Every step of my life is a lesson to me. My early childhood was a typical middle class environment in the 1990's. Since I was ten, I had always aspired to be a social worker in my life. When I was nineteen years old, I confirmed nursing as my future profession. I was interested to work in non-governmental organization in order to do something good for poor people. The place where I belong is full of natural beauty, and I have traveled almost all the places of Nepal and a few places of India. It’s sad to reminisce at times, that wherever I traveled, I found many homeless people with painful stories with such sadness in their eyes due to various reason. Many people have no food to eat, clothes to cover their body, shelter to live and no with …show more content…
I too felt that I needed to get globally accepted education to upgrade my knowledge in my sector and to achieve my dream. Focusing on quality education, I started searching appropriate universities that matches up with my course and of course with the budget that I can afford. I found Saginaw Valley State University and enrolled on August, 2015 with undergraduate program of Bachelor of Nursing Science. I learned different types of subjects, earned 40 credits and earned new friends with different culture in past eight months. My recent GPA is …show more content…
Although, my family saved money to pay my tuition fees, I faced problem with housing and pocket money as I can’t use saved money for other expenses. I couldn’t find any job on campus at Saginaw Valley State University as I was late to apply. To get rid of extra expenses of housing I came to Maryland to stay with my friend. I feel far better here in Towson with my friend in this stressful moment than living alone at Saginaw, Michigan. It is not only the reason that I’m transferring to the Towson University, as it has course of my interest nursing, In addition, it provides me scholarship of $8000 which helps me. I am driven and

Always, I was told from parents and elders that anyone can achieve their dreams through arduous work and dedication. Surprisingly, I hadn’t pondered this until I observed a shivering homeless person standing at the corner asking for help on one snowy, frosty winter day. This affected my life greatly. On the way, I just started thinking about the life of homeless people and how they are not fortunate enough to get their own place to live, their choice of delicious food to eat and several other amenities that we all enjoy in our everyday lives. An incident, like this, sparked an enthusiastic sense of compassion and empathy in me. Along with my family, I started thinking deeply and my thoughts to help the homeless expanded to other areas and I wanted to start helping the community around me as much as possible.
At this point I'm considering the nursing program at Kirtland. My dad completed the nursing program from there and is happy with the education he received. The scholarship will help me to get credit for high school and college. I'd like to get as many of my basic college courses completed as early as possible and begin my nursing degree. My current goal is to have one year of college completed by the time I graduate from high school. I'm also interested in gaining a CNA prior to my nursing degree. Having my CNA will allow me to help to pay for my education and living expenses as I complete my degree at Kirtland.
I want to major in Psychology at CSU Stanislaus. I plan to pursue a Bachelor's than afterward a Master's degree. My dream job is to become a Councilor. I want to make an impact on people as I move through life. I want to make a difference. Community Service to me is the selfless act to help out. Even in the smallest ways one can be making our community a better way! Just offering to help someone who seems to be struggling to put bags in their car is helping your community. I want to live and be in a community where people care about one another. I try personally to be part of the movement for a community that cares for one another. I like to do simple acts as the one given as a example above. I also volunteered at a local retirement home originally
Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) offers a lot for us, students, in the Residence Halls. Comfortable lounges for us to study and hang out with our friends, free cable, accessible water fountains, and microwaves and mini-fridges are already provided for us. However, something valuable is missing from our Residence Halls that would have been a huge plus to living on campus. Where are our kitchens? The meal options at OLLU are great, but the food at the Cyber Café tends to get boring and bland, and the Sister Annie B's Cafeteria can get crowded with long lines to get food. Cooking is what makes food exciting and more gratifying, but without a kitchen, how will we ever learn to cook for ourselves and enjoy food? The new
I am a senior at Ontario High School and am expecting to graduate this May. I was born in Querendaro, Mexico and then moved to Ontario, Oregon. While in high school I have already obtained a few college credits at a reduced price, but even though I obtained them at a reduced price it was still challenging to pay for them. In my house, there is my two parents, my two sisters and myself, all living with one parent household income and some help. I also had the advantage to complete the Certified Nursing Program as a high school student through the Allied Health. Since I got the opportunity to obtain these college credits and complete the CNA program while in high school, I took the fullest advantage.
The Master of Science in Nursing has two curriculum tracks one track prepares family nurse practitioners to deliver primary care services, while the other track prepares nurse educators to teach in nursing programs. I would like to attend The Division Of Nursing Program, It is a national premier nursing school based on excellence in education, research, and public service, as well as diversity in student population and program offerings. The Division of Nursing is dedicated to provide excellent, accessible, and responsive programs in the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels. This faculty is committed to promote career mobility in students interest in pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree by providing several program options to both traditional and non-traditional learners. The program options include: Traditional, Paramedic to BSN, Accelerated BSN, and RN to BSN. Sixty hours are required in the general education core and support courses for the nursing major.
The institution that I have decided to attend is the University of Central Florida. The main reason why I chose this school was because it will help me save money and I won’t need to travel anywhere to get my degree. Another big reason as to why I chose this school is because they have many great programs that will help me be better prepared when I begin my career such as their Modeling, Stimulation, and Training Epicenter which is used to prepare nursing students with different types of scenarios that they might face while working and also helps them work hands on rather than watching someone else do the job. UCF was also a good choice because their Medical Mission trips could help me and other nursing students travel to other places in the
It was dark and there were so many noises around me as I slowly woke up and recalled I was in a hospital with abdominal pain. I then heard a familiar voice say “Sweetie, wake up! Wake up!” I opened my eyes to a blurry image of my mother. “Shhh… don't make any noises. We're leaving now. Just act like you are fine. We'll try to sneak out before anyone notices”, my mother said. She explained later that she could not afford to pay hospital bills, so we had to leave before any physician checked over. Living in Vietnam, I was filled with resentment towards their healthcare system, as people were rejected treatment and left to perish in the streets. As a child, I therefore never considered medicine as a career. My spark for medicine was unforeseen until I went on a high school field trip at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. Hovering over the glass ceiling of the operating theater, I watched doctors performing coronary bypass surgery while witnessing the heart beat stronger and stronger. At this magical moment, I was overwhelmed by the power of medicine to save people’s lives.
The reason I came to Campbell University is simple, after my Military career I remained in Fayetteville, NC. I managed to get a decent job at the hospital there and work full-time in the Emergency room for the last year. During this time I was to figure out what I wanted in life and that was to get into the healthcare industry. Even though Campbell isn't my first University I attended, its been a while since I was last in school, having served in the Military for the last five years. After applying to the Exercise and Sport Science program at Campbell University, I began to look at what I needed to do in order to fulfil my goals in life. After I complete my Bachelors, I plan on getting accepted into Campbell Universities, Physician Assistant Masters Program.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is known by many for its cutting-edge programs, including having the 27th ranked school for my major of interest, interior architecture. I have a tremendous passion for designing and I would love to make a future career out of it. With the help of the education at UW Madison and the hundreds of research facilities, I know that I can learn everything that I need to in order to reach my goal of graduating from a top tier university, as well as finding the necessities to have a successful future.
Penn State is a tradition in my family and I hope to carry on that tradition. The last three generations of my family; my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all attended Penn State. Now it is my time to become the fourth generation. I want to be able to have pride in the institution my family members loved to attend and take part in the activities that make Penn State great. I cannot wait to attend athletic events, join clubs, and participate in philanthropic activities such as THON. I want to be part of the Penn State community to make friends not just for my time spent at PSU but for a lifetime. My success at Penn State will be from my desire to take part in the institution through events and academics.
Texas A&M is quite known for their outstanding sports teams, but what people may not realize is that the school offers many diverse courses including the profoundly excellent nursing program(“Texas A&M University”). Texas A&M’s nursing program excels in places other universities don’t. Although the program is great, it can be costly. On average, the basic cost for a student who is not a resident of the College Station area is about $28,000 within a year of learning. (“Texas A&M University”) The cost may seem intimidating, but the end result is definitely worth the price. The college can offer everything a person might need to achieve their goal, whatever their career choice might be. And during a person’s off time, they can
When it came to choosing a nursing program/school that best fits my interests and the future of my nursing career, I researched a few of nursing schools and finally came to the conclusion that my best option is the University of Michigan School of Nursing. One of the major reasons for my desire to transfer to this nursing program is that it provides a comprehensive learning environment and prepares its students very well that they have one of the highest rates of its students passing the NCLEX. To succeed in both my nursing studies and my future nursing career, I need a school that will push me to the best I can be to achieve my goal to become a nurse, and I believe this program will do that for me. Another reason I want to transfer to this
