Regular-Season Cavs
The Cleveland Cavaliers that swept the top-seeded Toronto Raptors out of the postseason in dominant fashion looked completely different from the Cavs team that eked out 50 wins in the regular season. And with good reason: The bulk of Cleveland’s postseason minutes have gone to, quite literally, a different team. Through the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Cavaliers have leaned heavily on a five-man lineup that had never shared the court before.
In the team’s series against the Pacers and Raptors, Cleveland’s most-used lineup has been George Hill, J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, LeBron James and Kevin Love. So far this postseason, they’ve logged 110 minutes together. That’s 110 more than they played together in the regular
Leading to how the game has changed today where the defense is much better Lebron still can show he is the most amazing player out there.
It would have been a tough road to hoe without two starters in Kevin Love and Anderson Varejao. It was even tougher after losing Kyrie Irving in Game 1. But yet the Cavs took a 2-1 lead in the series and made a late charge in Game 6 when it appeared the game was already over.
None of that carried over to 2014-15, though, with the Raptors dropping all the way to 23rd (104.8). It became clear that a majority of players on the team were incapable of executing on the defensive end, which was surprising considering a large percentage of the roster returned from the year before.
During the 2015-2016 season, Lebron James went home to the Cavaliers and went on to have wins of 57 and losses 25. In the playoffs, the Cavaliers were playing the Golden State Warriors. The Cavaliers were down 3-1, if they were to lose
Obviously, the perception of the NBA in that particular era was tougher. One could argue they game is much more fast paced today than ever. Which, it doesn't take a genius to make the inference that could be a reason for the recent need for rest for so many of ours stars today.
In the NBA, it’s no new news that the Cleveland Cavaliers star, Lebron James, and the players in the history of the Boston Celtics organization are big longtime rivals. This rivalry goes as far back as 2007. In 2007 a major shift in NBA History happened when star Lebron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers to go join stars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat. This happened because star Lebron James felt as if the Cavaliers GM was not helping the team enough, as they could not get past the Boston Celtics in the playoffs. As Lebron went to Miami he was able to win two back to back championships in the four years he was there. This made things worse for the Boston Celtics. Not only were they losing every year to the same team, their team
In four games against Chicago in 2014-15, LeBron James averaged 28.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 37.2 minutes per game. In the most recent win over the bulls on april 5 (99-94)James registered a triple-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and three steals in 37
umbled by the Heat's loss to the Mavericks, James spent the offseason working with Hakeem Olajuwon on his post game.[115][116] His work with Olajuwon paid off, fueling what Grantland's Kirk Goldsberry called "one of the greatest and most important transformations in recent sports history".[117] Behind James' more post-oriented play,[117] Miami matched their best start to a season in franchise history,[118] and at the conclusion of the lockout-shortened 2011–12 campaign, he was named MVP for the third time, finishing with averages of 27.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game on 53 percent shooting.
National Basketball Association Eastern Conference leader Cleveland Cavaliers demolished the Western’s Pacific Division third-ranked Sacramento Kings to a 120-100 victory Monday night.
Joe Johnson’s buzzer beater in Game 1 led the Jazz to an upset victory. Chris Paul led the Clippers to a Game 2 victory with 21 points and 10 assist. Before Ruby Gobert’s knee injury the Jazz posed a threat to the Clippers; however, he is expected to miss Game 3 and is uncertain for the series. This series could have gone the distance and be ranked number one but without the “Stifle Tower” the Jazz don’t possess enough firepower.
Can you imagine waking up one morning to find out that the best basketball player on the planet is coming back home to play for your city? On July 11, 2014, LeBron James announced that he would be returning to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was a bright, sunny morning. I woke up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. All summer long, people in Ohio were very hopeful that LeBron would come back. A lot of people thought the rumors were a joke and that it would never happen. They thought he would win another championship and rub it in our faces again while the Cavs were nowhere near making the playoffs for another straight year. The team was bad, but we had a promising point guard to set up LeBron and score the ball too. I went back
The 2015-16 Charlotte Hornets were extremely competitive after the All-Star break last season, as they had a 21-8 record after the All-Star break. They went back and forth with the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat for the 3rd,4th,5th and 6th seed throughout the second half of the season. In the end, the Hornets went back to the playoffs after a one year absence and ended up with the 6th seed, losing to the Miami Heat in an exciting first-round, seven game series. This offseason saw the Hornets re-sign Nicolas Batum and Marvin Williams, but they also lost some key pieces from the previous playoff season in guard Courtney Lee (Knicks), center and sixth man
Matt Moore, CBS Sports news writer, claims “The Cavaliers, meanwhile, looked like they had the best team they’ve put on the floor. They were dominant, dynamic and looked like they had built chemistry and continuity.” True Lebron James played with the Cavaliers his first year off of college and had chemistry with his team, however no one likes a team with only one person running the court and thinking he can tell everyone what to do. When people watch basketball they look for the effort that each team put into working together.CBS Sports stats states “That sequence is bonkers. It’s brash, arrogant, fun and brilliant. It is everything the Warriors do wrapped up in one sequence..”
Regarding physiological needs, the Brooklyn Nets have done well in providing basic needs. Specifically, the water cool is almost always full and there was only one period of time during my internship in which I witnessed it not being full. The water fountains are always kept, the nozzles are also clean. Also, there is food constantly being given at company meetings. I mention this because in these facts because I have worked for employers who never treated their employees to food. Also, I have had employers that have had dirty, unkept water fountains for their employees. These former employers had high turnover.
It was the 42nd consecutive regular-season home game triumph of the Golden State and the ballclub is 24-0 at Oracle Arena this season. The reigning NBA champions are within two victories at home away of matching the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls' NBA-record home winning streak of 44 games from March 30, 1995 to April 4, 1996.
