"Animals should not require our permission to live on earth. Animals were given the right to be here long before we arrived", Anthony Douglas Williams stated. Which is in fact, true. Most humans, like to characterize themselves as animal lovers. They do not like to see themselves as killers. Although animals may make good pets for people, humans take advantage of animals for their own benefit. Humans use animals for the food and fashion industry, research, and while doing that, they also destroy habitats. These are the main sources that depict humans as killers. As you can see, human beings are the source of animal cruelty. The food and fashion industry are two very popular industries that involve harming animals. Animals are imprisoned in slaughterhouses which prepare the animals for slaughter. Animals who are slaughtered provide food for people and other animals, skin for leather clothing and other goods, and hooves and bones are made into things that are used by people or other animals such as, dog chew toys and necklaces. Numerous farms and factories actually raise animals for slaughter and many animals are fed foods and drugs to make them grow but not healthier and instead of an injecting the animal with a syringe, many farmers put a steroid-loaded pellet between the skin and cartilage of the back of the animal's ear. Animals are mainly hunted for their skin, bones, internal organs or shell and Some of these items are very expensive to buy and are very valuable. Some
Ever since a young age, I have been a passionate animal enthusiast. I cannot image a life without a dog by my side. Animals are not just pets, or food, or part of the environment. They are intelligent creatures and deserve to be treated as such. Animals have evolved just as we have. The evolution theory even says humans evolved from primates. So why do animals not have rights? They have a brain and can learn and grow, just as we can. It can also be argued that animals have a soul. I believe animals not only have dignity, but they also have rights.
For years we have been making laws to run our society! For centuries, society has seen history repeat itself in such a devastating manner, and for many more years to come, humanity will see their potential underutilized. The Behavior towards this slow advancement has got to stop! We spend over $154 or more on the agricultural business, and $132 billion on drunk driving. A nations destructive behavior can be its true enemy. The continuation not only affects the people but will ruin the planet as a whole, we must adopt another in its place.
For thousands of years, animals have served the human race, whether it be for food, clothing, companionship, or laborious tasks. However, it wasn’t until 1966 that animals in the United States gained rights recognized by the government. The Animal Welfare Act protects the rights of cats, dogs, livestock, and various mammals from inhumane treatment and regulates their transportation, sale, and handling. To animal rights activists, this vague piece of legislation is simply not adequate. Animals such as birds and rodents are not even mentioned, and many of the animals that are supposed to be protected by this law are still the victims of cruel experimentation and exploited by inhumane factories. Vigorous action has been taken by groups commonly identified as terrorists, such as the Animal Liberation Front, but with no long-term effects such as improvements made on existing laws. They argue that sentient beings--animals capable of emotions--should be protected by the same legislation that governs humans. It is vital that new laws are created and enforced in order to end the cruel and inhumane treatment of animals in the United States.
Animal testing has been one of the issues that people are fighting overtime because of its moral. Even though some results of tests are successful on people, many people are still fighting for the animal’s rights. They believe that animals should have their own rights to live a free life where they belong, just like their species. In scientists point of view, animals have been one of the main subjects to test on, but a lot of them are currently looking forward to use and develop alternatives for the cruel act of animal testing.
The deeper I dig into animal abuse , the more I want to become a vegetarian. But it is not easy as it seems. The things that I have seen and read makes me sick to my stomach. To watch a hopeless cow, get whipped , is sickening. Watching baby Chicklets die in a big machine , brings tears to my eyes. Millions of animals every day die cruel deaths , and I no longer want to be an accomplice to the crimes. While it may be hard to retrain myself , I should and intend to just stop eating meat.
Imagine one minute running freely on the vast green terrain surrounding you, then the next locked up in a cold, hard, cage. It sounds horrible, right? Who would want to be locked up with minimal area to stretch your legs, and have people staring at you constantly? I for one, would hate that. I imagine that most animals locked up would share the same feelings. I personally, am against animals being caged. They do not deserve that kind of lifestyle and should not have to live with it just because humans pay money to see it. Animals are suffering greatly from being locked away. When an animal is bought, traded or given to a zoo, the animals rights are stripped away from them.
If animals could talk, what would they say? They would stand up for themselves. As you read these, another innocent animal is being abused, neglected, or being harmed in some other way. Animal cruelty is wrong and happening all over the world although one may not notice. Animals in zoos and circuses are abused. They are used for testing, although there are many other alternatives. Companies use them for their leather and fur products. Circuses force them to do tricks and keep them in cages.
Animal shelters are overflowing, some euthanizing dogs just because they no longer have the resources to care for these animals, yet people are still buying their dogs from the pet store. When getting a new dog, adopt it from the animal shelter rather than buying it from a pet store.
Smallpox, Polio, Insulin, Rubella, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Cardiac Pacemaker, Tetanus, Penicillia, Organ transplants, Blood transfusions and many more are all medical breakthroughs that have all be tested on animals to see if they will make humans better ( facts on animal research). If it wasn’t for animal testing than millions of people would have died, so many people were getting sick and dieing and no one knew why so by using different mixtures of chemicals a scientist was able to create vaccines that were first tested on animals to make sure that they are safe to use. Many of the household products such as lipstick, mascara, shampoo and cologne that we use in our everyday life are tested on animals first in order to see if they are safe
Your unwitting response only proves how adamant you are to twist and bend the rules to your convenience. The rules clearly state that "the tenant will ALSO be notified", with no further stipulation indicating that said notification is to further be forwarded by the owner of the unit. Also, VERBAL complaints are invalid, as you have stated numerous times, whenever we have addresses our own concerns with other dogs/people in the building. Therefore, you are purposely suppressing the rights we are entitled to, which is absolutely ridiculous and indicative of your personal agenda to attack, harass and discriminate against us, for no reason; which is a clear violation of the regulations set forth by the FHA, not to mention a violation of the IDFPR oath you are supposed to uphold as a licensed community association manager.
Today we live in a world of opposites: animal lovers and activists who strive to make equality for all living things and people who have anthropocentric mindsets which causes them to believe that animals are undeserving of rights. Should not there be rights for all living things? Well, at least this is what I believe, and I did not come to this conclusion on my own. The way I view animal rights is tremendously influenced by my exposure to media, my personal experiences, and the values of my generation.
Paul McCartney once said, “if slaughterhouses had glass walls, we would all be vegetarian.” There are many different forms of animal cruelty, ranging from labs, to farms, to even circuses. People have been using animals for a long time, they have controlled them for even longer. But despite that, there have still been some positive outcomes from this otherwise dark subject. Some people support the things that are happening to these animals. But others make it their mission to stand up for the animals that are mistreated everyday. Animal cruelty can mean many things to many different people, it can be a controversial topic, with many different sides and stories to it, it has a long history, much of it being good, much of it bad.
An issue that has been debated for a very long time has been animal cruelty. It exists in different forms, whether it be the fur of animals being used for high-end fashion products, different parts of animals being used for rare expensive cuisine, experimenting on animals for psychologic or medical testing or having them fight each other for entertainment. In order to address this issue, I have decided to make a series of advertisements showcasing some of these examples of animal cruelty in a more lighthearted manner. In order to balance the lightheartedness and seriousness, I think doing it live action with real actors would be more ideal than animations. Not only can viewers relate to other human beings, they can also feel more empathetic
If you aren’t concerned with innocent animals being euthanized because they aren’t getting adopted then stop reading here. Every year thousands of sheltered and animals are being euthanized due to the fact that people don’t want to adopt them. By finding bright spots in shelters such as similarities between animals that are adopted, and then find out how to spread those characteristics to other animals in the shelter. I’ll be researching potential ways to increase the animals’ happiness and then hopefully their personalities will change as well.
With nearly millions of animals dying each year from being captive, or endangered species being hunted down and killed, we need to discover a new way of displaying that our world is full of beautiful animals and wildlife. Wild animals are suffering both physically and mentally from the lack of freedom that confinement imposes. These harmful environments are preventing animals from having the opportunity to live in, and be exposed to their natural habitats. Keeping animals imprisoned in cages and small enclosures just for the sake of human observation causes stress and frustration, which is risking animals overall health and well being. These morally unacceptable and cruel actions of retaining wild animals in captivity is certainly wrong.
