Persuasive Speech

I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.

Persuasive speech outline purpose: To persuade my audience to donate blood through the American Red Cross. Introduction:

It was October 6, 1998 when he was lured from the bar that cold, fateful night. His skull was smashed with a pistol butt as he was lashed to a fence, left for dead in near freezing temperatures. Nearly eighteen hours later he was found by passersby and taken to a hospital where we remained in a coma for several days until slowly slipping away. Have you served in a war? Has your father or mother served in a war? How about your grandpa? As we honor those who have served we typically do so by standing for the pledge of allegiance or star spangled banner. We say thank you to our war heroes or we go and visit them and listen to their stories. In this paper I will be discussing why NFL players should not be allowed to kneel for the flag. Although the NFL players have the right to peacefully protest, they should find a different way than kneeling as it shows disrespect towards the flag also active duty military and veterans, it teaches young children this behavior is okay, what they are protesting has nothing to do with the flag and there are many different ways to get their message out.

Students at Palmyra Area High School should not be allowed to display information supporting the display of the Confederate Flag in the atrium. The flag is seen as a controversial symbol, and can allow disruption to happen throughout the school. Supporting the flag is seen as a something throughout heritage, however, the flag can also be seen as racist. Throughout school hours, the school has the privilege to monitor the student's free speech, attempting to make the school a place that all the students want to be.

I am writing in hopes that i might persuade you to look more in depth about the importance of Automotive technology. For example, using a leftover coffee can for loose nails or screws, or even washing and reusing a plastic zip-loc bag instead of throwing it in the garbage. Thrift shopping is a way of reusing someone else’s unwanted goods. As I spoke about in an earlier speech about thrifting, I included many locations and ways to thrift, also the benefits to the shopper and the donator. One place in particular was shopping at the local boys and girls club. I personally shop there, keeping my eyes open for a good deal. For example, the pair of jeans that I am wearing today was purchased from this store just a few months ago. I paid only $8.00 for this pair of Lucky Jeans and according to buckle.com, a retailer for lucky jeans the retail price is $99.00 that is a savings to me of $91.00.I am not the type to worry about name brands, but quality usually does cost more. If I can get a quality pair of jeans at a fraction on the price, I am glad to shop at the thrift store. I am thankful to the person that made the donation of the lucky jeans and they can benefit from that donation. According to the IRS webpage, IRS. In the United States of America, the Constitution has granted all its citizens the rights of speech, assembly, and suffrage. The entire nation was founded with the purpose of providing for a country in which principles of equality and liberty would be executed on a daily basis. However, what happens when there is an abandonment and obstruction of these basic rights? According to Biography.com, the Civil Rights Movement led the 54-mile Selma to Montgomery march in order to achieve African American suffrage. In Alabama, however, a group of white people confronted the protest, leading to a violent outcome in which the life of one individual was lost and countless others were injured. In his encouraging address We Shall Overcome, Lyndon Baines Johnson pleads the Congress to pass the civil rights bill in order to provide each and every American citizen with the same opportunity; in this specific case, African American citizens with the right to vote. In his 1965 speech, Lyndon Baines Johnson crafts a compelling argument by appealing to the audience’s pathos and ethos through the use of diction, highlighting the message communicated through the addition and elimination of conjunctions, and emphasizing the relevance of the circumstance through anaphoras.

I noticed this years ago when I was little, I noticed kids at school treating the dark girl in the corner differently and talking about her behind her back. I noticed my parents holding my hand a little tighter when a black man would walk by. The protestors are marching down the street in support of their loved one, not for attention of skin color. There are three types of people involved in the act, the peaceful, the violent, and the judgmental. I support the protesting. I support the friends and family members for trying to make a difference for the loved one they lost. I encourage them to speak out in a peaceful way. I encourage them, because that’s what I would do.

One thing in life I have learned is you have to let go. If you’re incapable of letting go you will never be a happy person. It’s a fact. There will be things in life you regret, there will be people you're mad at or hate, there will be things said to you that you’ll never be able to let slip from memory. Letting go is the only way you’ll ever find peace, because until you do you’ll never be able to be truly happy. Holding on to these feelings only makes you angrier, sadder, and more upset.
