I couldn't believe i was about to do it. I was gonna ride Superman the famous ride at six flags. I had heard about it but I was always too scared to ride it. The woman's voice came on please keep all hands and feet inside the ride, and she started to count. Three, two one! Me and my family had drove to Six Flags to ride the rides and eat stuff from the concession stands. We started at rides like Ice Man and the we did Batman and then all the other rides. Then we stopped to get something to eat and then my mom looked at me and said. “You know what's next”, she looked at me and said, “Superman”. I felt my stomach turning as we walked towards the Superman ride. I saw the people going up and down the ride, the
We started our long journey to Gurnee, Illinois where Six Flags Great America is located. Melissa, Anna and I were playing in the car while my mom was paying attention to the road. It was still early in the morning, so I took a nap and I woke up 45 minutes later. We all stopped at McDonald's on the way, because we did not have any breakfast yet.
There are a lot of people who have a fear of roller coasters and other rides at amusement or theme parks. I use to be one of those people, until recently. It can be very frightening to ride amusement parks rides. The anticipation waiting for the ride to start is just awful. The first couple of rides are very stressful, people tend to over think how bad they are, and after the ride people have had an amazing experiences.
I compare myself to Superman. I named my alter ego, Super Suave, after Superman. Superman and I just have different powers. Our biggest difference is superman was born on Krypton, unlike me, I was born an Earthling. I am super like Superman because I choose to use my gifts heroically when using them for evil would make life on earth easy.
But only three minutes passed before we were able to get onto the ride. My friend backed out at the last minute, so it was just my brother, my dad, and I that went on the ride. In no time, the worker had us locked in and ready to go. I was so excited, but very nervous at the same time. This is because It has been about two years since I had gone on any type of ride like this. I waited in suspense as the ride was climbing to the top of the peak, and when we got to the top, the ride stopped for a split second, and the sun was beating on my face, making me sweat buckets. We finally dropped, and I started roaring like a lion attempting to protect its babies from other animals. We were rapidly accelerating and in a second, I was upside down, sideways, and twisting. It only felt like seconds went by as I was yelling for my life. When the ride was finally over, I was not afraid, but instead happy. I actually enjoyed the ride and wanted to go on it again. But we needed to go on other rides too, so we left that ride in search for another
At the end of the hill there was a projection screen in front of us and a figure of what I think was supposed to be an Egyptian god on the side. Then, all in an instant, the figure breathed fire and I could feel the heat radiating onto me, and the screen turned on and showed spiders crawling down it, like they were actually there. While this was all happening, the back of my chair spewed air very quickly onto my neck, making me tense up. (11) And then the scariest part of that section of the ride occurred.(13) The car backed up, and very quickly went backwards down a steep hill. After, the tracks turned the car around and the fast-paced excitement of the roller coaster began. We went up, down, side to side, and almost in every direction possible, all while in a small, completely dark dome shaped area. Finally, we slowly rolled up to the end of the ride and got out. After getting my mind back to normal, and out of its adrenaline rush, I looked at my mom and shouted, without being oddly loud, since I was in public, “That was so much fun!”
I was always scared of roller coasters, something about them made me feel weird inside. I would go to Great America with my friends and wait outside the rides that were scary for me. I never really thought about getting on any rides that dropped at the speed of lightning and loops that make your stomach flip upside down twenty times. I would just sit down and watch the rides as they dropped. That was until one day, my friend told me “Close your eyes I’m taking you to somewhere that’s fun.” I didn’t know what she meant by that but I did what she told me to do. She also covered one of my ears I didn’t know why. “Open your eyes Steven.” I did and at that moment my mouth dropped. I tried running from the line but it was too late. My friend had made me get in line for the scariest coaster in the park. It was named “Flight Deck” .The seats were empty and the small gates opened. She pushed me into the seat and locked me in as fast as she could. I heard the snap which meant the seat was
I don't know why I decided to stay on.But while I was omitting I was so shocked an terrified I was shaking. But when we left the rollercoaster I decided i didn't like it.An then i decided to get on this one called thunder road an I loved it.This happened this summer july 22 2015 this all happened at the
Superman is one super man if I say so myself. He is a real man with superpowers. Now isn’t that awesome.
On a Saturday, at 6:30 in the morning most teenagers would be exercising their privilege to sleep in to an absurd hour. Not me though. On this Saturday I was awake and tingling with excitement. That would be the first day I would be able to ride my bike in its pristine condition. As the sun had only just peeked over the horizon I realized that it would be necessary for me to wait until the day had progressed further. Netflix seemed an easy way to pass the time, so I used this and caught up with my favorite Netflix shows. It felt as if only about an hour had passed, but in reality I had watched nearly four hours of pointless television. The day had shaped up nicely, a warm July morning. Clouds scattered across the sky and a slight breeze to knock the temperature down just a little. A perfect day for a little bike ride. The urge to ride had taken over. I dressed myself, taking into account the deep pockets in my shorts necessary for holding my phone without the possibility of it falling out, brushed my teeth and headed downstairs. To start the journey of a bike ride that taught me that exercise is not a burden, but something to enjoy while trying to better myself.
Once upon a time, there was a very scared Yana who was about to go on what was probably her most feared ride. So I was standing in line for a ride that had a drop of over 235 feet and a speed of up to 85 miles an hour! No wonder it was called “Goliath”. The couple in front of me and my mom were being seated in their car. I watched as they slowly started ascending before the big drop. My feet suddenly stopped moving. It felt as if my legs had completely turned to jello and I couldn’t take control of them. My stomach turned inside out. I look over my mom’s shoulder and saw all of the people waiting in line behind us. It was official, there was no turning back. I could hear the faint screams of everyone going prior to us. “Mom, do I
I wanted to go back in line to go on it again but we had much more rides to go and ride on. we went to the batman it was really fast like I could barely see a thing. all I really saw were blurs. The dark knight was one of my favorite because it was really dark and i don’t know how to explain it but I thought I it was really cool because it was to dark to see where you were going so there were lots of twists and turn , raging bull was so high up and the drop was so scary I could see all the people walking around at the bottom. Then we went on the viper I really liked this one because I was so bumpy I would bounce up and down. And after that was The giant drop I was really scared of this ride because I was scared of heights so I didn’t go on this one and then we went on the X flight it was really fast and went in loops a lot on that ride it was fun. and some others that I don't really remember but after that my cousins had to leave so we stayed just a little bit longer we had to stop going on the big roller coasters and we had to go on younger rides like the little dipper or the fiddler’s fling, whizzer and stuff like that because my brother and sister were still
The time came on one faithful day during the summer when my sister convinces me to go ride my first roller coaster The Batman. It of course was a terrifying and exciting experience, and right when we got to in line my heart began to race, and the only thing that was keeping me in line was my sister reassuring me that it was fun and that I wouldn’t die. So as the line would move even a little bit I would have mini heart attacks and have to calm myself. This would go on for a while until we got to the dark staircase with only a red and white flashing lights to guide us. This made it a little worse because I’m so clumsy and now that I couldn’t see very well a new fear had appeared and now I was worrying about tripping
“MOM!” I yelled louder and louder noticing the blood on my hands. The man on the left side of the car tried to get the door open, but it wouldn’t budge. At the time I was thinking, “Hey idiot! I’m over here!” I
I remember getting in the toy story line because it took forever just to get on the ride. It took so long that my aunt had time to go to the restroom and my aunt takes forever in the restroom and then get my uncle and I some churros. Once we got on the ride I already knew my uncle was gonna smoke me like a camp bonfire. There was a point system that put the amount of points you had in a category with an animal in it. My animal I got was the cat which I think third from the top and my uncle
I loved all the rides, but the food there was magnificent, especially when we went to Epcot and got to eat at buffets from different parts of the world! We had many meals in the different parks! A few of the restaurants we ate at the princesses came around and we got our picture with them, so I now have many photos of me with everyone from Donald Duck to Cinderella!
