Adolf Hitler and Joseph Staling were two of the most known totalitarian leaders in different parts of Europe. They both had their differences but also had a few similarities like for example their background, agenda, and personal qualities.
Adolf Hitler was leader of the Nazi party, or National Socialist German Workers Party. He was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau Am Inn, Austria, and died on April 30, 1945 in Berlin. Hitler was a German politician, in which he was also serving as a dictator. He was also chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. He had a lot of goals that he wanted to achieve in life as you can see. His parents’ names were Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. Growing up, Hitler’s father never approved of his later interest in fine arts as a career. He thought that that was something too low for his son, and that he could do way better like he did in life. Hitler’s was the fourth of six children. With that being said you can tell that his dad wanted the best for him. Once Hitler became leader of the Nazi Party and had everything planned out, he himself designed the Nazi Party banner, where he found a swastika symbol and placed it in a white circle with a red background in it. The word swastika means “good fortune” or “well-being”. His speeches soon gained people’s trust for his vitriolic words against treaty of Versailles. Hitler had great military strategies. He used limited resources to gain more and more power.
