John R. Bolton, from Fox News, has a negative outlook on how President Barack Obama reacted during the stairs incident. Because Obama is near the end of his term, the Chinese see the President as a weak leader. The diplomat explains how the Chinese's actions are a calculated insult since they did not have the correct set of stairs. He blames the Secret Service for not providing an alternative set of stairs for the President and for not allowing the President to disembark until the appropriate stairs were presented to him. Although the stair incident not only to humiliate Obama, it was to send a signal across Asia that by treating a United States President in a rude fashion it is seen as acceptable.
Joe Scarborough,
There have been many different themes with many different topics for National History Day. The theme for this year’s National History Day is Leadership and Legacy in History. My topic is Jimmy Carter and the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
Less than one year into his four-year term, President Trump has broken several precedents regarding the relationship between the White House and the bureaucracy. Perhaps foremost on the scale of importance has been his public statements which seemingly contradict the diplomatic actions of his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. For example, while Sec. Tillerson was utilizing diplomatic options regarding the North Korean nuclear program, Pres. Trump tweeted, “I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man… save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!”
One of the security challenges facing the United States (US) is the US and North Korea relations. The US policy toward North Korea is diplomatic yet firm. North Korea is our longest standing adversary. Policy toward North Korea is one of the most enduring foreign policy challenges. In this essay I will discuss the security challenge of U.S. and North Korea, the theory of international relation, realism, how it illuminates this challenge and how the instruments of

Since the 1950’s North Korea has posed as dangerous threat to The United States and its allies. When Chinese President Xi visited Washington, President Obama brought up the human rights issue during a conference. The human rights abuse is becoming extremely exposed and other countries are starting to put pressure on China’s government to stop their harsh methods. According to the article,"Rubio:Xi Jinping 'devastating' for China Human Rights", by James Griffiths, “Human rights have taken something of a back foot in recent years when it comes to Sino-U.S. relations. President Barack Obama has been criticised by Republicans for not doing enough to pressure Beijing on the issue”(Griffiths.) Not only has the abuse been going on for decades but the violations of human rights are extremely harsh and serious. The abuses range from expensive fines to extrajudicial killings.
The General did not excel or apply himself in school. As a teen, he was sent home from summer camp for leaving the camp are and having a beer. He was sent home for the stunt, but was later found out from one of the Priest, that he had owned up to the mistake. Growing up as a republican and being raised by republicans, my family still to this day talks about how Reagan changed America. Many agree that we have a more efficient and prosperous economy as a result of Reagan 's economic policies, foreign policy triumphs including a peaceful yet long end to the Cold War, and a restoration of American pride and morale. Proponents also preach that Reagan restored faith in the American Dream with his unabated and passionate love for the United States. It is because of this, that in my opinion, Ronald Reagan has been the most successful President in American History.
Being the President it is a part of his responsibility to issue statements and apologize for any situations that have to do with the U.S. The apology showcases that he cared about the incident, and that he wanted to make peace.
The first African American to be the U.S. Secretary of State was Colin Powell. Powell was born on April 5, 1937 in New York. The high school that Colin Powell went to was Morris High School in New York. Colin studied geology and that’s when he found his passion. He was in the Reserved Officers Training Corps, later he became a commander of a unit. This is what led him to his experience on a military career and gave him direction of his life. After Colin’s graduation in 1958, he became a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was wounded by a punji- stick booby trap while patrolling the Vietnam border in Laos. Also during a tour he was injured in a helicopter crash. Even though of his injuries he still managed to rescue his comrades from a burning
It seems that there are three main points in this section, including Gerald Ford becoming president and trying to turn things around, how Jimmy Carter went right behind him and tried to do the same thing, and the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979-1980.Gerald Ford only became the president after Nixon resigned. During his time of presidency, he made inflation sky high, the price of gas and oil higher than ever and interest rates climbed. Until reading this passage I didn’t know that Ford had pardoned the former president so that he was able to not be charged with any crime associated with the Watergate scandal. He wasn’t a good fit for president so in the election of 1976 a Democrat from Georgia named Jimmy Carter was elected. He did nothing but
I have decided to write my research paper on the topic of Ronald Reagan's Domestic and Foreign Affairs. The reason that I choose this topic was because I have always been personally interested in Ronald Reagan's time in office and the national crisis he had to deal with. Reagan was awesome when it came to foreign policy because he knew how to negotiate with foreign leaders and their countries to get what he wanted. There were several instances during his time in office that he had the chance to use his ability to get the country out of danger. Domestic Affairs is another part of Reagan's presidency that was very important. He was able to take the country, which seemed to be in an economic slump and turn their economic status around.

North Korea appears on the international stage as a country existing beyond the world we all know. It isolates its citizens from the rest of international community and does not obey any rules determined by international law, but requires respect and recognition. Moreover, North Korea is one of the countries that remains aggressive towards its neighbors and applies various terrorist techniques, i.e. illegal contraband, political terror and mass abductions of other countries’ citizens in its foreign policy. The reasons for which the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) behaves so unpredictably and irrationally are diversified. First of all, the DPRK as a country is managed very irrationally – regimes of Kim Il-sung and
