Ansel gives an account on how dietitians will help their patients discover an effective weight loss plan. Dietitians do not give out one generic diet plan. They choose to work with each patient individually and adjust the plans according to each of his or her needs. The weight loss plans are truly productive due to the dietitians and their one-on-one connections with their patients. This article explains how dietitians provide helpful and successful programs for their patients. The information throughout this article will help to describe the details of what all goes into a weight loss program.

The program helps RD’s insert their patient’s information and needs into a software that will evaluate what is best for that patient. It will tell people everything they need to be eating, give them a shopping list for the grocery store, and explain the recommended portion sizes. People will become aware of this software that can be available for them through a RD. The dietary guideline is in response to the public’s desire for authoritative, consistent guidelines on diet and health (Slavin, 2012). One of the reasons for developing the dietary guidelines was to provide science based advice for two years old or older to help prevent chronic diseases and promote health.
