I am Sophia Sadek. I’m thirteen years old and I’ve been playing soccer since i was five years old. I’ve always loved soccer. It was a way for me to clear my mind. But, there’s some things you need to know to play soccer.
Physical Ability- Soccer requires a lot of physical ability. In soccer, you have to constantly be moving. Especially if you play the midfield position. I have played the midfield position all my life and it involves so much running because you have to help the forwards and defense. It also requires strength. For the defense and mid-field positions require a hard, big kick. You must also be able to dribble the ball while running. Soccer is a very physical sport.
Intelligence- Soccer also requires a lot of thinking. All the positions
In soccer I have to run a lot and I have to be able to run and be able to keep up with everyone even some of the best players on the other team. I have to be strong to be able to keep up and play a good game. All in all, I became really fit and healthy in soccer that’s why its good to play.
We are now living in a world where video games have become a major aspect of some people's lives. It has impacted many in a negative way and positive way. Most of these games provide us with a theme or lessons we can take away from playing. I’m not a big gamer, but being a soccer player, I have fallen in love with FIFA. I’ve always finished my homework quickly or decided not to do it at all, so I could play FIFA. I was never able to imagine a video game could have such an impact in my character and life. FIFA has done just that and has overall helped my time-management, as well as my patience.
Not much is known about the origin of soccer. However, the Greeks and Romans played football and ball kicking games. The London Football Association developed the first sets of rules in 1863. British sailors and settlers brought the game to India, South America and Europe.

Soccer involves long hours of training. Most people would think it’s running down the field and kicking the soccer ball into the goal, but it’s a lot more than that. Soccer is played a nonstop eighty minutes. To be a good soccer player
From the minute I started kicking in my mother’s stomach my father made it his mission to teach me soccer. Three year old me would be kicking soccer balls like my life depended on it. Later in life at age 8 I started playing on teams. We went from being the worst in the league to champions twice in a row. Being champions can really get in someone’s head, and suddenly you think your skills are superior to those of people around you.
Walking out on the field clothed in full confidence, I have no doubt in my mind that our team will perform to our fullest potential. As a team captain, fear is something that I keep locked away in my mind; however, I still get butterflies before every game. Before each game, I inhale two puffs, stretch every muscle, and sing to myself to remain placid. When praying for strength, courage, and protection, it is like the Holy Ghost enters my players and kindles inside of them. Their focus shifts from what could go wrong to what will go right and what they will do to help the team. When I walk on the field, my heart begins to feel like it is about to beat out of my chest, and I feel like someone is trying to take over my kingdom. On the field I am home, I have purpose, and I have a sense of belonging. While I may feel like I am suffocating, I still continue to pump my
At first glance, anybody else may just see a shirt, but to me, it is a representation of who I am. My item is a soccer jersey and is the best portrayal of who I am, because I have played soccer since I was three years old. Between the many coaches I have had, and the large number of friends I have made playing this sport, it has shaped me into the person I am today. By meeting all of these people and playing soccer for as long as I can remember it has molded me into an observant, committed, and dependable person, that my teammates can always rely on at any time. One of the characteristics soccer has taught me is to be observant.
I have always loved soccer, ever since I was small and had just started it, along with kindergarten. Now I was venturing into a new level of soccer: elementary school soccer. For the past year, I had been watching professional soccer, making sure to learn from every important detail that had made those larger than life players so extraordinary, so talented, and so perfect. I wrote down facts, statistics, and formations that seemed to bring them success. I practiced soccer often. For a while, I would practice for an hour or more at home after school, and when it got too cold to go outside, I would go in my garage to juggle and shoot the ball, then up to two hours at a time. I was so excited for the elementary school soccer program and I thought
“Go Spartans Go!” screamed the crowd as we took the field. I felt nervous, with sweat dripping from my face and my hands feeling moist. The moment I took my position, I felt destined to be the best player on the field and thought to myself, “I can do it.” It was my first start for my career as a varsity soccer player for Brookfield East. I wanted to make every opportunity count. I could smell the scent of the freshly cut grass and the aroma of the concession stand. The referee blew his whistle and we were off to the races. The first 45 minutes went by in a heartbeat and I was exhausted. 5 minutes after halftime, the unthinkable happened. As I was sprinting for the ball, my knee gave out and twisted beneath me. I fell in an instant and I felt
Since I was five years old I have been a goalie for my soccer team whether it be the local rec team or the high school varsity team. I have always loved the game but I have also enjoyed playing multiple other sports such as basketball, ski team, softball, and eventing. With juggling all these activities as well as doing well in school I never really got all year round training many other goalies get. So when I was a freshman there was an upperclassmen goalie who was the varsity goalie and it was expected that when I was a junior I would take over where she left off. However, a bunch of changes started to happen that year. We got a new coach which meant we all had to prove to him that we deserved our spots the team. There was also a new freshman
At the time, I was just a basic soccer player. Until the day I became a winner, to them I

Soccer is my favorite sport. It coordinates the whole body in addition to your legs. A goalkeeper would be at a disadvantage, one against ten, but he is allowed to use his hands. Soccer is also a well renowned sport that is popular across racial, socioeconomic and age related divides.
