In high school as well as college, in addition to being a student-athlete, I worked part-time at Express Oil Change—working my way from a small manual position to a corporate position as a vital medium between employees and the owners. I now work as an Operational Support Coordinator which involves recruiting mechanics and technicians for retail shops, marketing, and human resources. Communication with others is a key aspect of my job. I feel my experience in sociology gives me a strong understanding of human behavior, but I am seeking to expand my knowledge in the integral fields of business such as finance and accounting. I am majoring in graphic design for my associate’s degree. Currently after this semester, I need twenty more credits until I complete my associate’s degree. Once I receive my associates degree, I am looking to transfer to a four year university to major in visual design to become a fashion stylist; during that time, I am hoping to be a part of an internship, studying abroad to learn more skills. My love for the business aspect of healthcare has contributed to me wanting to make a difference in other people's lives, and help improve the lives of many people. Hi! I am Sophia Sanchez, am 19 years old, full-time student, started my second year of college and an aspiring business major. I had a first tough year of college and that resulted in me failing two classes. Despite the challenges I faced I plan to excel in the courses I have enrolled in this semester. As a college student, I was unware of the steps I’ve taken that could hinder or improve the growths of my management skills. The new insights gained from these assignments conducted have enlightened my understanding of myself by overseeing my management skills ability through I’ve made that place me in varieties of scenarios. The assignments have not only enlightened me, but it has provided me the advantage of being well-informed of my strengths and weaknesses. Business administration is an extremely versatile degree to major in. The possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to possible career paths after graduation. Every business needs some form of management to operate successfully and efficiently. That is where a business administration graduate becomes useful. A person with a business administration degree typically works in the upper levels of management in order to make sure the business is running at full capacity. Positions filled by business administration graduates include, but are not limited to: chief information officers (CIOs), chief operating officers (COOs), chief sustainability officers (CSOs), and chief financial officers (CFOs). All of these possible jobs have one thing in common: chief. The chief is the person at the top who sees the big picture and delegates tasks that make that big picture come into focus. Among all of the possible careers accessible with a business administration degree, chief financial officer (from here on, known as CFO) appears to be a solid, long lasting, and satisfying choice.
