College tuition is a subject that I am certain is on every college student's mind. The current cost of college has become so outrageously high and so students are graduating college with what you think is a feeling of excitement for their lives starting, when in reality they are entering a pool of stress due to high amounts of debt and no job guarantees. With that being said overly expensive College Tuition is merely taking away opportunities from potential students. According to Collegefactual.com, you will see that 20 years ago the average college tuition for a student at any University was around $6,285 for the room, board, and tuition. Today, according to Niche.com, the average tuition for almost any college is over $30,000 for those same things. Today, this isn't even offered for those same colleges, we don’t even know what is actually causing the raising tuition. At this point in time, we are paying for the name. Just like clothing, we pay more for the “high end” (a.k.a the college name) items. This is an issue that not only affects college students, but people who want a good education. College tuition should be lowered because the average student debt is too high, FAFSA results can be misleading and not high enough, and there is not enough access to college for deserving students.

Texas A&M University is a great school to attend. They have great places to relax and study along with amazing facilities. It is inevitable that sacrifices will have to be made when choosing schooling, but for some, only nonessential sacrifices; the quality and content of the academic program cannot and should not be sacrificed for a change in location. However, financial needs are also important to consider and may unfortunately be an overriding factor. Taking into account all of the criteria previously described, many believe that the best school of the two is Clemson University. Although not as fulfilling in the extracurricular aspects, it has an extremely extensive and reputable engineering program whose costs will not be excessive. In addition, its proximity to mountains is convenient, and the nearby coastline is appealing as well. However, in light of the extremely selective process that each applicant undergoes before being accepted, it is realistic to say that there is a fair chance that most students who apply may not be accepted. In this case, another great choice would be the University of South Carolina. Although not exactly on par with the engineering program at Clemson, it is relatively strong. In addition, the full cost will most likely be alleviated with state scholarships. To choose a college of your liking you must rank your priorities, compare your financial aid packages, focus on your endgame, and also revisit your short list. This university has had a 19.68% percentage of applicants who've been admitted and also has diversities of white(64.4%) and hispanics(21.8%). To live within the University a room can cost up to $20,000 , tuition can cost up to $28,000 , loans $208, and supplies $2,400 adding up to an amount of $50,700 in total. Texas A&M has a 8.4:1 student-teacher ratio meaning it wouldn’t be as populated as other colleges would be making it a great environment to focus.
