Daniel Boone a Quaker explorer is one of the most known of the frontiersmen in America. He began during the early westward expansion and created a path for many others to follow along with this he encountered Native Americans with bad intentions while building and living in his settlement boonesborough.
Étienne de Veniard, sieur de Bourgmont and Daniel Boone led very interesting lives. Both of them being explorers of Missouri and sharing love for the land. Though they were both explorers, they still resided very different lifestyles. Bourgmont was an entire life ahead of Boone. Bourgmont was considered an outlaw when he first became the explorer of the Missouri River basin while Boone was thought more of as a hero. Despite their differences, both men had a large impact on Missouri.
Thomas Morton was a lawyer, who in 1624 left England and settled in Massachusetts in a region he called Ma-re Mount (a hill by the sea). This area became an active fur trading site for New England and is where many afflictions/conflicts occurred between himself and the pilgrims (Separatist Puritans) of the Plymouth Community. Morton and William Bradford (the governor of the pilgrims) both made accounts of their lives in Massachusetts. Each of their tales was different from one another's, especially their perspectives of the Indians and religious values.
In colonizing the new world Captain John Smith and William Bradford were both significant figures. They both established colonies through writings, the hoped to attract more settlers that were relatable to the them. Smith was the first man to uphold a permanent settlement in America. Bradford was a puritan who was brave and firm on setting up a colony where people could practice religion freely. Both of these men shared similarities and differences with their views of relationships with fellow settlers, interactions with native americans and divine providence.

There were a few people that had a great influence on the early settlements in the New World. Two such men were William Bradford and John Smith. Their similarities and differences are evident in the way these men impacted the two colonies. John Smith and William Bradford were both writers, Christians, and early leaders; however, William Bradford preformed his duties with much stronger morals, spirituality, and humility.
The mountainous and forested area of the Yadkin River Valley offered Boone a chance to sharpen his hunting skills. He became widely known for his shooting and back woods abilities by the time he was an adult. This will become his most valuable asset in establishing future lands. He took innumerable short-lived hunting expeditions and even helped Edward Braddock, leader of the British army, by being a teamster, in the French and Indian War (Smith, 2012). Afterwards, his time in the Yadkin River Valley brought a special woman in his life, named, Rebecca Bryan, and numerous children (Hale, 2010).

Before all of this Jim Jones was a normal man living a life as a preacher who preached against racism. Throughout his life he was very popular by “currying favor with public officials and the media, donated money to numerous charitable causes and delivered votes for various politicians at election times”(History Staff). Jim Jones was a cult leader that preached to 900+ people of the Peoples Temple, made hundreds of people commit suicide, and made history of the biggest loss of U.S. civilians before 9/11.

Second, Penn is responsible for the “holy experiment”: the colony of Pennsylvania. He was a Quaker advocate, and as a proprietor had the opportunity to practice the Quaker Peace testimony.

Daniel Boone was born on October 22, 1734 and later died on September 26, 1820. He was an American pioneer and hunter whose frontier explorations made him one of the first heroes of the United States. Boone is most famous for his exploration and settlement of what is now the state of Kentucky. Despite resistance from American Indians, for whom Kentucky was a traditional hunting ground, in 1775 Boone blazed the Wilderness Road through the Cumberland Gap and into Kentucky. There he founded Boonesborough, one of the first English-speaking settlements beyond the Appalachian Mountains. Before the end of the 18th century, more than 200,000 people entered Kentucky by following the route marked by Boone.
