As a person who has struggled with obesity for a long period of time, I have always found it hard to keep track of my daily calorie intake and what my intake level should be. Considering that not everyone is the same and that the calorie intake will vary from person to person.Therefore I never understood how to determine my personal calorie intake level. Now in days new tools have emerged and have helped people keep track of their health. But since I myself am not a very technological person I had no knowledge of what websites to use and which ones provided the best and most accurate information that I could rely on. When I signed up for this course, for me it's more than a course that I need for my major. This course for me is something that I truly need to be able to understand what's going on in my body and how I can prevent certain diseases and improve my current health condition. I truly believe that as time into this course goes by I will obtain much more knowledge than what I already know. During the beginning of the class, the first discussion topic gave me the opportunity to know that there are certain websites that I can use to help me keep track of what I eat and how much calories I should be consuming. If I would have known about these websites earlier in time, my life would have been much easier. For example, Choosemyplate.gov provided me with so much information that I will use especially when preparing my meals. Since I had gastric
