Space. A lonesome and dark place. It’s limitless and a never-ending tapestry of stars and planets. One of these billions of planets is ours, “Earth.” But one of the largest, most spoken, and unsolved questions in every history book of mankind is: “Who created us?” Was it God or was it through the science of bacteria and evolution?
KRYPTON and EARTH PLANETARY DATA COMPARISON: Krypton, a planet distant from ours, and much, much older, 8.7 billion years in fact. This was before it imploded around two decades ago; the reason: deteriorated ozone, exhausted natural resources, and over-population for years. The distance between Earth and Krypton is 27.1 light years, 1 light year equals 6 trillion miles, which, in Earth years, means that Krypton

It was desolate with rare sights of vegetation, and the peoples had to scavenge the landscape to survive its brutal climate changes. But long ago, in a time of exploration of art and science, and expansion, the Kryptonians spread out through the ocean of stars, seeking new worlds to settle upon, colonizing. The race of aliens created spacecrafts which had organic structures, similar to the landscape of Krypton. The spacecraft would be one of the great machines that would reshape environments, or “terraform,” changing the atmospheres to suitable standards to support Kryptonian life. What changed was that Krypton had suffered from over-population and artificial population was established. Artificial population was able to be done because of the Kryptonians’ discovering that they could tamper with their own DNA, changing it, and creating new forms of life, but which would retain the physiology of their own, even through the tampering. The outposts and space exploration were abandoned, and the Kryptonians had exhausted their natural resources. As a result, to find a source of power, Kryptonians scientists began harvesting the core of the planet, which made Krypton’s core unstable. Over time, Krypton became unable to support artificial population and began resorting back to natural birth, but the population was lowered and steadied. This would only save Krypton for a few more centuries before its
Large amounts of iridium – a chemical element that is not a part of the Earth’s crust composition – were originally found in rocks of Europe and United States, and have been found everywhere ever since. Iridium, common in meteorites, is a testable evidence of the disaster hypothesis. Gould continues that the Cretaceous debacle, which is one of five episodes of mass dying, occurred at the same time as the large comet might have smashed into the Earth. The author believes this is not merely a coincidence, rather, it is a proof of the cause-effect relationship. The demise of a wide range of habitats along with the extinction of dinosaurs gives an inestimable advantage to the disaster theory over other claims, the author adds. The comet struck the Earth, and habitats, from terrestrial to marine, died with geological suddenness. Finally, this hypothesis has had an impact on the study of an atomic war and its consequences. A nuclear war, Gould says, may cause a huge drop in temperatures and result in the extinction of humanity. Testable evidence, study, development, contribution – all this makes good science.
In chapter two of the book “Problems from Philosophy”, by James Rachels, the author guided us through the process in which the topic of God and the origin of the universe was discussed and argued. There were many arguments many arguments towards this topic from both a religious belivers view point, and a non-believer. The main points in this chapter were the arguments, like the argument from design, the best-explanation argument, the same-evidence argument, the theory of Natural selection, and the first cause argument.
The phenomenon of the creation of the universe has baffled many for some time. The question of whether or not a designer/God put together this most intricate world in a personal quest or project leaves many in great debate. Was life brought about by some evolutionary feat? Or, in opposition, did an intelligent being create life with perfection in mind? Both questions can be answered in many different ways. Steven Weinberg, writer of A Designer Universe, offers his thoughts, through abduction, regarding the likelihood of a designer creating the universe.
He narrowed his hunt down to a location in Denmark, where he had sent a colleague to perform an iridium analysis test at ("Asteroids and Dinosaurs: Unexpected Twists and an Unfinished Story," n.d.). When the results came back, Alvarez knew that whatever happened had not been a small-scale disaster. Once again, Alvarez was back to asking questions. What caused the increased iridium levels at the KT boundary? Except this time, he realized that his observations supported the ten year old hypothesis that had been proposed by paleontologist Dale Russell and physicist Wallace Tucker ("Asteroids and Dinosaurs: Unexpected Twists and an Unfinished Story," n.d.). They brought up the possibility of a supernova being the cause of dinosaur extinction. Supernovas are known to release high amounts of iridium, so such a hypothesis fit perfectly with Alvarez’s team’s discovery. However, the hope of having found a conclusion was short-lived. Luis Alvarez had mentioned that if said supernova had occurred that it would have released amounts of plutonium which would have been found alongside the iridium; no plutonium was found at either site. After more digging, the team came up with a new hypothesis ("Asteroids and Dinosaurs: Unexpected Twists and an Unfinished Story," n.d.). Perhaps an asteroid had struck Earth towards the end of the Cretaceous period, blowing enough dust into the atmosphere to

If you’re even the slightest bit interested in the existence of humans, you have probably wondered on how humans and the earth itself got here. Most modern day religions have their own idea of how these tings happened, but most of them make little sense and/or have no logic to them at all. The two creation stories that will be discussed in this paper are the Navajo Origin Legend and Scientology’s Story of Xenu. The Navajo believed that the gods made humans out of corn and wind and he gods sent them off to procreate. While the Scientologists believe that Xenu the all powerful emperor killed all of the beings that inhabited the 76 planets he ruled over and created new beings and implanted all the knowledge tat humans have today over 75 million years ago.
Since then, the origin of the universe became a very big question to everyone. The curiosity we possess help us seek answers from different questions we can think of. Different hypotheses and ideas were formed with great scientific evidence to prove that the universe began as a single primordial atom. The scientists even found out that the universe is expanding because of the great amount of dark matter present in it. However, with these ideas, the religious thinking of people could not be removed. The concept of God being the Creator of all the things that existed contradicts the views of the theories formed. The stories and verses contained in the bible are different from the results of studies connected to it. Here, I investigate the things

Since the creation of “The Invincible Superman”in 1938 he still remains to be one of the best and most well-known heroes.“Telling their sorrow, telling stories /Of their dead King and his greatness, his glory” (831-834).Beowulf has died, showing how he is mortal and able to die. Superman is not, he is invincible--indestructible from any and everything. Another huge difference between the two heroes is Beowulf is a human from earth. While Superman is inhuman and was exiled from the planet Krypton. After the battle with Grendel Beowulf must swim to the bottom of a murky lake to take the life of the one who took his men’s lives, Grendel’s Mother. Similarly, Superman must travel to other planets and other galaxies to help those in need of him. As a child, Superman is sent away from the planet of Krypton, to the town of Smallville,Kansas where he then realizes all his supernatural powers. Superman defends Metropolis against disaster but also flies into outer space to fight off Brainiac and save a city from his own planet. Many times, he makes the trip to other universes to help those in distress. This is a resemblance of how both men are able to use their remarkable abilities to better the lives of
Our planet Kroll was originally not inhabited until people from the planet Venus-Prime started to migrate to different inhabitable planets in our universe because Venice-Prime started to run out of natural supplies and many people were starting to die off. It took 105 years to find Kroll and when the people took their first steps on the planet, they realized how this planet had real potential and quickly started forming a plan that could help save their planet.
There are many topics that science and religion have opposing views on and continue to debate. One of these subjects that has received a great deal of attention and has placed an enormous wedge between the two realms is the varying opinions concerning the creation of the universe. For nearly a century, scientists have explained this phenomenon with the Big Bang theory, whereas spiritual thinkers have long placed their faith in the Genesis creation account. Both submit valid arguments, however, it is ultimately up to each individual to decide which testimony to accept as truth and to consider if it is possible that both opinions could co-exist.

Life has continually perplexed and fascinated individuals since the dawn of mankind. The subject’s complexity is so great even over the course of human existence only a minute fraction of its mysteries have been unraveled. A phenomenon which has always intrigued scientists is the origin of life on Earth, and in recent years significant advancements have been made in the understanding of this enigma. This essay will briefly outline two theories regarding life’s origin on Earth to further comprehend why an explanation for this phenomenon has been so difficult to reach.
Among all the things humans do not understand, the universe is one if not the most notorious idea in which the origin is a mystery. The complexity of the topic could go from the abstruse nature of quarks to the funniest and most unnatural idea of how the universe is grap in peace of zelofan. Religion and science have been differing one with the other, in which one of them is legitimate correct. The Bible affirms in the book of Genesis that the universe was created by an omnipotent identity in seven days, in contrary of what the science belive. In science, exist many different theories about the creation of the universe, but the most accepted and respected by the community, is the Big Bang theory, which is resumed by saying that the universe
