We are sharing this beautiful planet with other species and like us they have a right to live peacefully as well. We should not forget that climate change causes the ice to melt in the artic and it is proven that humans are the cause of climate change, so to put it frankly we are the cause of the polar bears going into extinction. Its time humans as another species living on this planet with the ability to put a stop or to help with climate change take a stand and do something about this.
Polar bears are part of the eco-system and humans depend on the ecosystem as it brings about the balance of nature. However polar bears are not dependent on humans. Polar bears have been around for years and without the help of humans have continued to thrive
It is often noted that one can never truly understand the beauty of life until they go and experience it. This idea parallels with getting to know who they really are and figuring out what their purpose in life genuinely is, which not many people cannot comprehend. Everyone has different fears, desires, and feelings, but not until you live a life of new experiences do you harness your true self. Growing through experiences and connecting with nature allows someone to more deeply reflect on their individual purpose on Earth and discover their own definition of happiness. Henry David Thoreau comments on this even further by proposing that the disconnection from a society in which we are comfortable is the only way to cultivate an understanding of ourselves. Chris McCandless sets out on an adventure in a life absent of routine to push his boundaries and prove that he could make it on his own, finding the meaning of life in the process. Henry David Thoreau’s statement “Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves”, is correct, as evidenced by Jon Krakauer’s novel Into the Wild.
Into the Wild is a novel about Chris McCandless who left everything, and everyone he knew after college and essentially disappeared into the wild. A commonly asked question at the end of Into The wild is why did Chris McCandless do this, why did he abandon his college education and everyone he knew. Many have tried to figure out just this question but with the help of the memoir Walden, a book that heavily inspired McCandless, it is easy to see why McCandless left his conventional life. These reasons are that He wanted to be more like nature, to go with the flow and not let every little thing throw him off, Chris took this to the extreme and literally joined nature to get a better understand of it. He also wanted to live a simpler life, Chris again took this to the extreme by leaving everything that was extra or unneeded in his life. The final reason is that he wanted to see what reality and real life must offer, he didn’t want to see and live with the reality that other people imposed on things.

Understanding oneself is one of the most important factors in living a free life, and living on the road can be a big part of this process. In the novel, Into The Wild, Jon Krakauer writes about a boy who ventures into the wilderness and inevitably learns more about himself on a journey right before he dies. In order to avoid his problematic family, Chris McCandless journeys into danger where he meets people who help him learn more about the world. Although he does eventually meet his end in Alaska, he leaves the world without worries or regrets. By living on the road and in nature, Mccandless is able to live the life that he wants and be free from the clutches of society. While living on the road can prove fatal, it allows a person to find themselves and avoid the problems of society; therefore, people should look to nature in order to better understand themselves.
For someone to be on the road, people usually assume that they have lost hope in life, or that they were not that determine to maintain a place in our social class. Those who decided to live on the road do it for a different reason, reason that are either a push or pull factor. Someone who has helicopter parents, or having a difficult time trying to fit into society can find a reason to venture out and find self. Someone who felt like they no longer have a purpose in life, can find it by going on the road, because no one know you better than yourself. When writing a story of your life, do not let anyone else hold the pen. Just like the north star, which helped slaves find their way from slavery and captivity. In order to find true self, risk must be taken. While life on the road can seem like an act of avoidance of reality and problems, it can help someone find a purpose for life and their true self, therefore I believe that life on the road, is helpfully for those who are struggling with problems.
[Attention getter] Do any of you know the name an animal that is on the endangered species list?
Baby harp seals are disappearing in population because of the climate change going on near their habitat. These pups are constantly drowning and being crushed by melting ice every day. If this keeps occurring, they will quickly stop breeding and eventually become extinct. Although they are not endangered, baby harp seals are passing by the minute. If you think this is unacceptable and want them to be saved: choose energy efficient appliances when making new purchases, replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb, use a clothesline instead of a dryer when possible, cover your pots when cooking, and speak up to the public about how others can do these things too!
I have picked two videos that I felt have persuasive techniques in two places. Saving polar bears and the coca cola soda, I have chosen the polar bears. The polar bears “Sledding” and Shooting stars. The content of these two ads gives a message is that polar bears create a character of innocent, fun, and shows reflections of the best attributes that is close to us humans. It's saying that bears are filled with fun and can be mischievous at times. Also, it shows these bears are the ones being extinct. The persuasive techniques being used is the promoting of Christmas and the selling product of the coca-cola brand. Coca-Cola has been around for decades, so showing how their product is worth giving on holidays and that it brings everyone together even bears. The emotional and logic appeals of these commercial are its shows the audience a nice ice cold coke that polar bears are holding but also giving as a peace offering. Which in some case also pressures the audience to buy and think of how adorable the bears are especially the baby bears. This also builds on the emotional side of animal lovers, using the cute bears with soda is very influenced by an aspect of the commercial. Cola using bears in a family context to target the holidays, so in this case, it provides credibility, emotion to its appealing audiences. When I watch these two commercials I tell you that I do go out on the holidays and I get the five to ten at stop and shop Coca-Cola cases. I buy it because of the drink and also because of the image it has on the box of the cute polar bears, also the idea of it being a Christmas a time which family come together and give.
The deeper I dig into animal abuse , the more I want to become a vegetarian. But it is not easy as it seems. The things that I have seen and read makes me sick to my stomach. To watch a hopeless cow, get whipped , is sickening. Watching baby Chicklets die in a big machine , brings tears to my eyes. Millions of animals every day die cruel deaths , and I no longer want to be an accomplice to the crimes. While it may be hard to retrain myself , I should and intend to just stop eating meat.
What if I told you there was a way to save so many lives by just keeping one animal off of the roads? There is a serious problem that a lot of people are facing especially late at night. There have been as horrible incidents as to where people have lost their lives. Or in less serious but still devastating incidents peoples cars become completely totaled. You never know you might just be on a late night drive heading down main street to pick your kid up from soccer practice when all of a sudden a deer jumps out from nowhere in front of your car and completely destroys it. That is just talking about damage to the car too. Hitting a deer can also put your life at risk and can cause fatal injuries.
Raccoons can cause thousands of dollars in damage to a home or business if they decide to take up residence. They can tear off shingles and chimney caps to gain access, once inside they will, destroy insulation, eat food stored in cupboards, rip up the furniture, urinate and defecate everywhere. They have been known to break into poultry barns and pens, killing chickens and stealing eggs, as well as causing immense damage to the structure. Removing raccoons should be left to the professionals like us. We love and take pride in what we do. With over 20 years experience and hundreds of wildlife removals. We can remove the raccoons, repair the damage, clean and disinfect any areas where they have been and wildlife proof to prevent them from moving
The polar bear, the largest land carnivore in North America, one of the largest animals in the world and a favorite at zoos worldwide, has, over the years, adapted to its harsh Arctic environment. The appropriately named ‘ursus maritimum’ or sea bear usually lives between 15 and 18 years in the wild and spends most of its life on ice. It is the most recent of the eight bear species. The first polar bear was a brown bear subspecies, with brown bear dimensions and brown bear teeth. The polar bear evolution was rapid due to the small population and extreme pressure to survive. Even today, the polar bear continues to evolve to better adapt to the harsh realities of Arctic life.
Imagine it’s 30 years in the future, you and your little grandchildren are going to the zoo to see the new and improved Wooly Mammoth. Except it’s not improved, it’s not even a purebred Wooly Mammoth, and its stuck in a cage. Scientist are trying to decide if they should resurrect the Wooly Mammoth, by breeding its embryo with an Asian Elephant. The Wooly Mammoth shouldn't be resurrected because, there is no habitat for them, costs, and is it even logically possible.
Exotic animals should be banned from being purchased, hunted, and or traded from their natural habitat. People can look at an exotic animal for a couple minutes, but captivity affects their whole life. Exotic animals caged in non-natural habitats can experience many physical, and mental issues.
The places we visit throughout our lives can sometimes leave a bigger imprint on us than anything else. The novel, Into The Wild, by Jon Krakauer, displays a man, named Chris McCandless, who selfishly goes into the Alaskan Interior alone. The places he visits and the way he connects with the people and places around him before and during the journey help exemplify who he is.
