ResEd Final Reflection
In RE102 I learned a lot of valuable life skills in a wide variety of areas. We covered the important topics of communication, decision making, conflict resolution, time management, stress management, resumes, online self, healthy relationships, and sexual assault/consent. From general tips to the more serious issues such as sexual assault, this class has prepared me for many important life situations. Specific to NCSSM, skills such as stress and time management will help me be able to succeed and remain happy at this rigorous school.
One of the topics I found interesting was our unit on Time Management. This included some ways to classify time that I had not thought about before. For example, the idea that all

With the information I learned about what quadrant tasks fall under, I will set priorities about which tasks (quadrant one) I will complete first. I will also be able to recognize which activities I need to remove (quadrant three) and limit (quadrant four). During times in which I have a lot of deadlines coming up, I will prioritize assignments more effectively. With the personality information I learned in this class, I will work on avoiding my weaknesses in the future. Since those for a Driver are a reluctance to ask for help and to work in a group setting, I will make sure to recognize when I need help and to ask for it when I do. I will also try to work better in a group setting and carry less of the load upon myself. This will help me have better time management for group projects.
For myself, I have realized that in order for me to avoid procrastination, I have to get the easiest tasks out of the way first. Otherwise, if I am trying to start with the large essay for example, I will be distracted and constantly switch back and forth between the easier tasks. There is also some scientific evidence that shows doing an easy task first will allow you to be mentally prepared for the harder tasks. A very important technical skill I learned from this course was how to craft a successful resumé. Some of the information was as simple as what font to use but I found it very interesting how important these small pieces were. Some of the most
I can hear some moms already groaning. Time is a scarce resource for many moms. In the course of any given day, I keep wishing for more hours. However, every one of us has been given the same number of hours. It’s up to you to organize and prioritize your activities for maximum success.
It is said that “Time and Tide waits for none”. As an upcoming college freshman I need to understand the value of time to succeed in life. I have to understand that everything needs to be prioritized no matter the case. That being able to manage my time correctly will teach me discipline which is exactly what I need to get through college with the goals I have set for myself. Individuals who stick to a time plan are more likely the people who realize their goals and objectives within the shortest possible time span. This will help me get my work done before the deadline instead of working on it the night before.
There are innumerable things that can complicate the time that people have. Family, work, and school are the leading bandits. By using a few easy steps, overcoming the roadblocks will seem effortless and it will be very beneficial in your life.
This piece of reflection will focus on my progress and experiences during my placement in Campbelltown Hospital Medical E ward. I will be using the Gibbs 1988 model of reflection (Gibbs, 1988). This cycle helped me to reflect in a structured and effective way. The subject of this paper will reflect on my time management skills whilst maintaining the necessary standards of practice at all times (NMBA, 2016).
Time management is an important aspect of every individual’s life as everyone should prioritize their responsibilities, and ensure that there is the appropriate amount of time for everything. In fact, time is the regulator of almost all activities and it is something you always lose but can never get back. Many individuals wish that they had more time or could re-live certain moments and use their time wisely. However, in the healthcare profession every second is essential and it is important for the nursing leadership to utilize the appropriate time management techniques. In nursing leadership, time management involves the control and regulation of time that is spent on different activities with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing staff. Nursing leadership involves the appropriate utilization of time. The paper will provide an illustration of the importance of time management in nursing. In addition, it will also analyze the difference between leadership and management and how the two roles utilize time management in their respective jobs.
The most challenging topic for me was the Unit 6: A Normal World. At first, I had difficulty understanding the Standard scores and Percentiles of a distribution. However, the seminar and discussion posts in Unit 6 helped me a lot to get through and have a better understanding of the Normal distribution.
Reflect on what you have learned in this course and discuss how it might influence your work as a professional
The most valuable thing that I have learned from this class is about survival for the next 5 or 10 years. Because I want to earn great value of staying in the job longer that being terminated or laid off. I have been praying to God dues to my ages that I have come a long way to find better resources and material to help me achieve better mentoring attitudes, behavior and
This semester I learned a lot about the management process that takes place in healthcare organizations. The five concepts that resonated with me, along with how I feel they fit with the storyboard above are: planning, time management, organizing, staffing, & controlling.
It is rightly said "Time and Tide wait for none". An individual should understand the value of time for him to succeed in all aspects of life. People who waste time are the ones who fail to create an identity of their own.
There are many reasons that time management is important. For example, if your unit was getting ready for deployment, you would need to be at the right place at the right the time, to receive any information you or your fellow soldiers may need to know before you leave. If you weren’t there when you were told to be then you would fall court martial under article 87 in the UCMJ, which is missing movement. Should you miss movement, you could face the possibility of being court martialed for being late or not showing up at all. People have also gone to prison for missing movement. When this happens your
From the very first day that I have been in the nursing program, holistic, patient centered care has been at the forefront of our education. Though this concept may seem simple in definition, in execution, I found found it to be much more complex. Through my clinical experience this semester, I have had many great opportunities to experience what holistic care looks like and I think it is incredibly important to recognize exactly how to implement it into everyday care. By utilising techniques such as effective time management, collaboration and being self-aware, I feel as though I have been able to expand my skillset and provide care that has been appropriate and met patient needs.
When I first evaluated myself in the study skill academic test, time management was my weakest skill overall. This was priority in terms of skill development because I would always leave things till the last minute and stress myself out trying to turn in things on time. In order to improve this I made a smart goal to carry out in the beginning of the year. Now after some time, the results of my progression are shown. My smart goal that I created for myself regarding my time management planned out very well, I was able to successfully accomplish a majority of my assignments on time. I would review the material of the week on Monday’s and compile all of the assignments due for the week. The monthly calendar was also a key factor in helping me keep up to date in the month so see what where upcoming tasks the following week. If I needed more clarification on certain tasks then I would login and check the syllabus.
One of the most important self-management skills involves controlling and budgeting your time. Gaining control of your time and your life involves identifying time wasters and determining your peak energy level. Managing time also involves identifying goals, setting priorities, and creating an action plan. Determining what tasks should be done first and overcoming procrastination are major factors in creating success. All these steps and issues involve critical thinking skills. Use critical thinking to
I have learned so much in this class to prepare me for a successful college experience. There were some topics that caught my attention more than others. Such as, time and stress management, University resources, and critical thinking.
