Humanity as a whole is deceived by our governments that in an event of a humanitarian crisis we will take in the refugees and provide a safe and secure environment. At this very moment millions of refuges are fleeing their countries because of a fear of persecution due to religion, race, nationality, political views or membership to a social group. Internationally displaced people, whether they are fleeing their country because of natural disaster or generalized violence, are considered under the 1951 convention as refugees have the right under United Nations law to enter a country of choice seeking asylum. All countries that have signed the United Nations contract have to abide by this law, but in the extreme case countries are denying the basic right of living to a group of persons trying to enter their country. under the “Open centre arraignments” IDPS are only allowed to be inside certain points of the dentation centres and usually try to find ways to escape or kill themselves with wire on fences or even toilet cleaner. As an IDP in a dentation centre it is more preferable to kill yourself than stay under the harsh treatment Australia believes is “fair”. There have more than 150 cases reported in the Nauru detention centre of self-harm. People helping in these facilities do not have a creditable amount medical knowledge to be treating these people of injuries beyond their capability. The government is letting them die as a consequence of them trying to enter our country. By supporting the politicians that let all of this happen we the public are indirectly murdering an innocent person trying to leave their worn torn country seeking a better life when infect the receiving a worse
