We should not be greedy, but are simply interested in ------our legitmate interests as far as possible.
Overall we all benefit longterm from an healthy environment. Especially fishing, often an important source of food for coastal areas, so do you guys want to live with your families in such environements and eat fish. We are here to talk about money and business, but we should also think about our future and children, the costs might be much higher than short term
3. Much attention is being paid today to improving the environment, yet many people feel the job is overwhelming or not that important. Do you feel we should focus on improving our environment?
Putting a higher value on nature is a step towards the creation of a green economy. Jobs are created on better terms locally and the people can work together, with a better cleaner water supply.
To what extent of the government’s efforts will help alleviate these concerns? Will people change their perspective towards environment around them? And will people actually start taking action to make change instead of being compliant? It’s hard to tell what will change in the near future but at least awareness is being raised for this issue. Berry argues that if we continue to be economically dependent on land and valuable natural resources, we will eventually deplete it all in the end. He proposes several solutions that could potentially improve this situation. Although not everyone will agree with his proposed suggestions, many will definitely agree with what he has said about the environment’s current
It is because of the forethought of others that I am able to experience Hawaii’s natural magnificence. I want my children – and their children, for generations to come – to be able to say the same. It is for this reason that I believe we must utilize a twofold sustainable ideal in which we protect the environment while also growing economic prosperity. We must strike a balance between revering nature and supporting human quality of life.
Instead of focusing on the individual, “ecological economics invites us to picture ourselves not as isolated individuals but as housemates” (McFague 132). This model has two goals striving for sustainability and distributive justice which will allow for the earth’s resources to be sustained for future generations. McFague feels that the ecological economic system will provide an efficient system that will suit and support the needs of the world.
Having a strong economic environment can benefit from cleaning up the streams and reduction of air emissions. Haisla community will not support any use which endangers the integrity and sustainability of our territory. The community of the Haisla people wants to use their economic development to bring a positive change. Haisla nation believes to become a strong and independent nation that proves their success will benefit their
Justice: We advocate for a society where all can realize their full potential and achieve the common good.
Because of the knowledge and dedication of our elected legislatures, scientists, and environmentalists many different courses of action have been developed. Which one is the right one, we may never know. All that we should know, is that there is a plan to preserve and protect our coastal waters and its inhabitants, as well as bring our economy back with tourism
As a nation, we have to look at what the future would be for our children, their children and the generations ahead. We can start with participating in recycle programs, investing in clean energy and ways to reduce destruction of our forests." Without Americans constant need to consume, the environment would have plenty of time to replenish the resources it provide us." "NIEHS Environmental Coloring Book." National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, an official government website for Kids. 02 Apr. 2009 .
You should “act in such a way as to maximize the expected satisfaction of interests in the world, equally considered.”
If our priority, as a human race, is to survive, thrive, and procreate, then we must be sure to take care of ourselves and the planet that we live on. We first need to help heal Earth and change our frivolous ways of overindulging and not realizing the consequences of our actions before we even consider moving to a different planet. If we don't fix this issue now, we are just going to slowly destroy yet another planet. A sustainable way of living is the solution to help slow the effects of global climate
To answer this question it would be better primarily to look upon at the human nature. If we assume that people are egoistic and they only pay attention to their own utility, then we can affirm
Is it fair that our future generations suffer the consequences of our ignorant behavior? Must we choose wealth over future generations? This is a global dilemma that should be carefully put into perspective. Human keeps on pulling natural resources and stores are filled with unwanted lines of products. Sadly, most people tend to concentrate on fast results/short term. Preserving the environment is the only answer to save our future generations from the impact of global warming (AtKisson).
Environmental issues have been a cause of a lot of debate in the recent past. Governments and nongovernmental organizations have been in constant consultations on how to help protect the environment. Apparently, as a result of man’s many actions, the natural environment is getting torn apart so quickly that the coming generations will not enjoy this kind of environment, unless a
