Last year as a 2nd bachelor degree seeking student, I volunteered to participate in a motor learning study about putting golf balls that aimed to replicate previous studies [my basis for my proposal] that revealed learners studying and practicing a motor skill with the expectation of having to teach the skill could experience enhanced motor learning compared to learners expecting to be tested on the skill. One idea for future research was to conduct a similar study with novice, student pilots who had never received flight instruction to attempt a replication of similar findings in the development of motor learning theory, specifically the development of theory regarding the acquisition phase of learning a new skill (Daou, Lohse, & Miller, 2016).
What key suggestion for future research did the authors address in their study?
The study addressed a shortcoming in the small body of literature indicating that expecting to teach may enhance the learning of declarative knowledge, such as academic information. Previous research had not investigated the effects of expecting to teach on motor learning [such as putting a golf ball], which relies heavily on procedural knowledge. In 1983, Raymond Carver introduced his short story “Cathedral” to the public. The first-person narrative takes place within the narrator’s home, where his wife is waiting upon the arrival of her blind friend Robert. The narrator, however, becomes more concerned about how Robert’s visit will affect him rather than enjoy the situation. Once Robert arrives, the narrator tries to understand the blind man, but he is unaware of what tasks Robert is capable of performing due to the narrator’s inability to “see”. Do you know how long it takes into you get your license ? At the age of sixty without driver education you have to wait 270 days to take the test and you have to have so many hours driving with a parent. It takes six months before you can take your driver license test . But ,if you have successfully completed an approved driver education program you can get it sooner . I don’t think that’s fair . Anderson needs to change the policy to make it easier to get a driver license .

According to Dr. Rita Smilkstein’s research into learning, the Natural Human Learning Process explains how the brain develops when someone learns. The first step is motivation to learn a new skill. People get motivated when something becomes a necessity or seems fun to them. Then the second step is the beginning practice. The beginning practice is when someone uses hands on experience and uses trial and error with the skill they are motivated to learn. The third step, she calls the advanced practice stage. In this stage the learner gains control through repetition and continuing practice learning the skill. The fourth step is skillfulness. The learner becomes more successful due to practice and gets positive reinforcement from their results. The fifth step is the refinement stage. This is when the skill becomes second nature and the person can learn new methods. The sixths and final step is mastery. This is when you can teach your skill you learned to someone else
If anyone has ever played a sport or been in a competition, they know how it feels when they are stuck on the sideline or on the bench while one knows they could be helping their team in the game. Nobody wants to be injured and have that kind of feeling any longer than they have to. Every player wants to get back to being healthy and on the hardwood or the pitch as fast as possible. Those feelings never go away, and there is not many careers that one can pursue to keep that feeling. If one is not talented enough to become a professional athlete, the opportunities are slim. One way to stay around the life an athlete has been accustom to for so many years of their life, is to go into the field of sports physical therapy. This helps a person be around the athletes and continue to benefit a team while still retaining a stable career to support a family. Although physical therapy requires determination and the will to see things through and to get things done, one who is planning a career in physical therapy will first need a good education and degree. Also, one needs selflessness, respect, and accountability. Finally, a physical therapist needs good leadership qualities to push patients in prevention and rehabilitation.
With NFL Players kneeling everywhere and soldiers feeling unappreciated, our country is in shock. It all started by a player named Colin Kaepernick, a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, in 2016. This event persuaded numerous NFL players to continue this process. One by one, players all over the league began to protest to call attention to the issues of "racial inequalities and police brutality". With mixed reviews of this protest, I believe that kneeling during the National Anthem of the United States of America is disrespectful because it is abrasive, selfish, and hurtful. Also, I am not sure that all of those protesting in this manner know the true meaning of our national anthem or the flag that represents our freedom.

Biomedical Engineering is the study and testing of chemical and genetic information. As the years blow by and the age of technology is increasing by the minute there come new responsibility and philosophies. Biomedical scientist has been in nonstop debate over rather or not genetic engineered testing on babies should be allowed to conducted. Humans have already genetically modified both food and plants and now move forward to their offspring. Biomedical scientists are responsible for the research and trails done in the genetic field. Many Biomedical engineering majors may agree that producing “Designer Babies” is the correct way to improve the world in this new age of technology, but I disagree. Today we will be choosing topics,” announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. “What is your topic Cindy?” As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. “Waffles are better than pancakes.” I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. “Hmm. Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
