Post-Secondary Degree In High School: Course Analysis

The Post-Secondary unit was probably the most helpful unit out of all my high school career. Even though I already had a basic plan for my future, I learned a lot of new, valuable information throughout this unit. I realized how different college is from high school because of the amount of time we spend in class and on homework. I’m excited for the shorter class times and the extended times for myself to study because I tend to learn more that way. Since I decided that I want to go into Pharmacy at STLCOP, I researched the admission requirements. I want to get over with it and turn everything in on time. I already have a resume and essays complete, therefore, all I have to do during the summer is polish them up and hopefully add onto my resume. I have to start this process earlier especially if I plan on applying early decision to STLCOP. I also expect to be done taking the ACT by the time I start applying to colleges because I know I won’t be as motivated to sit through a long test through my senior year. I have to get at least a 23 on the ACT to apply to STLCOP, and I could probably score higher than that, If I actually study. If I don’t get accepted into STLCOP, my backup plan is to simply apply to another university and then transfer to STLCOP once I earn my bachelor’s degree. I had a couple of options for the universities I could apply to, but I wasn't quite sure which one would be the best fit for me. I made up my mind when we had to compare colleges as one of the assignments. Comparing the universities side by side was helpful in crossing out the options that were not favorable. I realized Webster would be the best choice for me if STLCOP didn’t work out, because of the small size and reasonable
