Before I graduated from high school, I devised a five year plan for myself. First, I would attend SUNY Albany to obtain a degree in business. Then, I would attend a cosmetology school, acquire the 1,000 hours needed to take my state board exams, take those exams to finally secure my cosmetology license. All of this would eventually lead to opening my own salon in the future. About a month before my graduation, an ambulance bolted my mom to the hospital.

It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or training, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.

Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatment. Branches of specialty includes hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, manicures/pedicures. And a Fine Artists are artists that include painters, sculptors, and illustrators. In fine arts I would be doing painting/ body painting. For schooling I would love to go to University of Arizona or Eastern Arizona Collage. I have wanted to go to U of Arizona since I was 10. Eastern Arizona Collage offers the cosmetology class I need and University of Arizona has the Fine arts class I need. A lot of people have an interest in arts or something of the field. I've been doing (cutting and coloring) my own hair and doing my own makeup for 4 years. I have done other peoples hair and makeup before and gotten nothing but positive feed back. School will cost money so, I am going to be applying for scholarships.
Hair, makeup, and fashion have been an interest of mine since I was in grade school. I always knew that, when I grew up, I was going to pursue a career in one of those fields. Before making a serious decision about becoming a cosmetologist, I needed to find more information about the industry. So, the first step I took was to research what the industry offers. I looked into different job opportunities, income, flexibility, schools and enrollment process, job security, what it takes to become a great cosmetologist, the pros and cons of the industry, etc.
Starting off with my academic choices I decided to fool around in high school. But when I graduated on time I got scared that I would mess up again and not do anything in life so I chose the first career that I thought I would be good at. This career was Cosmetology. I soon realized that I did not agree with their teaching methods and I couldn’t see myself in that career in the future. In deciding this I was now without schooling and stuck in the blank space of not learning anything, the blank space I was so scared of and tried so hard to avoid. As a child I had the dream of becoming a lawyer, I would defend people and fight for justice. Yet as I got older I realized that if I were to become a lawyer I would get very attached to the issues
When I turned 38-years-old I wanted to make a change in my life. I was tired of working jobs that had me living from paycheck to paycheck. The only option I saw was to return to school to get some sort of formal training. I did not want to spend years in college, so I decided to go to a trade school. After some research, I became intrigued with the field of cosmetology. I liked the possibility of someday going into business for myself. I went for an orientation at a local beauty school, and I was sold on being able to complete the program in a year. I was overjoyed thinking that I would be soon be putting all those dead end jobs behind me. I thought becoming a cosmetologist would be life changing, and it would be, but not the way I envisioned.
My chemistry term paper is about the science involved in cosmetics. Cosmetology is the professional skill of beautifying the face, hair and nails, other things that Cosmetology includes is face washes, tattoos, henna tattoos, deodorant and antiperspirant, sunscreen, lotions and moisturizers, and towelettes. The chemistry involved with these almost everyday products is astounding, the ancient ingredients that they used that are now banned and obsolete, either being too poisonous or the product was replaced with something more healthy and safer to the environment or the skin.
