Taking the time to consider your needs is the first step before making a purchase, in other words identifying the product. Determining what you are looking for in an offering will ensure you are fulfilled afterward. Analyzing all your options, then further narrowing it down is necessary in this processed. Researching different brands, models, and features available for that offering to narrow it down to the best fit.

Furthermore, many industries, such as cellphones, have a new model released annually, therefore, you will need to decide whether to take the deal on an older model or wait and pay full price for the new model. Lastly, don’t forget to take the time to consider other aspects that can change the price, such as negotiation, tax, and interest on financing, make sure to account for those expenses in your budget.
After Completing the purchase
Now that your purchase has been made, providing the proper maintenance is important. Although, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase for several reasons (a product defect, or the product does not arrive as expected), you have some options you can consider. Some retailers provide a warranty with their products, they will either fix the problem or sent you a new item. Some of them will even return the product if you enjoy it. If this option is available, take it into consideration while making your purchase.
Unfortunately, there are also sellers that will not assist in correcting the problem, with them you can seek action through other means: The Better Business Bureau, and similar organizations, or the court system. Governments usually have laws in place to protect consumers from being taken advantage of by retailers, therefore, you can report an incident if you feel is unjust, and they will assist you. For instances neither of these actions work, you can file a claim and utilize the judicial system to act. This
Research suggests that customers go through a five-stage decision-making process when making any purchase. This is summarised in the diagram below:
The product that I recently purchased, and was satisfied with, was a Kent bicycle I bought for my son. According to the book The Economist: Marketing, this particular product is considered “consumer goods”. It was quite a purchasing process, and in the following paragraphs I will share with you the steps I took to complete this purchase.
Best Buy is a retail store with over 600 stores nationwide and over a thousand around the world. It is the major retailer store for electronics around the world and leads top ranked followed by Circuit City, Wal-Mart and Costco. The consumer electronics industry is growing steadily over the past few years. 2008’s projected revenue is expected to increase by 6.1%. This isn’t higher than 2007 but it is higher compared to other industries which are failing. Some items that are expected to see an increase are TV displays, gaming platforms, and next generation DVD players such as Blu-Ray and HD DVD (which Blu-Ray has won out over).
Spokane Industries has contracted Franklin Electronics for an 18 month product development contract. Franklin Electronics is new to using project management methodologies and have not been exposed to earned value management methodologies. Even though Franklin and Spokane have worked together in the past, they have mainly used fixed price contracts with little to no stipulations. For this project Spokane Industries is requiring Franklin Electronics to use formalized project management methodologies, earned value cost schedules, and schedules for reports and meetings. Since Franklin Electronics had had no experience with earned value management, the cost accounting group was trained in the methodology in order to bid for the
Because the evaluation process is a critical factor in determining the systems, the process should include various components. Some of the ways that I would evaluate the individual RFPs would be to analyze the product by conducting a due diligence plan (Plan, 2011). The components involved in this process consist of looking at demonstrations, conducting site visits, and doing check references (Oachs & Watters, 2016) (Plan, 2011). By looking at demonstrations, (whether they’d be vendor fairs or individual presentations) it gives the potential users the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the system and thus makes the users feel part of the whole process (Plan, 2011). Additionally, demonstrations allow for easy side to side system comparison which also eases the evaluation process. By doing so, it can help the vendor have a clearer understanding of what the facility’s specific requirements are (Amatayakul, 2013). Furthermore, conducting site visits, allows the project team to get real feedback about how the staff feels with new system and allows the potential buyer to see the system in action (Oachs & Watters, 2016). Furthermore, I would use reference checks to check the credibility of the vendor (StratisHealth, Analysis, RFP, 2009). By doing so, it would allow me to have a better visual as to seeing if the items listed on the RFP are things that can actually be accomplished accurately and efficiently (Amatayakul, 2013). That said, in order to evaluate the system, other

There are many external and internal factors that influence consumer decision making. The consumer decision-making process is described as a “six stage model of the decision-making process that includes problem recognition, internal search, external search, alternative evaluation, purchase, and post-purchase evaluation” (Berkowitz, 2006, p 393). The uses of technology and information resources to research issues in health care marketing have been and continue to be beneficial. The most important purpose of marketing is to have items or
Manufacturers create multiple product lines to sell to multiple price sensitive groups (Simchi-Levi, Kaminsky & Simchi-Levi, 2008, p. 397). Toyota and all other automotive manufacturers use product versioning to separate and capture both the high-end and low-end customers. Toyota uses product versioning in multiple ways; it is used by creating different styles of vehicles as well as different classes of those vehicles. Toyota creates multiple sizes of sedans, SUV’s and Trucks. Within sedans there is the Prius, Corolla, Camry and Avalon. In the SUV category, they produce the Rav4, Highlander, 4Runner, and Sequoia. The Tacoma and Tundra are produced within their truck category. These different vehicles come in different packages that provide different options that segment customers into their buying desires, based on price conscience or those wanting higher end finishing’s. As an example, if two customers both purchase a Camry from the same dealership, one customer may want an entry level package with just enough options to have a vehicle to drive. The other customer may want every option available on the Camry. Both customers purchased a Toyota Camry, yet the actual vehicles they received have major differences and very different prices. By having multiple options of the same vehicle, Toyota is able to capture multiple groups of customers.
