In the picture you see a dead corpse on the ground. The guy on the ground has probably been murdered by a murder. Next to the dead body a woman is screaming out loud because she realizes the man is dead. Furthermore are the other people a bit confused. The woman looks very desperate due to the fact the man isn't alive anymore, it might be an acquaintance, and now she doesn't know how she needs to get on with her life. It's a bit weird that no one, in my opinion, is calling 911. Maybe they have already been called, but you can't spot at the moment the picture has been taken any police officers,
The theme of land is evident in the poems, This Land is Mine by Kev Carmody, Paul Kelly and Gail Kay wrote My Sitting Down Place. The poems I chose represent the relationship between Aboriginals and their land. This connection had an effect on how I presented my collage. Both poems advised that the importance of the land to the Aboriginal people is because of what the land provides and does for the Aboriginals. In my poster I have used the earthy colours Red, yellow, black and green to show the significant connection between Aboriginals and their land. I have used the Aboriginal Flag for This Land is Mine because the flag represents how passionate the person saying the poem. For My Sitting Down Place I have used real leaves to represent the
The poem’s form is used to communicate the speaker's emotions in Arnold Adoff poem, “Alone in The Nets”. For example, the poet uses several question marks throughout most of the poem. This conveys that the speaker is unsure of herself since she is constantly questioning why is she at the game, and what she is going to do. Another technique that was used were the ways the stanzas were used. The stanzas were scattered the same way the goalies thoughts were.
In today's modern world, the use of poetry to communicate and express oneself has become quite rare. One of the main reasons is due to the fact that with such an old style of writing, it is very often hard to understand properly. poetry is indeed difficult to read and hard to understand, but given time, it is a rewarding challenge. Poetry is not only written verse but is used in songs as well. Taken the time to listen to the words of modern songs, you will realise that the lyrics of the song are actually a poem linking modern day music to poetry.
After finding out that the Clutters have been murdered, the community is shocked and horrified. They cannot sleep at night because of the fear that the
Police in Franklin County, North Carolina found a grisly scene when they arrived at a home they received a 911 call from. The call came in from a house that had a mother, an 18-year-old boy, and two children in it.
911- That is on the 105th floor of the northwest corner correct? Melissa Harper – Yes! I-I can 't see anymore! 911- You can 't see? Melissa Harper – N-no I cant! 911- Alright, you will be ok. Melissa Harper – Miss, there is one more person in the office and... we... are really not ready to die! Please, please just send someone! 911- I know, I am trying my best to get all apparatuses there. I am letting them know where you are, please stay on the line. The poor girl whimpers in fear as she feels the building shake. Melissa Harper – Please hurry! She starts to cry heavily, the other person there watching the
In the poem, “Migrant Woman on a Melbourne Tram,” Jennifer Strauss provides an insight into the life of a foreign woman who struggles to conform to the new society which envelops her. Through the use of a variety of language techniques, Strauss highlights the difficulties and challenges faced by her subject, as she attempts to integrate into Melbourne society. Strauss’ reference to the woman’s attire being “impossibly black,” in the opening line of the poem highlights her distinct feature as a foreigner, which ultimately causes her to stand out amongst the crowd. This statement which is further juxtaposed with the sexualised nature of the “impudence of summer thighs, long arms and painted toenails,” puts emphasis on the two contrasting cultures
So there were 9 subject involve. Based on the source we have Fran was hit on skull resulting in a fracture skull. The hospital state at least one was severe. I’m assuming there is more than one hit to the skull. One question I got for the policeman is did the rock hitting the helmet cause any damage to the helmet? The lawyer was with Fran so he/she could be bias and jump right into a conclusion. How far apart was the lawyer and Fran? The TV news camera was damage how did they filmed several police using their batons heavily? Was it a reporter giving the information? If it was a reporter where was he/she position? R33 leader deny that she was hit by something thrown. The R33 leader could be bias. R33 member (M) could be set up to say that he/she thrown a rock. The Dutch tourist (D) saw police using their batons strongly to separate people. I would ask the Dutch tourist where was he/she standing? This questions could result in why she doesn’t see anything being thrown. Did (D) see if the police group where hitting people or just blocking
The tones go off, there is a scramble for shirts, ties, and boots. Dispatch announces a motor vehicle accident five blocks away. EMTs and Paramedics climb into ambulances. Police are reporting multiple personal injuries. There is a rush of adrenaline through all those involved. The street comes alive with flashing red and white lights and screaming sirens. Ambulances tear down the street to the accident scene. They arrive to find four cars involved in a high-speed collision. There are seven people involved in this particular accident. Additional trucks are requested and the original scene repeats itself as three more teams join the first two at the scene.
The movie begins with a shot of a cemetery of unmarked crosses. From the beginning, the audience is clued in that this isn’t going to be a simple film. Herzog does an outstanding job dragging out the transitions between scenes, whether it be the sun setting on a highway, or fields of corn shaking gently in the breeze, to create a bleak ambiance that carries out throughout the film. It gives time for the audience to analyze the new information they’ve been given to add onto their own judgements. When the audience first gets to view the original crime scene where the bodies of two young men were discarded, only the sound of insects and other nightlife can be heard, creating an unsettling effect that only adds to the gruesome
Everyone remembers his or her first crush. Making the grand leap during adolescence from a child to a teenager brings about many unusual feelings and thoughts. It is usually around this time when most boys and girls begin to develop strong emotions directed toward the opposite sex, which can lead to some odd behavior. In Melanie McCabe’s poem “Paperboy,” the speaker uses imagery to make a coming of age poem much more vivid as she describes how a local paperboy made her feel as a young girl during this important transition in life.
It was a Friday March 13, 1964, 28-year-old Catherine Genovese had arrived home when she was attacked with a blade by a man named Winston Moseley. She yelled for someone, anyone to come and help her. People didn 't move an inch to help. People didn 't want to 'get involved ' was what they said, they didn 't call the police. The attacker saw apartments illuminate nearby. He knew people were watching the crime he had started. He ran off and left her dragging herself to her doorstep slowly dying; later her attacker decided to go back and finish the death he had started because, as he confessed later in court: "It didn 't seem like anyone was going to stop me!" Although weak and almost dead, she again yelped for help. Of 38 witnesses there was not one person who helped in any way shape or form. By the time the authorities were eventually notified of the situation, she was no longer alive. Why did nobody help her? Were they
Night is filled with so many wonderful things, wouldn’t you say? Darkness slinking into the sky, emergent with madness and power—I always liked to think that Night was a character with assorted natures. Her beauty of an aurora, the grace of shaded streaks, peppered stars, then monsters and malevolent creatures, demons under your bed, waiting patiently for an arm or a leg to drop over the edge so they may drag you down to the depths of hell, masked figures of men gaping at your sleeping body with a leer, unseen white noises that seem to mock you, and so many more enchanting gears. Alone, your eyes are bolted and you’re clutching your bedsheets in hopes that the demons find you too unappealing to eat, but with friends? Spitting in their faces you laugh, and stride away hand in hand, not realizing you’re playing the demon.
The old couple is reposing on the couch with a blanket that is painted light blue covering their legs. The photographer uses non-obvious line to direct our eyes from this photo. The implied lines is the eyesight from this old man to the camera lens. He wears glasses, gently smiling and looking directly into the camera; his right hand holds his wife’s body. I feel like that I saw the hopeful and joyful in his eyes. He is wearing grey shirt. The old woman is in plaid shirt, and she seems having a deep nap and leans to the left on the man’s shoulder slightly. That probably because of her sickness, because her face looks kind of pale and unhealthy. In addition, it is likely to be a serious illness because people would rather go out and enjoy the sunshine instead of stay inside since it looks like a sunny day. The old man holding her tightly as well, it seems as if she may wake up and run away
I wish I had a penis. I wish I was his jail mate. I wish we shared a cell. I wish every time Dylan looked at the roof of his cell he'd see it, dangling in front of him. I'd just piss on his nazi scum face. Dylan Roof, the troubled lone wolf, but he’s only described that way because of the color of his skin. If he was a brown or black boy he’d be called a terrorist and all the brown and black folk will have to apologize for what he did.
