Should Rainforest Destruction Be Prohibited? Earth is beautiful. But it is being destroyed at a very fast pace by destruction of rainforests. Should this be prohibited? Rainforests are the lungs of the planets (by regulating carbon-dioxide), they also provide us with ¼ of the medicines we use today and they are home to millions of animals and birds. So, they altogether help the Earth and animals living on it. If deforestation keeps going on at this pace, then all the forests would disappear in 100 years (according to NASA). Rainforests are the lungs of the planet. This means that they turn carbon-dioxide that we produce into reusable oxygen that we need. If deforestation keeps continuing then the number of trees would decrease. Slowly, there would be less and less oxygen that is crucial for humans to live. We release carbon dioxide that kills us and we kill rainforests that could save us. The rainforests also provide us with 25% of the medicines we have today. We have only yet discovered 1% of all plants and found so many medicine. Think what would happen if we explored all the plants? We would probably have medicines to all the diseases that exist. Again, we are destroying what can really save us.

Because of this it is identified as a main threat to 85% of all species described in the IUCN's Red List (those species officially classified as "Threatened" or "Endangered"). The world's forests, swamps, plains, lakes, and other habitats continue to disappear as they are harvested for human consumption and cleared to make way for agriculture, housing, roads, pipelines and the other hallmarks of industrial development. 80% of the animals live in the rainforests and if deforestation keeps going on then then might even get
Deforestation will continue for a long time, due to financial gain and people needing more space for agriculture or clearing out forest due to urbanisation and similar developments. Agriculture is the main cause, as farmers need large spaces for planting crops and keeping animals; however they can do a lot damage to forests at the same time. Forests are obviously abundant in vegetation; however tropical rainforests are often on soil which contains low levels of nutrients in thin layers. The bulk of rock beneath is prone to erosion from the rain and high temperatures of the tropics. Substantial amounts of nutrients which are vital for animal communities are contained
Deforestation is necessary for our survival. For instance, according to "Document 2", a secondary source from National Geography Society, "Forests are cut down for many reasons, but most of them are related to money or to people's need to provide for their families". This shows that people need to clear forests in order to make money and we rely on trees for things like paper and pencils, so without deforestation we would most likely die. Therefore, deforestation are necessary for our survival. Deforestation also creates jobs. For instance, in "Document 4", a primary source from Global deforestation according to the U.N., the annual tropical deforestation in square miles rose from approximately 30,000 in 1990-2000 to approximately 40,000 in 2000-2005. Even though this means more trees are cut down, this also means more jobs for people because forests are being cleared. According to the article "Deforestation", an article from the site ic.galegroup.com, "Forests are also cleared to make way for new infrastructure, including roadways, homes, and commercial properties such as shopping malls. This in turn creates more jobs." Forests are cut down for buildings and roads, and who's going to build these roads and buildings? Workers, that's who. Despite all of this, deforestation is still terrible because the losses outweigh the
Deforestation has been a major concern in tropical rainforests, this is an act of destructing a forest for multiple reasons including wood supply, agriculture purposes or the extraction of minerals and energy. Forest loss till date is 18.03 million acres per year and it has been estimated that within 100 years all rainforests will be destroyed.
Forests control the amounts of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere therefore contributing to global warming. However we as a planet have a problem… deforestation.
Did you know that in 1990 there were only 2,500 Hyacinth Macaws left living in the will. In our paper we will discuss how humans affect the rainforest, endangered hyacinth macaws, and how we can prevent humans from destroying rainforests.
Three to six billion trees are cut down each and every year! Deforestation is a huge problem in the rainforests. Because these forests are home to much of the Earth’s species of life. Covering 30 percent of our land forests provide homes, protection, and oxygen for humans and other wildlife in the forests. There are 7.125 billion people that count on the benefits provided by the forest, which is: food, clothing, traditional medicine and shelter. If something isn 't done soon to reduce our carbon footprint, we will not have forests of any type to soak up the carbon dioxide(CO2) in the atmosphere.
If we cut the Amazon Forest, we are cutting our life expectancy. I say this because these days global warming is a big deal in this generation. Lately everyone is talking about how to stop the ice caps from melting and stop the sea levels from rising. There are three big reasons why we should consider not cutting the amazon. The truth is water levels are rising around the world, Carbon Dioxide levels are on the rise. Many people have said that the cure to cancer could be a natural occurring plant.
Imagine all the beautiful creatures happily living their days in the forest , resting in the sun and just enjoying their time on Earth. Well ... these peacful animals just got a very rude awakening because someone decide to deforest their area. Deforestation is the process of converting forest lands into non-forested areas. It is estimated that between 50-100 species are lost each day as a reasult of forestry . Deforestation should be stopped , there is no reason to destroy our forest . It is a heartless and selfish thing to do , it needs to be put to a stop for good .
First, It reduces the variety of fruit for the average person. At least 80% of the developed world's diet originated in the tropical rainforest. Its bountiful gifts to the world include fruits like avocados, coconuts, figs, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, bananas, guavas, pineapples, mangos and tomatoes; vegetables including corn, potatoes, rice, winter squash and yams; spices like black pepper, cayenne, chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, sugar cane, tumeric, coffee and vanilla and nuts including Brazil nuts and cashews. The rainforest also provides medical benefits. Since the rainforest plants are rich in secondary metabolites, particularly alkaloids. Biochemists believe alkaloids protect plants from disease and insect attacks. Many alkaloids from higher plants have proven to be of medicinal value and benefit. With the loss of rainforest, 25% of medical ingrediants would vanish. Deforestation can A drought is an extended period of dry weather caused by a lack of rain or snow. As temperatures rise due to global climate change, more moisture evaporates from land and water, leaving less water behind. Some places are getting more rain or snow to make up for it, but other places are getting
Rainforests are being destroyed at a rate of 150 acres a minute. If this fact doesn’t astonish you then understand that that means a total of 78 Million acres a year. While this is in itself a horrible act it is also causing many species to go extinct thanks to loss of habitat. The main culprits of this are large corporations such as McDonald’s and Burger King. The greed of large corporations leads them to mistreat earth’s largest and most inhabited forests, leaving many species struggling for survival.
Many rainforests are at risk of going extinct. The beautiful rainforests are going extinct because many people and companies are cutting down trees in the rainforests. This can also put the world in danger the world and its temperature. Many people are trying to get people to stop cutting down the trees.
Rainforests have been declining rapidly over the last few decades. There are various factors responsible for this decline, resulting in serious impacts on the environment and the economy. Critically discuss the causes of deforestation and solutions to it.
We humans are the main cause of rainforest destruction or deforestation. Humans are cutting down rainforests for many reasons, including:
The Human Impact on Rainforests Human Impact on Rainforest is it a necessity? Rainforest are the beautiful gift of Mother Nature. It consists of the most magnificent species and plants in the world. 4.2% of the world’s animals live in the rainforest. This statistic it self shows how bad it would be to destroy such essential part of the worlds biodiversity.
Deforestation is a problem that does not concern many people, but it is an issue that the people of Earth need to deal with. In the past 50 years deforestation has increased a significant amount, but people around the world have been removing the forests since the 1600s. The forests remaining are in danger as the human population goes up, the need for resources will also increase and this will make the deforestation of the last forests come quicker before humans realize it is too late. Unless the people address this threat to the world, it will be too late because this is something that can be fixed, the forests can be rebuilt but it has to start right now before there is nothing people can do. There are many causes for deforestation such as, clearing space for urbanization, making areas available for houses, or harvesting the lumber for goods and other consumer items and all of these have an effect on the world. The consequences of deforestation can affect all aspects of life on Earth, including the water cycle, the soil, and the life quality of species around the world.
