Sipping on iced-cold sweet tea, I watch multiple waiters gather up and begin line dancing to loud country music that plays in the background. By the time im almost halfway through with my beverage and almost full due to the warm, freshly baked rolls, a smiling waitress brings my family our food. She kindly places down our meal, tells us to enjoy and leaves to let us chow down. Resting on the plate in front of me is a thick, juicy piece of rib eye steak thats paired with loaded mashed potatoes and freshly cooked vegetables. Texas Roadhouse has come to be one of my favorite restaurantst to dine at. They provide excellent food complimented by great service and the unique atmosphere of the restaurant is full of energy and always has some type of entertainment going on.

My favorite sit-down restaurant is Texas Roadhouse. I don’t eat out much with my family except once a year for our anniversary when we go to Texas Roadhouse. Once we are seated it usually takes about a couple minutes for our waitress to introduce herself and take our drink order. They will usually give us a couple minutes to look over the menu and decide what we would like to order. Luckily I usually receive a coupon in the mail for a free appetizer and we usually will order one such as the cactus onion. Once we order the appetizer arrives first with our drinks or a little after. For our meal it usually takes about fifteen to twenty minutes to receive. A few months back i was driving on I 81 with my mom, and at the time i only had my learners. So i was driving in the right lane and right next to me was a tractor trailer, so we approach the sign that says the weight station is open. So knowing the tractor trailer is beside me needing to get over i speed up to try and past him. Well as i increase speed, so does the tractor trailer. So we are now about 15 feet away from the weigh station, and me and the tractor trailer are still side by side increasing speed. So basically it's just a game of chicken. We are now approaching the on ramp , and the tractor trailer turns on its blinkers to come over to the right lane ,but slight problem, were still side by side. So i start slamming on the brake

Whether we like it or not, driving is part of our everyday life. There are many types of drivers currently on the road; slow snails, weavers, and speedsters, but the type of driver to strive to be, is the defensive driver. I strive to be a defensive driver. Not only for my safety, but for the others driving around me. What can be done to prevent distracted driving? Well, I’m glad to tell you, it's much easier than it seems.
