Rap is a genre of music that was born in the 1970, in the streets of the Bronx, New York as a tool of expression from the African American and Latin American community. The musicians of these community during that time considered themselves an oppressed minority, so they started to express themselves freely through rapping to speak up about the current issues that were plaguing their society, such as stereotype, police brutality, violence, discrimination, gangs and crime, among others. The main objective that rap singers had was to propose solutions to those problems and motivate their audience to get rid from those issues because it harmed their community and it create an unhealthy environment for them. According to a study by the American Psychological Association, “violent song lyrics increase negative emotions and thoughts that can lead to aggression.” Meaning that the lyrics of songs with an hostile content generate similar thoughts and feelings to individuals and they may behave adverse and perceive that way. So, people who listen to this kind of rap songs with intense violent lyrics are more likely to commit violent crimes or participate in violent activities. Some of the lyrics of rap with a negative context appear on Tay K's albums, "Woke up too moody, who gon' die today? Shoot a fuckboy in his motherfuckin' face…” Although he is not the only one who choirs aggressive anthems, also the rapper Eminem makes this type of compositions that portrayed a negative context as a good thing, and their listener who are especially adolescents and young adults may like to do it because according to the lyrics is fine to kill someone, instead of educating why it harm society and why it created a detrimental atmosphere they are pushing people to o
