I am sending you this letter to notify you that I have resigned my position as the HAB/PVP Chairman due to personal reasons. My last day of work is today, in the completion of my last visitation with Behavioral Health. I regret any inconvenience that my resignation may cause the team. I have left a PVP program continuity book at the ARC Office and I know SGT Brown also has a copy. Friday, it was brought to my attention by Mr. John Savoie that several team members had filed a grievance concerning scheduling and program administration. He effectively at that time told me how poorly I was managing the program; Yari the former Station Chair was unaware of any such problem/s either for I asked her if she had received any complaints. I was informed
K.B. runs this small department. She received approval to hire another medical ethicist to relieve the workload of the other ethicists who have a five-day workweek plus rotating on-call shifts nights and weekends. K.B. interviewed R.G. for the job. During the interview, she explained to R.G. that the on-call rotation was 5 pm to 8 am, Monday through Thursday, and weekends Friday at 5 pm through Monday at 8 am. K.B. emphasized how crucial it was for each ethicist to commit to their call schedule. K.B. acknowledged that she understood. After a successful interview, K.B. offered R.G. the job, and R.G. accepted. One week before she was to begin working, R.G. sent an email to K.B. requesting religious accommodation:
Throughout the 2016 year you have readily accepted a variety of assignments in addition to your case load including: hotline assignments from other teams, response to legislative inquiries, class I rotation, priority 1 calls, courtesy face to face visits, completing a DA3a or DA3c when needed, and wellness checks for the REV Team. Aaron, you continue to accept the challenge of having new employees shadow you in the field and in the office. You also consistently respond to emails and phone calls from collateral contacts or department personnel in a timely manner. Aaron, this year you had the opportunity to take 3 weeks of vacation. You made sure your caseload was well under your control prior to departure and also met with your supervisor to review anything that might arise or require immediate assistance in your absence. Aaron, you have responded to several hotlines this year where you were met with frustration and anger from family members or friends in the RAs home. You have consistently remained calm and appropriately deescalated the situations in order to reach resolution and/or to obtain facts. Aaron, you also regularly keep the supervisor, ARMs, and RM apprised of significant issues surrounding your caseload. This year you have voiced your concerns up the chain of command regarding policy versus the health and welfare of our seniors and adults with
On June 5, 2016 I was forced to work an overtime event when Joyce and Vicki Hoak with less seniority purposely took a vacation day the Friday before the event. Once again on Nov. 15 ,2016 I was mandated to work overtime 7:00 am. to 3:30 pm even though Cliff Worthy, Vicki Hoak have less seniority and with Joyce being excluded from all Saturday overtime due to her schedule work day. However, when Danny Kelly and Harry Feals worked Joyce’s routine they were mandated to work Saturday overtime. In both incidents I filed an oral grievance with Scott union steward and talked to Joe director of Maintenance.

People have been debating on if e-cigs should be regulated or not. Only 18 years old or older could by them if they were regulated but some people don’t want them to be regulated. They argue that it helps teens and adults quit smoking yet 16 million children can legally buy e-cigs. A toddler actually accidently drank liquid nicotine and died because it was poisonous and legal to the public. Not putting a regulation on e-cigs could lead to more young children being poisoned or they could even possibly die.
