After close analyzation of my five selfies, I have established the three words that most describe my selfies are shared, joyful, and close. Two of these words accurately describe my identity, one does not. I don’t like to be the center of attention and my selfie reflects this because they all are sharing the focus with someone or something else, therefore one of my words is shared. I am a joyful person and my selfie shows this because they are all at a place that makes me feel joy or with someone or something that brings me joy. The only word that doesn’t describe my identity is close because I don’t like to be the main point of focus. The reason for the selfies being a close-up of me though, is because I took the pictures without the …show more content…
You can also see the window but not what’s outside because there is a white glare on it. The plum-red color of her dress is a very strong noticeable color that stands out. Red is a color that often evokes a powerful emotion of passion. My tuxedo is the color black which is a very powerful color that can portray one of class and wealth. The color white in the picture is the color of my dress shirt and is also the color of the glare that shows through the window. White is associated with being clean, pure, and peaceful. When first viewing this selfie without analyzing it, there are some judgments that could be made. Some of these judgments could be that we are each other’s dates for something. That one of us is driving. We are in one of our cars. We are on our way to or coming back from some type of formal gathering. This gathering is fancy or formal attire. We are having a good time. After suspending judgments, we can move on to defining significant parts of the selfie and how they are related. What I find most interesting in this selfie is that we are both dressed in formal attire, her in a dress and myself in a tuxedo. What I find most strange about this selfie is that I am covering half of my girlfriend in the picture with myself. What I find most revealing is that I have put myself as the focus point in the selfie. What these details might lead the viewer to conclude about the rhetoric of the picture is that we are trying to indicate
It is undoubtedly because of my parents, and their unwavering support, that I have decided to dedicate my energy towards helping others. Both of them inspired my love affair with science and medicine in their own ways, and not just through their support of me and my decisions. Before I graduated high school, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her doctors were amazing, and the support staff we met with were equally incredible. This positive experience during this difficult period cemented in my mind that whatever I did, I wanted to help people. For years, my father struggled with prescription drug abuse, before finally checking himself into a rehabilitation facility. His eventual triumph over his addiction has inspired me in ways he could never imagine. Discovering effective medicines that do not hold a risk for dependency is an issue that is very personal for me and is something that I am determined to pursue once I am finished my PharmD degree.
Red is used in literature to represent death and blood because of this authors tend to use the color whenever death or destruction is a contributing factor to the story. In Poe’s short story the ebony room contains scarlet decor which foreshadows the deaths that are going to occur at the end of the story.
With given a choice of what to write this paper, I could not get past the subtle nature of who we are as God’s creations. This fundamental truth of our identity is simplified with the truth of our identity in Jesus. We are created in God’s image with a purpose here on earth to display all of God’s greatness, His beauty, and to reveal all of His character aspects. Best of all, we are completely dependent on God. This new enlightenment of my identity in Christ as God’s creation will allow me to help people around the world become one with Christ by revealing the truth of their identity.
Colour symbolism is used very efficiently in this movie, the colours itself tells a story and portrays a certain character's persona. The colour white in the movie was mainly associated with Daisy, in the movie daisy is always seen in white clothing, white represents pure beauty, purity, positivity and innocence. In one scene where Nick is going over to his cousins Daisy’s house for dinner he walks into a room where she had been, Daisy was wearing a white dress, wind was blowing from her white windows into her white curtains, and a clear chandelier right above her this portrayed daisy as an innocent naive, pure woman. White also symbolises emptiness, ruthlessness and selfishness, this had been linked to Daisy very well as under her purity and innocence she is a superficial, hollow, cold and selfish hearted person.
Walking into my kitchen, one December evening of 2014, I saw the printed itinerary for our upcoming trip. There, at the very top, in my mom’s cursive, was written “Hollywood.” Possessing a deep appreciation for travel and cities, I was thrilled to add another place to my repertoire. With adrenaline pumping through my veins, I rushed into my closet, dug up my scruffy suitcase and lugged it back to my mom. Haphazardly, I began compiling my favorite outfits, my room suddenly resembling a disaster zone. It was then, tangled up in feelings of exhilaration and chaos, that I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience, one that would stay embedded in my memory for years to come.
After high school, I plan to pursue a college degree at the University of Texas in Austin, or another top tier college, in order to double major in business and chemistry. The reason I wish to major in these two disciplines is because of my involvement in the technology startup industry and my work promoting STEM. Through my participation in an honors or research program, my goal is to conduct a research project analyzing the disparities that exist for minorities in the STEM industry, as well as noteworthy solutions organizations are using to eradicate those disparities.

This bridal suite can be mostly associated to being a place where there will be an abundance of love (relating to roses) and happiness. Instead this is the place where a horrible crime was committed. The hue of this room was rose coloured, as though Miss Emily would see this room through rose coloured glasses. This term is usually used as an expression when someone sees things a lot better than they actually are. The hue in this room is referring to how Miss Emily thinks that her way of life is acceptable, even though what she is doing is completely out of the ordinary.
Red symbolizes passion, danger, and much more but for this woman, a dress the color red symbolizes her desires on how she wants to live her life. When figuring out what to wear for the day as a girl you typically do not pick out a provocative red dress. At the start of the poem Addonizio explains what the red dress should look like: I want a red dress.
It was the movie “Super Size Me” that had ignited my passion for dietetics when I was in high school. However, I simultaneously heard comments about how insecure and tedious it is to be a dietician. Struggling between the choice of security and interest, I choose the United States to be the dream place for my future study.
It was one of many that looks almost identical. It depicts me focusing on the camera, with a simple gray t-shirt, blond-brown hair, a black choker, with a background of my room. Additionally, The angle of the camera is down facing upward at me. It is an up close photo that seeks to highlight my face and my mood. When making an observation of my form of visual representation through self portrayal I am able to recognize how Encheva’s ideologies can be applied to my selfie. Firstly, the angle of the camera is what sticks out most keenly to me. Encheva states, “the camera height is also significant: the view from below (low angle) makes the represented subject look imposing and awesome…” (151). As the taker and point of focus in the photo I am able to elaborate that my intentions were just as Encheva eluded. It is difficult to admit how important self image is. Furthermore, this is more than just a photo that I took just to have fro myself as it was a photo that I soon after posted on Instagram. While I am not one that seeks validation from others it does make one feel “cool” or is a slight confidence booster if the photo receives a number of likes of

Yet now, nearly two centuries later, we find ourselves at a challenging crossroads. We live in the era of the selfie. Our lives are not directly experienced as much as they are Snapchatted, Instagrammed, and Tweeted, constituting a sort of composite selfie. We embrace a twenty-first century of technology, yet one might wonder what there is to be said of a society that is so devoted to taking its own picture.
As a Ph.D. in Computer Science, I have passions for software techniques! Specifically, I enjoy the sense of achievement when I solved challenging problems using my own codes! I always love to work on the "cool" things, such as building a self-driving vehicle, designing new algorithms for robots, developing web applications, etc. Indeed, I feel a growth on my experience and abilities by working on several software projects collaboratively with others. Attracted by the magic and creativity of Snapchat, I adore the cool work that applies the computer vision techniques to the social app and makes people joyful. I want to become one of the members working on it!
Despite the fact that we’re already in the 21st century, society continues to show signs of progress and development strongly leaning towards the direction of advancement, constantly evolving. This pattern is no different from the world of advertising, as it has also evolved through the years and quite recently an unexpected technological innovation took the world by storm. It made such a tremendous impact that eventually led to the transformation of traditional marketing, and it’s no other than social media that we all learned to love.
