Beast Baseball Do you like sports? If you said yes, what is your favorite sport. Today I’m going to do tell you why baseball (A.K.A “America's Sport) is the best sport ever played. And hopefully you will agree by the time this essay is over. For starters, you can play so much ball as a kid. For example, there is so much tournaments that you can play in every weekend. Which brings me to my next point. In some tournaments, you can earn rings! That’s right, if you are in a high-level tournament, then you will probably get a ring if you are in first on second place. Also it is a lot of fun trying to beat teams to stay alive. And while you are playing you meet a lot of new teams too. Sometimes you might even encounter a few rivals down the
There is something magical in the crack of a baseball bat meeting a baseball. The hush of the crowd before the pitch allows the 1.4 kHz to echo through the stadium. This sound needs no onomatopoeia; we can all recall it from a memory at a baseball park or from any of the countless baseball movies ever produced. This classic sound has traveled through the years, from the beginnings of professional baseball to today. First called a national pastime in 1856, baseball has endured over two hundred and twenty years as a sport in America, almost as long as America has been America. It has been with us through revolutions, civil wars, world wars, and depressions. To quote Gerald Early in Ken Burns’ documentary, Baseball, “There are only three things that America will be remembered for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: The Constitution, Jazz music, and Baseball.”
Baseball has been played by millions of people all over the world. The sport has been a staple of entertainment on radio and tv for many years. And just in the last few decades there has been a huge spike in arm injuries, and a lot of them have been in younger players. "Year-round baseball is number one,"is what Dr. Andrews said about Tommy John surgery(Snyder). What year round baseball means is that players play baseball in the fall and winter months, this never happened in years before. Also kids are now being allowed times for their arms to rest and heal. Year round baseball should definitely be regulated one reason is the increasing amount of arm injuries in younger kids, Also the kids may burn out mentally and not want to play the sport anymore, they may just one day say they do not want to
The game of baseball was invented by Abner Doubleday, in 1839- 177 years ago from today. Baseball has been, and is still today, known as America’s favorite pastime; additionally, due to its extensive history and partaking it monumental events, it can as well serve as a great topic to use in a story or poem. Poet Dale Ritterbusch, uses the game of baseball along with metaphors in his poem as a vehicle to write about a more substantial subject in poetry, the Vietnam War. His poem, “Behind the Plate”, can be simply over-looked to one as just a poem about an overweight catcher; nonetheless, when closely examined, it has a deeper meaning. Authors Michael Cocchiarale and Scott Emmert, both agree with the statement that baseball is a great outlet for further analysis of a more important subject: “Writers have seen sports, particularly baseball, as a useful vehicle for cultural and epistemological analysis” (Cocchiarale).
The sport is such an integral part of our culture today that we Americans sometimes take for granted its significance in our everyday lives. Contemporary baseball is so closely related with American ideals and identity that it often has served as an expression of patriotism. In times of national hardships, baseball has been used to encourage and rally the nation. In speaking of the emergence of America's nationalism in the historic and contemporary playing field, there are several key issues that surface. Of these issues I will specifically address the long residuals of how baseball has helped to establish our (Americans) national spirit and identity. That is the links between our heritage and national institutions and the game of baseball as a cultural and political representative abroad and unifying tradition at home. I will also address ideals and injustices. That is how baseball's acceptability has changed over time, and how this acts as a microcosm for America's changing attitudes about equality and opportunity.
What sport do you enjoy playing or watch the most? For me the answer had always been Baseball. Starting being played in the late 1800s Baseball has since become a national Pastime in the United States. I hope this speech will help you gain a better understanding on how the sport is played.

Baseball also is a game of strategy, that makes you debate whether or not to bunt, steal, or hit a sacrifice fly ball. America’s pastime is a very entertaining sport that leaves all spectators on the edge of their seat’s. Baseball is by far my favorite sport and is the perfect sport.

Baseball is America’s favorite pastime because everyone
Baseball should be the best sport in the world. Baseball is the best because it shows tons of respect to america, commemorates all black and white athletes, and is the only game that you continually have to keep playing. Baseball is one of america's past time and the game has grown and evolved around america and its tragedies. Baseball shows respect to america by commemorating the national anthem before every game and honoring our troops and tragedies.
Running, catching, and hitting are some types of actions used in the game of baseball.
Baseball owns the top honor of being america's original pastime. Dating back to the late 1800s. Which makes it the oldest organized sport in the country. There is something just so American about heading to the ballpark on a hot summer night, more than any professional sport. But what I think separates baseball from any other sport is its ability to relate to life.
It’s the bottom of the ninth, with two outs and the bases are loaded. It’s every hitters dream. You either make it or break it. You will either win the game for your team or lose it. Baseball has been around for many years, and it is one of the most well known sports worldwide. Baseball was first played in 1845 and ever since then it has grown more popular every single year. I believe baseball is the best sport and many people would agree with me. I think baseball is the best sport because it is enjoyable, you can’t stall in baseball, and there are a variety of positions.

Being part of team is something special. Weather it's a sport or school related team, you meet people that mean something to you. Doing what you love with a group of passionate people. You build all these memories of when you lead your team to victory and moments where as a team fall together. Your performance will be at the top and sometimes you just drop. You'll make many enemies and you'll find out who are your real friends and see who really wants to see you succeed. You become blindsided and don’t even know what's going on around you. You start to realize how shady people can be. Jealousy starts to build and before you know it, the worst of the worst situations start to hit you. There are many different reasons why including sports in a child’s life can help build them for their future. A few of the more obvious reasons include healthy weight, social skills, and self-discipline. According to Greg Wells of aboutkidshealth.ca, “Starting a child in an organized sport gives them a healthy habit of physical activity to see them right through to adulthood and help them ward off many age- and weight-related ailments” (Wells). In addition to the short-term benefits, as children develop in life with the inclusion of sports, they learn to become attentive and gain stronger strategy skills (Wells). More specifically, football has the potential to develop strong
Many people argue that competitive sports raise numerous amounts of pressure on the youth making them distracted from things such as their education and because it can cause severe injuries, but some people argue that youth should play competitive sports because it teaches major life lessons that can help with many different aspects of their future such as college, getting a job, and many more. Playing competitive sports also improves your physical strength, another physical aspect of playing competitive sports is decreasing your chance of being obese or having disease. If you don't prefer to play competitive sports there are alternative options such as biking or walking to school. In an HT Health article “Sports Seen As Key Weapon in Fighting Teen Obesity” it says that in a study with 1,700 kids, ten percent walked or biked to school 3 ½ days a week,, in the study they found that biking or walking to school lowered the risk of being obese by 33%. I argue that kids should play competitive sports because of the important life skills taught through these sports and the physical benefit of playing sports. In this paper I will explain how communication, time management, and lowering the risk of being obese; supports my claim, “Kids should play competitive sports”
