I will be more candid and I will make sure I am well-known throughout my grade. I will become more oriented with clubs and I will try and even get into sports to become even more known. I want to be known more so I stand out and so that colleges can see that I am a good student that is trying her best. My classmates help me more than they know, and I to them. Social skills is a big step towards anyone's career. It is a big step into life from high school. I will continue to converse among my peers and me, and my classmates will look back and thank each other.
Year 2015 is when I started my freshman year. Although I was in high school since 8th grade, the title “Freshman” made this school year more nervous. Freshman year starts a lot of things for me. Such as academy program, swim team, and grade that would actually count toward college. It is very hard to get used to high school and creates a lot of stress.
My palms were sweating, my heart was racing, I had no idea what to expect or who I was going to meet. I was never the type of girl to embrace new situations, I hated change and I wasn’t very good with meeting new people. I figured once I got to high school it would be my chance to start all over, turn the page in my book of life, and flip over a new leaf. I wanted to finally be the girl that fit in with everyone. I had imagined myself going to parties with big groups of my new friends, having sleepovers and doing all of the things cool high school kids normally do. I was certain that my high school career would be just like one of those really corny teen movies and I would live happily ever after with the homecoming crown and the boy of my
What am i doing after high school?; is the question I get asked quite often. After high school i plan on attending college. I want to attend college to study Forensic Science. I will be attending Ocean County College, then transferring to Pace University. I will be working in the afternoons at a Bay Lea Youth Services. I chose to make these decisions in going further with my education and career because i do not want to go to college and end up coming back from college and looking for a job while being broke and figuring out a way how to pay off college. I want to be able to pay off college as i go because i do not want to end being 30 years old and still having to pay off college. Going to college and still having a job is going to be difficult but i rather have have that difficulty now then later struggle.
Hi! Im Shelby from MMS.I am super eager to be a freshman at highschool next year but i'm also nervous. With being eager and nervous I am also really adventurous, creative, curious about how things work, and kind. I wouldnt say im the best student because I am still working on managing my time wisely. I can work well under pressure but I don't want to have to in the future.I also have to work on turning things in on time.I have to be a good example because I am the oldest of two half brothers. One goes to Kindergarten academy right now his name is Elijah. And my other half brother goes to West shore academy the private school, his name is Jackson. They are both in kindergarten.
For years up until highschool, I had successfully tried out for and made a variety of sports teams. That is, until sophomore year. It was my first year trying out for the Winnacunnet baseball team, which everyone had known to be terrible for years. 3 months full of hard work later with that idea still in my mind, I was filled with a weird mixture of confusion, anger, and sadness when I was told that I had been cut from the team before the start of the season. At the time I thought that day ended my entire baseball career, I’d never play another meaningful inning of the game I loved ever again. I decided against that idea though, I wasn’t gonna let one bad event stop me from following my dreams. So starting that summer, I trained all year round
One of the most unique traits of Central High School is its commitment to provide a well- rounded education in a variety of academic fields. As a student with a wide range of interests in both the sciences and arts, I see this institution as one that has the potential to give me the most forward-focused experience as a high school student. Not only does it offer all the resources and support expected of an exemplary establishment, it also exposes one to impressively diverse academics, individuals, and extracurricular activities. After much deliberation, I have decided Central to be one of the top high schools I will consider in my application.
Five minutes before the bell rings Kelsey comes back and we head to my next class which is math, hopefully this entrance is better than my last blocks. We head in an a young blonde short teacher with thick glasses is writing formulas on the board, we walk in and she looks our way and grins she says welcome to her class and her name is Mrs. Williams and then she walks to her desk and hands me a folders with a bunch of papers, she said to keep those I will need them. She says my seat is next to the window in the back, good because I don’t want none of these skanks behind me. The bell rings and minutes later the room fills with students. As they are walking in they stare at me like i’m a alien or something, as class goes on I notice a few of the
During my teenage years, I was extremely indecisive in the career I wanted to pursue and if I could even successfully complete middle school and high school. I was constantly surrounded by students who were not enthusiastic about academic performance and I did the minimum effort to get through the academic week. Education was my least priority.
I am fortunate enough to have born into a healthy middle class family. I have never had to worry about not having enough food on the table, or getting the electricity cut off. I still have all four of my grandparents and live in a safe neighborhood. My life has, thankfully, been easy so far. I have never had to make huge, life changing decisions. Well, that is until now, with college and my life after high school quickly approaching.
Being from a community in which not every girl is given the chance to study further and fulfill their dreams, it was really hard for me to make my way through the path of obstacles. Something that is essential to understand me is my way to perceive and look at things accordingly. Since my childhood, I have been perceiving things as I like to because one should attempt to do things as he/she likes to not how other people want him/her to. The outer beauty is meant for wooing others and it could be vanished easily but the inner beauty remains forever and makes a person an exception among others. Nobody is perfect and nor am I, so I always try to become an honest and a truthful person. If I have to say the most significant barrier that is stopping me from
I graduated from BCHS in 2012 and got my high school diploma, where majority of the extra curricular classes I took were in the arts with a goal aiming towards film making. Outside of school I would work on electronics and help my mom with projects around the house since it was the two of us, so we would frequent menards, especially when I started making spray paintings. Right now I'm helping my grandparents around their house with general maintenance, but I would like to do so much more for them.
On the 28th I'm done with high school. This whole week I've been sitting in class thinking and reminiscing about my earliest school memories around 3rd grade to now. I just sit there thinking, like damn there's alot of people from my elementary and middle school I got to see and talk to again. Most were really good friends but alot of them are also not on good life paths right now. I wonder if God put them here to show me what I avoided getting into and what little I actually missed out on. Just crazy to think about. Truly blessed and thankful for my momma, who is the main reason for all this.
I come from a big family many aunts and uncles from a little ranch in Chihuahua, Mex. Many of which have never made it past grade school. Mainly due to their mother, my grandma, she had gotten very ill and many of them would have to drop out of school and work to help pay for her medication and medical expenses. The older siblings had to take of the younger ones. Times were tough the ultimately they all had to drop out and work. Which for the younger generation of the family, my generation, our schooling is our top priority. They are there to help lend a hand to the best of their abilities to see us succeed. I have taken this very seriously and I will not let them down
What I learned from my partner's answer was she doesn’t receive any forms that relays any information about the curriculum that’s being learned in her daughter’s classroom. She typically knows what her child is learning because she sits down every night to go over her daughter’s homework and review together, apart from the fact that she needs to sign the homework for the teacher every day. She confessed that sometimes she struggles with the homework because she doesn’t remember using some of the methods, in the homework while she was in school herself. When occasions like this happen she tends to google or YouTube the answers. Like mentioned earlier she’s the one who puts most of the efforts to communicate with the teacher. She believes if
Throughout my high school career, I have been a very dedicated student. Much like the prestigious students I surround myself with, most of my nights are spent studying for exams, completing homework assignments, writing essays, and keeping on track for the long term goal of college. My academic record does show how I am as a student in limelight. Some years my grades fall due to personal indolence. Other years my grades would be in flying colors, it was dependent on what my motivation was. I found that motivation around junior year and ended that year with a 3.79 GPA and a class rank of 40/145. Though I wish my class rank were higher, my school is a charter school so it is very competitive, even students with GPA's of above 4.00 nearly miss
