Plagiarism is not just limited to taking information from resources without citations. According to Theresa Ireton, an assistant professor of writing in Centralia College, Washington, there are also subcategories of plagiarism in writing, such as plagiarism of structure, authorship, and plagiarism of self [4]. It is considered a plagiarism of structure when an imitator is paraphrasing by having different word choices than the original content. Plagiarism of authorship constitutes buying and turning in duplicate copy of another person’s work without any modifications whatsoever. Plagiarism of self is when an individual tries to utilize previously completed work as a resubmission for a different assignment. This class has been vital in providing me with a new perspective on different types of alternative medicine and practices. Although there were some lectures which came across to me as a bit hard to believe, such as Scott Roos’s Ayurveda lecture, in the end all of these different methods of healing and self-betterment gave me a new understanding of the importance of alternative types of medicine. For the most part, my knowledge of medicine was backed mainly by the western medicine I was exposed to growing up,

What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is when you copy something that is not yours and put it into your writing piece. An example of plagiarizing would be if you went into a website then copied and pasted there info word for word and used it as your own. Some other ways are when you put somebodies quotes into your writing and you don't give them credit for the information. Another way that you could be plagiarizing is when someone takes paragraphs/sentences from an article and puts them into there writing and switches a few words around and then claims it as there own. The final way that you could plagiarizer would be if you had a text book or website and you put info into your writing in your own words and then you did not site them.
