AAG has assembled a multi-disciplinary team uniquely qualified to accomplish this UAS design and subsequent implementation. Our team is experienced in software and hardware development, aircraft instrumentation, and simulation and flight research as well as aircraft control law design, nonlinear aircraft dynamics, stability and control, UAS path-planning and decision-making, and UAS Detect and Avoid, and three team members are both engineers and pilots. The Principal Investigator (PI) for the team is Sally Johnson, with over 30 years of experience in planning and leading related research and development. Jesse Couch, Co-Investigator (Co-I), led a student team to design and build a UAS and participated in the North Carolina State University …show more content…

All other software will be Class D software.
3. Limited software prototyping and simulation needed for concept exploration for wrapper complex mode logic. The wrapper prototype code will not be enduring, but will be used to demonstrate effective integration of some complex mode logic, and we intend to document the resulting mode logic design in an AIAA Conference Paper. If there is follow-on funding to build the UAS testbed, we will start over with new software to implement the mode logic design.
(a) Safety Critical Functions: None
(b) Software classification: Class E, because the code is not enduring. Although we will publish the results of the mode logic simulation in a conference paper, any quantification will not depend on software correctness, as results can be checked independent of the code.
The Software Management Plan addresses all three design efforts. The following software life-cycle products will be produced during the design
A: In the software lifecycle there are 4 phases that are derived from the old System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and they are as follow; Planning, Implementation, Maintenance, and the Removal process. The planning phase is defined by all planning activities including the analysis of the software to be installed, verification of its compatibility, supported methods of installations, and the identification of any risks associated with the software and the desired deployment method. The Implementation phase is used to prepare for deployment such as; creating a shared access location for files and creating or using the appropriate package files. After all these steps have been

Since the first flight of Orville and Wilbur Wright’s aircraft at Kitty Hawk, the development of new aircraft types and technology in these and existing aircraft has moved along at a quick and steady pace. Moreover, since 1903, aircraft limits continually have been pushed and surpassed. Aircraft now fly higher, faster, farther and carry more cargo or passengers than ever before. Nevertheless, it would only seem logical the next step in aviation evolution is removal of the human factor in flight. Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) have
Currently the majority of the UAVs operated by the United States are military assets, and as such are subject to policies, requirements and regulations of the military. These safety requirements will be briefly discussed. As unmanned systems are integrated into national airspace they will be operated in increasing numbers by civil operators, for this reason we will also look at civil safety requirements. UAS will also present some unique situations which have up to this point not been experienced; this will require new areas to be incorporated into the aviation industrial safety arena to ensure our current level of safety is not degraded through their inclusion. This paper will investigate aviation industrial safety as it applies specifically to
“Case management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual’s and family’s comprehensive health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes” (CMSA. p.6, 2010). Case management plans are an integral part that help to develop and contribute to the care and services that will be needed to provide services to the client to achieve optimal health outcomes (CMSA, 2010).
Army Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) continue to face significant challenges synchronizing air and ground operations through the execution of a Unit Airspace Plan (UAP). A well-developed UAP increases combat effectiveness by promoting the safe, efficient, and flexible use of airspace with minimum restraint upon airspace users. This paper does not propose a plan to solve all the challenges BCTs face. The intent is to share lessons learned from 2/25 IBCT’s Air Defense Air Management/ Brigade Aviation Element (ADAM/BAE) cell during our recent Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) rotation. Focus is placed on the development and implementation of the UAP. The major challenges discussed are clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of those involved with UAP development, the integration of both small and tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and how to best manage a synchronized UAP.
This is the first two levels of the WBS surrounding the Safebrace project. The project is first split into six different categories on a physical logic track.

In this case, the final product which is a ……. software must be available on 15/1/2016, at least, it has been mentioned that the final product will have been made by integrated three types of software products which are Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta. Therefore, Time is a key element in this project.
Each step is addressed completely before moving onto the next step, and once in a given step of the process, there is usually no going backwards. This method favors a disciplined approach to development,

Through the equipment co-simulation transform, the VHDL coding of the framework is proficient. The created VHDL codes are transported in into the ISE apparatus to make further framework check at the RTL level. Outline blend is performed with Xilinx 's XST and the entryway level netlist is gotten. After that, place and steering are performed. The steering deferrals are back commented to the entryway level netlist for timing examination and configuration advancement. At long last, a bitstream is created to program the objective FPGA board.

The program logic is written in embedded c program by using Kiel micro vision environment. The program written is then converted in the hex code after simulation and burned onto the microcontroller using FLASH micro vision.
