Imagine a warm Saturday in July. You are walking on your favorite hiking trail, with nothing but your clothes, a map, and a backpack filled with essentials. The only sounds you can hear are the leaves and branches crunching beneath your shoes, the wind rustling through the trees, and the distant melody of singing birds. Or perhaps you are wading through a lake, the cold water engulfing you, the sun warming your face. How do you feel? Stressed out and anxious? Or relaxed and peaceful? If you are like most people, you probably feel relaxed and peaceful. Exercising, especially outdoors, is a great way to not only get in shape physically, but also to reduce stress and improve your overall quality of life. Most experts agree that just two and a half hours per week of an aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, cycling, or running, can decrease your risk of contracting a chronic illness such as heart disease, diabetes, or cancer. Even moderate exercise throughout the week can improve depression and anxiety, though. Increasing your heart rate can reverse stress-induced brain damage by stimulating the production of neurohormones, which improve your brain function and mood. Exercise also forces the body’s nervous systems to communicate with each other, which improves the body’s ability to respond to stress. Exercising also increases your body temperature, which can have calming effects on the mind and lead to better sleep. Exercise helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which
Need an emotional lift? Or need to blow off some steam after a stressful day? According to a 2006 research paper published by University of Texas at Austin, a workout at the gym or a brisk 30-minute walk can help.(Logos) Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem.

Regular exercise has many benefits Exercise also helps to protect against depression, and helps you better manage stress.
Physical activity is able to shift neurons in your brain from a revved, stressed state-more vulnerable to dangerous cardiac rhythms and heart attacks-to a relaxed state.
Thirdly, physical exercise itself could re-shape our body, make body stronger and looks healthier. It hence can improve individual’s attractiveness and confidence and hence can enable a positive life attitude. Fourthly, since the physical exercise normally would enable individual to interact with others, socialising with participants and friends in a such low-stress way might meet human’s belonging needs. It therefore could make people have a good mood and recharge themselves to fight against stress (Elizabeth, 2011).
Since 1990s, many scientists agree that exercise has positive impacts on people’s physical health and mental health (SIME WE, 1987). From Morgan and O’Connor’s research, people can reduce stress and state anxiety by doing physical activities; also gain emotional pleasure from the process (Morgan and O’Connor, 1988). Later in 1997, Landers states that physical activities can reduce people depression after weeks of regular and routine exercise. In addition, people can benefit from more
The last time I saw Charlie outside prison walls we were on the run. Charlie was on the run, not I, I just went along for the ride because he was my husband. Charlie was on parole, but he loved to drink his booze. In our state it's a violation to drink while on parole.

“Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics,” announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. “What is your topic Cindy?” As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. “Waffles are better than pancakes.” I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. “Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!” I survived to live yet another day.
Exercise can and will change personal outlook, personal perceptions and this in turn affects other areas of life. Stress causes people to get agitated easily and to always be tense. Dance aerobics has been shown to help relieve stress and allow anyone to feel more relaxed. “Following a regular aerobics program gives you a sense of commitment and control - two positive mental attitudes that help counteract stress. Aerobics also relax tense muscles, thereby completing (and relieving) your body's stress response. Finally, medical research has shown that regular aerobic activity increases the body's production of endorphins (a natural sedative) and catecholamines (chemical substances that help stabilize moods).” (Aerobics for Health) Many times people are stressed about their weight, and this may cause depression. As Missett has stated in her book, The Jazzercise Workout Book, “Exercise has been proven more effective than antidepressants.” (21) She goes on to point out, “Stress can cause people to eat more than they should, causing more stress because they have realized how much more they have gained.” (19) She goes on to assert that “many stress related problems have occurred to many people due to lack of
Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
The object we use twice a day, and neglect quite a bit has proven to be one of the most successful devices to prevent gum disease if used. 7 in 10 Americans use it daily, and in a world with a population of 7.5 billion people, only 4.2 billion people own them, while 5.1 billion own a phone.(Hopkins Jeanne) Each one of them costs around 2 dollars, while the electric ones cost up to 4,000 dollars. (Green, Dennis)This device was voted as the number-one invention that most Americans could not live without. In fact, the average person spends 2,920 dollars a year on this.(How much could you potentially spend on toothbrushes?) While the average American spends 38.5 days of their life using it.( Hygiene, Oral) The toothbrush has to be one of most magnificent devices ever created, from whitening your teeth to making sure you have good hygiene, the toothbrush has made the impossible possible. To understand and learn about this miracle. We will first brush our way through it’s interesting and unique history. Second, we will rinse through why we should only use our brushes and not anyone else’s. Third, we learn about Ordontalophobia. Lastly, we will learn how to pick the perfect brush for us and how an old invention as the brush is still thriving.
Exercise is one of the best ways to deal with psychological problems, such as common problems such as stress or rather more serious issues such as depression or anxiety. Regular exercise reduces stress levels, improves a person’s sleep patterns, improves concentration and releases endorphins, ultimately giving you a better outlook on life. Cycling also liberates you and gives you the freedom that we need, living in our fast moving world.
“If you have time to watch television and surf the net, then you definitely have time to do physical activities. There is no excuse.” Do physical activities help people feel healthier? Yes, because physical activities help the people to reduce the fat in their body, maintain healthy lives, and they also help them improve their good mood. There are several types of physical activities: aerobic activities, cardio workouts, yoga, and vigorous-intensity activities. Each of them has different benefits. Generally, in order to maintain the healthy life, people should do physical activities at least thirty minutes per day or five days a week. This essay describes the benefits of physical activities and gives the tips to live a better life. Physical activities are beneficial for human health because they will make a person feel happy and comfortable, improve memory, and protect from dangerous diseases.
Exercise may be one of the most important influences on your overall health to date. While the only benefits that are mainly focused on are the physical benefits, significant psychological impacts can also be linked to exercise. Although some of these benefits aren’t viewed with much enthusiasm, studies have proven that exercise can actually improve one’s quality of life greatly by increasing not only their physical health but their mental health as well. It is because of this that exercise is a
