People and the way they behave has always fascinated me, however, as I have grown older and more aware of psychology I have begun to question why people are the way they are, and why they do the things they do, myself included. The mind is an amazing instrument and it is my wish to explore and learn more about it. As a person with dyslexia, it has made me want to understand the way the mind works and the potential it has. While some people may consider dyslexia a hindrance, I believe it has made me yearn for more understanding and more knowledge. What draws me to study Psychology is the mental processing, and how it affects a person's current and future disposition and the decisions they make.

From a young age, I have been eager to take part in different sports activities. I have been especially interested in basketball, and even more so, tennis. I was even interested up to a competitive level. However today I focus more on my musical attributes, and I sing a lot. I preform at concerts and take part in school plays. As mentioned earlier, I would take full advantage of these activities if they presented themselves at university.

There are many qualities required to pursue a career as a Psychologist, which I believe I will develop and progress throughout my time at university. Awareness over others and myself is a trait that I regard as important. In addition to being a deep and radical thinker, I am also open-minded to the concept of new ideas and theories. Learning about human behaviour, thought and emotion will help me understand myself, and others further.

I hope to contribute to the world of Psychology, from my time studying at university. There is still much to learn about human behaviour and its connection to the brain. I sincerely hope my pursuits in being a well-rounded individual has allowed me enough qualification to attend your university, and hope to further broaden my perspective by attending such a high standing university in an entirely new country.
