Introduction

Worldwide, we need to know also learn how physical activity has the potential to prevent health risks from young children. One of these health risks is obesity, which affects Middle Childhood children from the ages of 6 - 11years of age. Therefore, how has society prevented childhood obesity and what strategies can be implemented to develop and promote awareness of physical activity amongst children? If young children are to be educated and advised about the important benefits of physical activity and healthy lifestyle, including the involvement of family, health, school environments and media and take into consideration what children are taught, then a large percentage of overweight children will decrease in numbers.

(The Role of Schools in Preventing Childhood Obesity - CDC ... (n.d.). Being obese are a problem, a comprehensive health promotion (World Health Organization (2000)., this clearly states children who are obese are more likely to be overweight. (Poglitsch.M, (2008).
Over the development of primary childhood, youngsters typically take slow but steady gains in height and weight, their bodies grow larger without altering the basic structures as a result, “…proportions of a separate body parts change less than in infancy or early childhood.” (McDevitt & Ormrod, 2010). Physical activities are required to keep children involved and physically active. Some activities do not necessarily have to be outside to keep children physically active. There are also activities indoors that children could do with the folks which includes; dancing, exercising while watching Tv and cleaning the house. These are just a few tools that parents can do with children at home. If children have no right activities during this time of promotion weight, this could lead to obesity, because as children’s power surge steadily every day, and no physical activity is present, then children will lose interest in physical activity.
It is a must that more of physical activities should be done at schools as it will help both students and teachers when it comes to children's learning however, - some schools are already supporting these programs, though some schools are not aware of this issue. Choosing
