Our Kitchen for All Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) offers a lot for us, students, in the Residence Halls. Comfortable lounges for us to study and hang out with our friends, free cable, accessible water fountains, and microwaves and mini-fridges are already provided for us. However, something valuable is missing from our Residence Halls that would have been a huge plus to living on campus. Where are our kitchens? The meal options at OLLU are great, but the food at the Cyber Café tends to get boring and bland, and the Sister Annie B's Cafeteria can get crowded with long lines to get food. Cooking is what makes food exciting and more gratifying, but without a kitchen, how will we ever learn to cook for ourselves and enjoy food? The new …show more content…
I believe that we, the student body, should have a student kitchen facility because it will give all students access to a kitchen, help students improve their cooking, and will be a great spot for students to get together and …show more content…
Creating a new building for a kitchen is over the budget, so I decided that OLLU can convert one of their lounges to a kitchen. I believe that the Cyber Café’s lounge can easily be converted into a kitchen; the computers can be put somewhere else in need of more computers. Kitchen counters should then be brought and go around the lounge room. Two sinks are to be built for students to clean up the dishes and counters. Three and four tables can be placed in the middle of the kitchen with five chairs for each table; this where people can hang out. The kitchen will have six double hot plates and four toaster ovens for us students use. The kitchen will also have four sets of pot and pans with six sets of cooking utensils, mixing bowls, and measuring cups. The Cyber Café can start carrying spices for students to use. The Cyber Café can also provide one of their refrigerators with fresh cooking ingredients; like eggs, meats, vegetables, and fruits. This can make better use of one of the Cyber Café’s refrigerators because it barely carries anything in it. It is the perfect storage area for students to access fresh foods to cook with. This kitchen can make students happy and it will benefit the OLLU community in many ways to
Food plays an important role in our lives, especially in college. Food affects people financially, nutritionally, and educationally. The dining halls at Virginia State University are a major source of meals and food for students. Needless to say, it is important that those students can eat at these dining halls. The problem with this is that the cost of campus dining is way too expensive for the limited options we have.
A desire to extend my knowledge and use it to develop my family business is the main reason for my decision to pursue Master’s degree in construction engineering and management at your prestigious university.
Before I answer the questions posed, I believe an explanation is owed regarding this request for admission into Saybrook. I originally applied to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeking a degree in business psychology. Since the program was not ready to start for another year, it was suggested that I take courses in the international psychology program. I thoroughly enjoyed this new experience with an opportunity to “think global”. I optioned to remain in this program with a concentration in organizations and systems. As I sojourned through, I was always aware that there was still something missing. Although I loved being part of the IP program, my roots are deeply entrenched in the world of organizational development (OD).
All of my life, I have worked hard to improve myself. I was born in Nigeria and received a bachelor's degree in electrical electronic engineering. Afterwards, I was employed in a variety of capacities in the fields of IT. This was very exciting, because Nigeria is a nation that is only just beginning to enjoy the full fruits of the worldwide digital revolution. I was able to assist in building IT infrastructures from 'the ground up' in the companies where I was employed.
The meal setting is a buffet, because of this, the location could be inside or outside. I have chosen to base the location as in the Bobcat Dinning Center. Because of this, there would be no need to use table cloths, catering plates or silverware. Instead, normal plates, cups, and other dinning ware could be used which would save time and money. Once the students arrive, they would have the choice of each station, offering variety, but if they are confined to the home cooking line, they would still have options.
Kitchen facilities are not provided. Small microwave ovens may be used for warming food. Residents should use disposable dishes. Under no circumstances should residents wash dishes or throw food in any sink or toilet. Students will be charged for the cost of cleanup and repairs if damage results. Fines will increase with multiple offenses. Deep freezers, appliances with open heating coils, hotplates, electrical pans, toasters, ovens, sandwich makers etc. are not permitted and will be confiscated. Food items should be kept in closed containers. Cleaning of game or fish is prohibited.
1. The restaurant i chose was The Wildcat's Den for many reasons. The first reason is the food is healthy and it will benefit the kids. So they wouldn't feel hungry and get enough nutrition for the day. The second reason is they offer high percentage on the food, therfore the school will be able to rebuild the pool and tennis court. The student will be able to give a percentage to the school when purchasing any meal which will help the school clubs and sports.
Purdue is more than just a college to me. I was captivated by how Purdue allows students to achieve their goals, but also guides them to get there through challenging classes and caring staff. Purdue has proved to me that I can dive deep into the classes to learn about life in the real world, as well as thrive in it. With a club for everyone, I will be able to pursue my current passions as well as explore more. Purdue is not simply another college. Purdue is a school that will build the future of America and the
The University of West Florida has many luxuries to offer to its faculty and student body. With that being said, there is plenty of room for improvement regarding places to eat on campus. If one does choose to eat on campus his options are limited to the Nautilus Market, Papa Johns, Quiznos, or a meal from the Galley. Although these eateries sound delightful, they are simply not enough to satisfy the campus community. Our university is in dire need of a new food chain. I propose adding one of the nationally renowned Chipotle restaurants in the Commons. Chipotle is the perfect option because it offers a variety of Mexican food that no other restaurant on campus can such as their famous burrito or burrito bowl. Its food and reputation are so successful that students will drive an hour to Destin, Florida, or Mobile, Alabama, to indulge. The following recommendations will prove to not only benefit the faculty and students that attend the university but generate considerable revenue for

Throughout the 2014/2015 school year the Student Government Association has received comments from a vocal minority about the lack of evening food service here at Evergreen Technical College. This information was forwarded to us, the Student Government Food Service Committee. The vocal minority feels that food service needs to be offered at Evergreen Technical College in the evening; the planning, supervision, and workforce that allows Evergreen to provide similar food service during the day is not available; providing food service cannot become a reality unless sufficient demand is measured to be present.
I had no idea that American University’s motto was identical to my sophomore summer’s epiphany which evolved during a South Dakota Habitat for Humanity (HH) project. My impression that I knew how hard life could be, especially after my parents’ tumultuous divorce, was dispelled. I was determined to think and act based upon the direction I wanted my life to take.
Show off your cooking skills in the fully equipped kitchen, which has everything you need to make a culinary gem , such as a refrigerator, stove, and all the utensils you could possibly need. After your mouth watering meal is finished, enjoy it at the dining room table, and place a bet on who you think is going to win in a game of ping-pong out in the
As soon as I stepped on to Stevenson University's gorgeous campus, I knew it was the perfect fit for me. Academically, I know that I can thrive in the career-oriented learning environment provided throughout the entire campus. The small class size is a perfect fit for me, as I like to build relationships with my teachers and fellow students. I thrive in a strong, diverse community of individuals all seeking to better themselves. I know that I can reach my goal of becoming not only a paralegal, but a well-rounded member of society through all of the teachings and experiences that this university can offer. Being such a driven and compassionate person, I know that through programs like Best Buddies and Not For Sale, I can make a difference and
Expectations in a new semester are always exciting feelings, and I am a kind of guy that love those feelings. First of all, going to University is a big deal in the life of each one who decides to enroll, but not everyone who attends has the same expectations. Coming to Florida Memorial University, I have high hope and expectations. I recognize that I want to have a lot of fun socially, but I also want to be successful academically. I believe Florida Memorial University is a nice place for me. I guess being on this campus is going to help me grow up as a person.
