of life. At times I have a burden to see others learn and grow. The disciplines that I practice often are meditation, prayer, fasting, study, submission and service. I would also say simplicity, because I am not that concern with possessions, but I do like nice things. Before I took this class some of the disciplines we discussed I knew by name, not how they function in detail. I do make a habit of seeking first the kingdom of God and even if I fall short some days. God always know what we need to change in our lives, but I know I was not saved to sit in pews; I was saved to serve in the body of Christ to help build His Kingdom.
