Reporter And Paternal Aunt Case Summary

The reporter stated there was an incident when Mrs. Sterling sent a 15 year old boy that Briana wanted to go to homecoming with text messages about her breast. The reporter also stated there was an incident when Mrs. Sterling dropped Briana off at a party she was not invited to because the host did not want to deal with her mother. The reporter stated Briana knew the owners of the home and she was not injured or harm while attending the party. The reporter stated Mrs. Sterling has been witnessed grabbing Briana’s hair, yelling, screaming, and threatening to hit her with a belt when she doesn’t perform her gymnastic stunts correctly. Ms. Barbay stated Mr. Sterling comes into the home drunk and Mrs. Sterling will call the children in a room when the parents are about to fight; the children have to stand in the room to watch their parents fight. Per the reporter, during the fight, Mrs. Sterling will have the children call their paternal grandparents for help. There’s concern that Hermionne Romeo, is not properly caring for her daughter, Ashante Saint Val (17). The mother kicked the child out of the home, and will not allow the child to return. The child was having chest pain and is self-mutilating. The mother refuses to take the child to the doctor and to provide legal documentation to Ms. Aarons (caretaker). The child has not been in school due to being expelled for missing too many days of school.

PER REPORTER: Jamita said she use to represent Ayanna in the past through the youth court for delinquent matters. Jamita said this morning she received a call from Shavon Sykes a counselor at Warren Yazoo Mental Health regarding Ayanna. Jamita said Shavon told her, she saw her client referring to Ayanna on the corner of Washington and Lee Street surrounded by police. Jamita said she then left her office to go and check on the child because she knew she had been having some issues at home. Jamita said when she arrived to the scene she noticed Ayanna had clothes in her bag and was planning to run away. Jamita said she asked Ayanna why she was running away from home and she expressed no longer wanting to be at home with her mother. Jamita said

R/s July 3rd-8th Danielle (4) and Josiah (5) were staying in Georgia with Judy and Felicia Wilson. R/s Felicia beat Mariah with an electrical cord and Mariah has scratches on her back and bruised buttock. R/s Danielle (mom) took the child to ER and trying to press charges against Felicia.

The case was brought to DCFS attention when a reporter stated on 7/11/17, OPWI attempted to obtain an emergency order of protection on behalf of Kiara (age 7). Reportedly Ashley (mother) is actively using METH and also methodone she gets from a clinic, and is also involved in prostitution. Ashley told OPWI that Ashley ''can't wait outside for the bus to go to drug court because she's done bad things to people (robbed people, committed home invasion, taken people's money and drugs) and these people are after her.'' Reporter states that one of these people came to OPWI's house looking for Ashley and scared Kiara. Ashley recently got out of jail, stayed with OPWI for a couple of days, left last Friday telling Kiara she would be back in a couple of hours, didn't return

PER REPORTER: Marquise lives with the aunt and she possibly has other children in the home. Per reporter, Marquise has been at his home because his son is friends with Marquise. Marquise has been at the reporter's home for about 1 week. It seems that his family doesn't care about him nor are they concerned. They have not came to check on him. Reporter stated he has to feed Marquise and he can't continue to stay at his home. Reporter stated he knows the family gets assistance for him. Marquise said his father pays child support. His father is a man named Lee supposedly. Reporter stated Lee gave a number to a lady named Mary. It is unknown who Mary is. Reporter stated Marquise said he went to the home Friday and he and his cousin got into a fight.

On May 23, 2016, I was assigned this case to follow up. This case involves Ms. Anjelica Cassidy Grim a 17 year old T.C. Williams High School student. I made multiple attempts to located Anjelica at School and at 27 South French Street (home). On May 27, 2016, I spoke to Sal Gnim (mother) who reported her daughter returned home the next day. She confirmed that her daughter had been out with her boyfriend. Sal told me that they had a conversation and cleared the conflict up. Sal reported that this was the first time her daughter had runaway. I received permission from Sal to speak to her daughter in School.

3:20pm- IRTC spoke with assigned CPS, Oneeka Peters, who reported that the subject child was interviewed at the Brooklyn CAS on 3/21/17 and there was substantial disclosure of possible sex abuse. CPS expressed that Detective Ruby was present and he reported that he does not think the alleged subject is the foster parent’s ex-husband, but there was a brother (foster parent’s relative) who frequented the home during the timeframe the child was referring to. CPS expressed that the subject child stated that the alleged subject was the foster parent’s husband, but there were questions as to who she was actually identifying. CPS voiced that the whereabouts of the foster parent’s ex-husband and her brother are currently unknown. CPS expressed that

PER REPORTER: Charlie said today five year old Makiyah was brought into the emergency room in Chicago, IL by her mother. He said the child was brought in due to the child disclosing to her mother that while she was in Mississippi in the care of her grandmother (Felicia) she was abusing her. Charlie said he was told that Makiyah has been in Chicago, IL with her mother for a week now due to the child’s aunt dropping her off with her mother. Charlie said to his understanding the child was randomly dropped off with her mother by her aunt due to Felicia no longer being able to care for the child. Charlie said the child’s mother told him that Makiyah was staying with Felicia in Mississippi until she got everything together for the child to be able to come and live with her. However, he said according to the child’s mother the child will be staying with her and will not be going back to stay with her grandmother.

IRTC spoke with assigned CPS, Leslie Johns, who reported that she made a visit to case address and she was able to observe one subject child who was free of visible injuries. CPS stated that the alleged subject was arrested due to concerns regarding another adult. CPS added that she tried meeting with the other children but the parents of three of the children are not retuning her call and another parent had to confer with her husband before make a decision regarding a visit. At this time, this case will to be enhanced to an IRT.

She was taken to the E.R. by the mother. Elizabeth told dad's ex-girlfriend that she was leaking on herself. She was too scared to tell dad she was hurting. Mom said dad's ex-girlfriend told her that dad got upset with Elizabeth and threw her on the bed and made her sit in the bathtub. She also said he grabbed her by the neck. Mom said the child has no marks or bruises that she could see. Elizabeth said dad told her if she went with the mother, he would have mom locked away and she would never see her again. Elizabeth said dad wanted her to watch her younger sibling (Timber) while he showered. She gave Timber some of her candy and she was crying. Dad grabbed Elizabeth by her hair and slammed her on the bed when he thought she hit Timber. Alexis asked him for spending money for the fair and he told her either you've gone crazy or the mother is drugging you. He told her no and he shouldn't have to help when mom didn't help for those 2 months. Mom said when she got Elizabeth from school, dad wanted to know if she had her. Dad told Bay St. Louis police that he has new custody papers showing that he had custody. Mom was contacted by police and she was asked what her custody

PER REPORTER: Curlydria is learning grown folks stuff. She is popping, danching, and opening her legs. Her mother teachers her to dance inappropriately. There are concerns that the mother hits the children in the back with her fist and pops them onthe head. They have no marks or bruises. Per reporter, mom is addicted to marijuana and she constantly smokes around the children. Mom is currently pregnant. Mom purchases drugs on the street. Drugs are not accessible to the children and the children have not been harmed hurt. Reporter stated Glenntavious loves his games. Mom allows her boyfriend to play the games while Glenntavious watches. Per reporter, mom got back pay over $1,000 for food stamps. Mom couldnt have Glenntavious a birthday party.

On February 22, 2016, I was assigned this case for follow up. I was assigned a second case on February 24, 2016. The person involved in both investigations is Ms. Kassidy Pullara a fourteen year old T.C. Williams High School student. I contacted Doris L. Stanley (Guardian) and was granted access at school to interview Kassidy Pullara in school.

REPORTER: The reporter/ anonymous called with concerns for the four victims, Colton, and three unknown males. According to the reporter, Kelly is in Burnsville 4 nights a week. The reporter said, a couple of months ago, Kelly and Matthew (boyfriend) was in Corinth, MS stealing a trailer. Matthew was driving the car, and “he slung the baby out of the car seat onto the floorboard”. The reporter said Matthew took off running and called someone to pick him up. Kelly was passed out in the front seat, and she was arrested. The police department called Human Services to pick up the baby, and they called the grandmother to come and get the child. The reporter said Kelly is pregnant, and she is on meth, oxycontin, clonotin, and xanax, but Kelly is not

He walks around with a hard on. Ja’Kevion alleged that Tray who is 4 or 5 years older, messed with him when he was 4 years old. The incident happened one time. Tray stays in Wilkinson County and has MDDD. His mom name is Stacey and the reporter stated Marion would have more information for that family. Mom said Ja’Kevion told her about the incident and she told him not to go around Tray. She did not report the allegation. Reporter stated mom does not leave the children home alone with each other. She makes Ja’Kevion sit by himself and she keeps the younger children with her. She is afraid to leave the children around Ja’Kevion. Reporter feels there is something wrong with Ja’Kevion. He appears depressed. He look like he has a lot on his mind. At school last year the reporter noticed he did not socialize with the other child and he was to himself. He do not have a behavior problem. Mom wanted to tell the reporter is information because she wants to get Ja’Kevion some help. Reporter stated mom is a private person. The family have working utilities and food in the home. Reporter is not aware
