1) Skill 1: Verbal Communication
When I was working in Walt Disney World as a cast member my main role was helping guests check out and answering their questions. Most of the guests that came to the parks were not from Florida. We had many families who were traveling even from other countries and this was some of their first times in the United States. This diverse group of people meant that there was a variety of different languages spoken. I needed to adapt and tell guests the price of items and give directions in another way besides speaking English. I took note of how the other cast members, who had been there longer than me, were communicating with others. I learned that pointing at numbers and writing down prices is a great way to tell a guest their total. When it came to giving directions I immediately grabbed a map and started to point at significant landmarks, like the castle, to show them were we were and what direction they needed to head. The tools helped me become a more efficient cast member and help guests from all around the world.

2) Skill 2: Leadership
To be honest I haven’t experienced a leadership position. Usually when I am placed in a group I like to make suggestions, but I never become the leader. Being a leader is a skill that I struggle with and want to improve on. I am enrolled in a Business Marketing class right now and in that class we are required to complete a group project. I am hoping to have more of a leadership
