Regarding the piano search committee meeting this afternoon, I want to express my disappointment with your heated reaction to my concern over the disposition of the recording that was produced during that meeting. My concern and proposal was presented respectfully (as I am confident our outside committee member will attest), and as with any other member of the committee, the issue deserved to be discussed openly and without rancor. As chair of the committee (and the department) your angry, somewhat personal response set a negative tone for the exchange that clearly communicated to others on the committee that my concerns are not to be addressed nor respected. In many ways it felt as if I were being bullied in front of my colleagues. It
The Human Resources Department would like to congratulate and thank you for doing an outstanding job in the investigation of the incident needed to determine whether Mr. Barton’s dismissal was warranted. Although your job as a human resources advisor involves keeping records about all Rona’s employees, you have exceeded our expectations on this investigation. The way you gathered information from the individuals involved and the way you
The piano, created by Bartolomeo Christofori in 1709, has impacted our society by becoming a popular instrument and a popular medium for musicians to create musical masterpieces. Also called the pianoforte, the piano is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments that can range in sound from as low as a gust of wind, to as high as the shrill sound of a bird. It has evolved over time and become an amazing instrument. The piano was accepted very well in history and it has generated many changes in the music industry. The piano was also used a lot in society and has had many applications grow from it. Without it, many classical masterpieces as well as modern songs wouldn’t have been possible.
I respect the time and effort you put into school, but I must address some of the issues regarding your current term as secretary. I understand this may be your first leadership position and you may not know what it means to be a leader. I understand the position that you are in, and every leader, including myself, has been there. Inexperience does not excuse your shortcomings.
First, I would like to apologize for the noise level that came from our room and not respecting the housing policies that are set up for the students to follow. The way we behaved that day was incorrect because we were loud and affected the flow of Floor 12.
After reading your letter I was in a state of shock for a period of time because it is actually a matter of our school's reputation and I really want to look at it in detail to rectify the actual issue so that best possible outcomes can be generated.
Thank you for the detailed memo of 11/28/2016. I appreciate the opinions, and have weighed them against the report.
2) Engaging in Initiatives: I mentioned that the meeting you attended yesterday at PMHCC I was not privy to. I do appreciate your contribution to department initiatives. We discussed that going forward,
In Player Piano, everything is controlled by machines and computers and depends on productivity. The managers and engineers only create new programs for more productive production. Even the rates of production and consumption are calculated by a computer (EPICAC), which is seated in the large Carlsbad cavern system. The EPICAC computer even determines the people's careers and in this way their whole lives. It gives intelligence tests to everyone, and on the basis of their results it sorts people into two categories - suitable for university entering exams and suitable for 'work'. The university studies allow their graduates to become managers, engineers, writers or public relation workers. You may become a writer only if
I admire your graciousness in accepting the apology letter from Allison and realization that we are volunteers and make mistakes along the way. The Director of Education and Training is going to perform an audit of the remaining visits scheduled
‘The Pianist’ is a cinematic masterpiece by the Polish director Roman Polanski. One of the key ideas that appear throughout much of the film is that of ‘hope being instrumental in our survival’. This idea is portrayed through Wladyslaw Szpilman, a Polish pianist, as he struggles for survival in Warsaw as everybody that he once knew and everything that he once had is lost. The idea of ‘hope being instrumental in our survival’ is worth learning about as it allows the audience to realise the importance of hope in todays society – and to understand how Polanski uses music to symbolise ‘hope’ for Szpilman in the film. Polanski effectively utilises an array of visual and oral text features such as music, dialogue, and lighting to build further
My life has always been tied to the piano in some shape or form. I can remember the first notes I ever produced. They came from a large Cable upright piano that had sat unused and out of tune for decades. From my early childhood and on my relationship with the piano consisted of nothing more than fleeting encounters. Some days I would sit down and simply play notes I thought sounded nice, but mostly the piano acted as a decoration in my home. It wasn 't until moving to Oklahoma to be with my mother 's family that anything serious developed concerning the piano. I had always been far away from my family, so when I met up with my grandmother we took the time to catch up. She mentioned that my mother used to play the piano quite well. Up until that point I had never given the piano much thought, but I began to think about my mother and all the old piano books she had accumulated from her adolescence. That set in motion my desire to learn how to play and an eventual reappraisal of the way I looked at music and the world around me.
I take umbrage to your voice mail to Joanne. You took offense with my remarks about the former treasurer, however, you feel free to make disparaging remarks about , Sara ( I remind you about the time we went to lunch and you said that you didn't like her), Rob Carll and his wife and Susan. Based on your remarks, I am reminded about the old adage that says, "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones". In my opinion the former treasurers wife is in need of mental help and he would do well to attend some anger management classes. In our confrontation, while I was acting civil and attempting to discuss a matter where his wife yelled, "Fuck you" at me, he got out of his car and came within a couple of inches of my face and began yelling,
The beautiful sound of piano music has captured the hearts of people since the early eighteenth century. Since then, many musicians have dedicated their lives to this instrument. Some players even play piano so well that it may seem that this instrument is easy to play. However, to be able to play the piano well isn’t easy; it takes a lot of skill. To become a good piano player, one must love music very much, have good finger techniques, and body flexibility.
As the ivory keys moved up and down I listened to the sweet sound of my grandma's piano playing. I knew that I wanted to be a piano player and that If I were to do that, then my grandma would have to teach me so that one day I could play just like her. I started playing piano when I was seven and I have been playing ever since. My grandma has taught me for five years and will continue to teach me. Piano is very big and important in my family. My cousins play and my grandma also teaches them and we all have to practice for her and other activities. Piano playing has shaped me into the person I am today because having a good attitude, practice, and hard work has helped me by teaching lessons that will help me know what I want to be when I grow up.
