Thanksgiving is a very special time of the year. It’s my favorite holiday because you get to see your family and eat some good food. My family gather together to bond and cook a great Thanksgiving meal. We are constantly competing with each other in the kitchen. Here’s how my family and I prepare for Thanksgiving. By the end you want to do some of these things with your family.
First my sisters and I make a list of all the food or ingredients that we already have. We also make a list of all of the foods and ingredients we need to buy from the store. You can also go on line and look for some coupons on certain things you may need. My sisters and I do this as well, it helps to cut down on the cost of our meal. You need to also decide what store

We tend to find everything quicker this way and rarely miss anything. Each group usually takes about an hour to find everything that we need. The store is usually crowded so we don’t like to waste any time. When we have found everything we proceed to check out.
After we have paid for our items and have loaded our groceries into the vehicle we go for ice cream. Even though we know that it will probably put us behind and hour or two we like to spend sister time with each other. On our way home we call to check and see how everything back at my parents’ house is going. The brothers are in charge of frying the turkey since they are good at that. My mom usually fusses about what was taking us so long and tells us to hurry on home.
Next, immediately when we pull up in the drive-way the clock is already ticking. Everybody is running around trying to get to the good pots and pans before the other. My youngest brother and I usually make my mom get on the older siblings to give us the good cookware. Of course they are mad and we just laugh it up. The whole time while we are competing we are having fun. Throwing things at each other and dancing around the kitchen. We make Thanksgiving as fun as
Every year for me, we head to my aunt's house on my mom's side at 2 o’clock where all the food is homemade. Soon after that we go to my grandma on my dad's side were the food is a little bit worse. Other people often have Thanksgiving held at their house. The whole family comes to their house for Thanksgiving. I thought everyone had two Thanksgiving like me!
What does your family do on thanksgiving? My family compared to other family’s might do something the same or something different It all depends on the family. Thanksgiving is a holiday when the whole family gets together and feast. In my family this is when all of my family members come together. The thing about my family is that we are like a broken family. Everyone doesn’t get along. So that causes a lot of problems on the table. My family is also outspoken and they like to start trouble. So that’s when the arguments start.
Thanksgiving is the time to come to enjoy each other's company and eat good. Most of the time families watch football together and catch up with each other. Thanksgiving is the best holiday hands down. I’m talking even better than Christmas and Valentine's Day. I love Thanksgiving because it is during the best time of year, there is so much good food, and the meaning and purposes have stayed good and the same over the years. Christmas and Valentine's day are exciting and fun, but the little details make Thanksgiving much better. Its these little details that make the Thanksgiving holiday and season more enjoyable and pleasant.
In my house hold, Thanksgiving is honestly not a “big deal”, but it is well cherished regardless. Family that I have living around the bay area would come to my house and would bring the sweet items. Items like pecan pie, cherry pie, carrot cake, and homemade cookies. I guess you could say that’s kind of a tradition of ours? The main cooking is left to my mom and I, that’s where we bring out the Turkey, sometimes we would fry it or just bake it regularly, the mac and cheese homemade with a different mix of cheeses, a potatoe casorle with egg, and a side of stuffing either stuffed into the turkey or baked outside the turkey.
First, don't think of this as a day that you have to do something traditional. Instead, think of this time as a way to do something "special". When many moms are spending Thanksgiving morning basting some big turkey, you can spend time frying up some sweet smelling gingerbread pancakes topped with whipped cream topping and hot syrup and served with freshly cut pineapple

At 3 o’clock we start shooting, we don’t shoot animals, we shoot disks. Whoever can shoot the highest amount of disks in 5 minutes wins, whoever wins get $50, we do this for about 2 hours. The people I interviewed don't really do what I do. The most common thing i’ve noticed families do on Thanksgiving is play board games or just games around the table. Also, a few families have their family time outsides.

Walking out of the front door sights of yellow, orange, and bright red autumn leaves flow in the wind like tiny dancers. The feeling of warm air and smells like hot apple cider symbolizing a new season and new traditions. Many people have different memories from their fall traditions that will teach future generations to come. Traditions are very important in society. Regardless of race or religion, all parts of the world follow many diverse traditions, such as Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of America's most treasured holidays and traditions. While there are some constants in the way we observe the day, it can mean different things to different people. As part of my human experience, my family and I celebrate the holiday of harvest and
At Easter, our extended family comes over and we have egg hunts for the little kids, kids, and adults. We also eat Easter brunch together. On Thanksgiving we also have our extended family over! Our family will eat an immense dinner cooked by my mother and my aunts. Football is usually playing on the TV, and everyone is having a great time. Christmas is our family’s most celebrated holiday. On Christmas Eve, we have lunch with some of our friends at Troegs. Later in the evening, we go to my mom’s brother’s house to give gifts and have a good time. On Christmas Day my immediate family will celebrate christmas together eating a delicious breakfast- usually cinnamon buns- and give gifts. Later that day, we’ll head over to our nana’s house and then to my grandma’s house. At my Grandma’s house we celebrate Christmas and my cousin’s birthday (which is on the same day). Two days after Christmas we will celebrate my birthday, which is on the
Thanksgiving is more than just a day off or a break from school, it’s more than just a holiday. It’s more than just stuffing your face with mash potatoes and turkey. It's a time to fellowship and give thanks. This year has brought about multiple challenges, but we have stayed faithful and strong as a family. There is nothing more powerful than our family. God has blessed me with such a solicitous family.
I spend my Thanksgiving going to my grandma and grandpas house and have a great lunch.
