Pet Adoption
Many people have different thoughts on adoption. Such as why adoption is a good thing not only for the animal but also the owner, if each dog deserves a second chance, and if there should be kill shelters.
Adoption is good for both the animal and the owner, by adopting an animal is gives them a new home that they deserve. Adoption gives the owner a sense of what the animal has gone through, which sometimes helps understand the way the animal may act and can help find ways to train them. Adoption gives the animal a new start and a family that will love them no matter what. It can also help a family come together in hard times and help each other get through it.
I believe that every animal deservers a second chance. It’s not
Why pay hundreds on buying a dog, then spending a little to adopt one? Thousands of dogs die from puppy mills die each year, while they suffer through the harsh environment that puppy mills give. At the same time, others are waiting to become a new member of the family by adoption. Three main reasons why you should adopt dogs are, you can give them a second chance, stop puppy mills, and you can start the dog out healthy.
When a couple cannot conceive children naturally, they may look to adoption to start a family. In the past, adoption was shrouded in mystery. Closed adoptions were the norm, and many children grew up not knowing they were adopted. Recently though, open adoptions have gained popularity. Adoptive families and birth families maintain contact in any way that they feel comfortable. I feel open adoption is a better choice than closed adoption because children may have the opportunity to meet their birth parents, the transition is easier for the birth family, and the benefits outweigh possible complications.
Living in a family with a dog, I can tell we’re not adopting him just because of interest. I love my dog. We adopted him when I was a kid and treat him as one of our family members. I believe he helps me be the person who can express my love to my parents better and live healthier.
From the time I was a young girl, I have always thought that I would adopt a child, since being an adopted from South Korea. My mother had always told me about the long process it took for me to be adopted. She had always mentioned that adopting a child was for the best, especially from a different country because it would benefit children who are living
Every dog is a responsibility, and it takes a kind hearted person to go through the process of adoption. Through shelters it’s about an hour process to adopt. They ask for your current pets (if there is any) vet, the phone number of the vet, every one who lives in the house phone number, so they can call and see if they are okay with having a new furry friend in the house. They give scenarios that could possibly happen with a new puppy in the house for example, what do you do if the puppy is digging in the yard? Or what do you do if the mailman comes to the door and the dog starts barking? The process is long but it is worth it. The shelters even off puppy training classes that’ll teach them household manners, which includes potty training, leash training so that they will be able to go on walks without having to wear a harness. You get so much out of adoption that you don’t get from pet stores that will not offer. With my new adoption I was offered classes for him. Puppy classes, intermediate, therapy dogs, than k9 classes.
Some people believe that the price of adoption should not be lowered. They believe that with all the costs it helps keep the bad people from getting ahold of the children. The authorities need to make sure people will be good parents and would not be abusive or not able to provide for the child (WIASE?). This shows that the authorities are taking extra precaution with who they allow adopt a child. Also, the cost goes towards many court fees to make sure that child becomes fully and legally your child and it gives you a peace of mind (WIASE?). This shows that when you pay all that money you are paying so many different places, so that you know in the end that child is fully your child.
Many people buy the pets they want, but there are rarely any human beings that actually adopt. Let me ask you a simple question. Do you usually buy your pets from a breeder, or do you actually go out and search for the one to adopt? Many of you will say buy from a breeder, but that’s okay. Let me just list my facts and you think them over. Maybe I can get your opinion to change.
There are many things to consider before adopting. First, bringing a dog into your life is a commitment of often, many years. Especially if you adopt a puppy. Adopting a puppy, you should be willing to commit 10-15 years on average, and be willing to take care of that dog through sickness and through health. Making sure all family members in the household are on board for this is also very important. Considering the ages of your family members is important as well. Having young kids in the home, you may want to think twice about adopting a very young puppy or a very small breed that is under 15 pounds. Young children do not understand how to act around dogs, especially ones on the smaller size and accidents can happen. The new dog must fit the physical capabilities of everyone in the household as well or at least the main
The issue with adoption is the financial challenges with orphanages, foster homes and parents who want to adopt but cannot. Many changes need to be made when it comes to the adoption system. Adoption is a social justice issue because so much money is going to orphanages and foster parents when it could be used for other things, such as helping people who want to adopt but cannot. The cost of adopting should be lowered to have more adoptions and fewer people to pay. Adoption regulations should be changed considering the long process and money it takes to adopt and the process doesn’t always let people become parents.
So, if at this point you don’t know why you should adopt a pet, here are some reasons that will change your mind. First, as I mentioned before you will save a life. Second, it is cheaper because you just need to
When a couple or individual decides to adopt a child, they know they are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of someone else’s child. Due to the biological parent(s) who can’t take care of that child anymore, because of either drug abuse, alcohol abuse, abuse to the child or if the parent(s) had died and there is no other care for the child. So that’s why this gives other couples who cannot have kids, the opportunity to promise themselves to be a great parent to a child in need. Though there are some bad things about adoption as well. Like adopting a child from another country of another race, because once that child is adopted into an American family, he or she will be cut off from their culture and never know about their
