Phi-Mu Foundation Scholarship

National Honor Society is more than a club I am apart of, it has given me the motivation to strive to keep my grades at a certain level, keep up with community service, treat others with respect, and also conduct myself in a mature manner. The National Honor Society Scholarship would help fund my schooling at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida.

I am honored to submit my candidacy for consideration as one of the two recipients of the Phi Theta kappa Gold Scholarship. I believe that my excellent academic record and active involvement in Phi Theta kappa both locally and regionally makes me a good candidate for the scholarship.

My name is Edith Anaya I recently won the AMAE Scholarship. I wanted to thank this scholarship for the resources it will give me for the future. I am enrolled as a full time student at California State University; Northridge. I enrolled in four classes earning third-teen units for the fall semester. A West Chester foundation scholarship is beneficial to me in many ways. A West Chester scholarship will not only help me with my financial needs but also push me to work harder because I will be 1 of many to receive a scholarship and not everyone will be able to experience this. I will have to work much harder, to pay off in work/studies what was given to me by a person(s) who cared enough about my education, as much as I do. A scholarship will mean a lot to me, because having a scholarship opens up many doors for you. For example, you could put on a resume that you have received a great amount of money due to a college scholarship and that could possibly impress what could be your future employer. That would be a wonderful addition to a resume

I feel that I should be granted this scholarship for multiple reasons. All of which lead back to my success as a person. I enjoy learning, I take pride in what I have, I don’t take anything for granted, and I always try my best. Receiving this scholarship would be the equivalent to a driven student who is determined to see results and succeed.

A $3,000 dollar scholarship, or any scholarship for that matter, would open me to a plethora of opportunities, taking away the financial burdens that would typically discourage me. A $3,000 scholarship would help me be one step closer to my goal, and dream I have had since I was in kindergarten-- to be a Senator. My dream of becoming a Senator, while ambitious, does not come without determination, regardless of my financial situation or any other socially constructed boundaries. $3,000 today would mean that I could save now, while I continous on my quest of lifelong knowledge at a higher education institution. Receiving this scholarship will be helpful in achieving my educational goals. It will boost my self-confidence in working hard to maintain good grades and completing a very important task. This scholarship will help me take responsibility in creating a foundation to get me closer to my career goals. Receiving this scholarship will push me further towards my Master of Social Work degree, as well as my dreams of having a successful career as Licensed Master Social Worker. I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship to help fulfill my dream.

I believe I should receive this scholarship because I am dedicated to becoming a Great River employee someday. The Great River Hospital and Clinic is a place where I feel comfortable spending my time and giving my complete attention to. Many people help patients everyday at the hospital and when I finish school I want to do just that. Helping people is a passion that I have and I feel as though it is a purpose of mine. Receiving this scholarship would help me tremendously throughout the school year and get me closer to achieving my goal.

I wish to take a moment to thank you for granting me the PECO Scholars Scholarship. I appreciate being part of the 5 million dollars you donate annually to help the community. I live at home with two hard working parents who spend most of their money ensuring that I receive a proper home life and a good education. This scholarship has allowed my parents to not have to worry about my books and school supply expenses for this coming school year. I am grateful that your scholarship has eased a portion of my family's financial concern.

I am interested in the Summer Scholars program for a few reasons. It would give me the chance to meet new people, be a proud Hurricane, and allow me to continue my pursuit of a career in medicine. These factors are important to me, and encourage the possibility of a worthwhile experience.

As an economics major, I spent a majority of my undergraduate career examining production functions, which are equations that estimate a level of output based on certain variables such as capital, labor, and technology. During my studies, I began to realize that education was a variable that almost always positively altered the level of output for any given person, business, or environment. The importance of education cannot be understated, therefore, I have the greatest appreciation for those who continue to invest in students like myself.

The importance of a good education was instilled in me from an early age. When I did not have the means to further my education I took it upon myself to find a solution. Giving up on my goals of higher learning was not an option. So, I made the decision to enlist in the United States Air Force. While serving active duty, I refused to let my ambitions falter. I enrolled at the local college and began taking online classes in conjunction with my challenging work schedule. The four years I spent in the military makes me an excellent candidate for a scholarship because during that time, I was able to focus on exactly where I want to go with my education and how to achieve it. Scholarship Prompt: The College Scholarship Contest would like to offer the opportunity for a twenty-five-hundred-dollar college scholarship. To apply, one must submit an essay between 500 and 1000 words while showing potential for future success in any field related to law and demonstrating an understanding in the issue raised.

As a student with parents whom have low income a $3,000 scholarship would be very helpful. This would definitely help relieve the pressure of loans and things to pay for, for school, on my parents, my two older sisters and I. The way this money would got to paying for class books and units. The reason it would relieve the pressure on the five of us is because I know they would help me with money as I try to go through college. Specially as my two older sisters have dropped out of college do to lack of money, they push me to not get discouraged by it and to keep getting educated. As I don’t want to end up in the same position as them I definitely push myself to keep going as well. For this reason a $3,000 scholarship would make a big difference

I am eligible for this scholarship because I am a full-time student, I am working towards a communication degree, I have a 4.0 GPA, and I am in financial need. I want to have a stable and rewarding career and a communication degree will help me fulfill this goal.
