Exactly who are veterinary technicians, you ask? They aren't exactly veterinarians, but they are the next best thing. They give medical care to animals, that are sick or hurt, or even just need a check up. They are the nurses of the animal field.

Since this is something I enjoy to do I would like to learn more about animals than I may not learn from the career center. Over the summer I worked at a dog kennel and it was ok something I wasn’t crazy about because I liked the little dogs mostly rather than the big dogs. I’m more comfortable at the career center because i’ve been there so many times and with the dog place I wasn’t there but only once. So pretty much I knew the teachers there in the animal care class. But yes I did love spending time with the animals because dogs are cute and at the career center I love petting the animals because some of them are really friendly. I really get along with the animals there at the career center because I basically know what to do there. All they had at the dog kennel was dog’s and they have so many pets at the career center from dogs to medium to small animals. They also even have reptiles which are pretty cool animals. They had a grooming station at the dog kennel a small one wasn’t very big but at the career center had bigger grooming stations. They also had laundry at the dog kennel which the animal care class has there

One major part of all peoples’ lives is health care, without it society would have no way of staying healthy and happy, and people would also have no way of treatment in case of an emergency. This also applies to all the pets’ lives are shared with. A certain profession is also needed to provide this care service for all of the animals. The people responsible for this service are Veterinarians. There is a lot to learn about the career of a veterinarian, including all of the schooling required, what a vet does, all of the advantages as well as the disadvantages, and the future outlook for this career.

Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.

“ My first instinct when I see an animal is to say “Hello.” My first instinct when I see a person is to avoid eye contact and hope they will just go away.” I have always wanted to help animals since I was five. I felt that animals can’t help themselves and I could help. The career of a veterinary technician is a gross and rewarding, because of all the different experiences that one will receive on an everyday basis. The research will describe the career of veterinary technician, what is required to become a successful veterinary technician, and the impacts this career has on today 's society.

When people look back at their lives, a lot of them would like to think that they made a difference. One of these ways is by caring for an individual who could not take care of themselves. It would bring this person a sense of happiness and great relief knowing that they have done something to change an outcome, or potentially save a life. "Being a vet tech is a rewarding and life changing expierence" (Holmes 46) . Not only is being a vet tech rewarding and life changing, but it can help the world become a better place by saving one animal at a time. For someone who loves animals and spending time with them, being a vet technicians is the most suitable career choice.

I want to be a Veterinarian because it would be a job that I enjoy and it was a well-paying job. Having this job would be entertaining and exciting, because you will never know what is going to happen and what kind of problem, what kind of animal, and how bad the problem was. The

A Veterinarian Assistant is the person responsible for signing in the client and owner. Keeping the peace whilst multiple clients and their owners are in line. Also maintaining a clean workspace. And assist the Veterinarian and Veterinarian Technician in the case that the client is difficult. In addition Assistants contact pet owner for results or reminder of clinic. As a member of the Countryside Mobile Vet team as a Veterinarian Assistant one has the reward in helping domestic animals.

The work environment in Vet Tech is stressful. In a Vet clinic, illnesses and injuries are more common in Vet Tech. One has to be able to handle being kicked, bitten, scratched, etc when holding, cleaning, or restraining an animal. Try to avoid getting injuries while working in a Vet. Watch for body language in an animal and have proper restraint techniques. To avoid illnesses, the Vet Tech should follow safety procedures. Illnesses can be caused by these things since they would be around them most of the time; Needles, bodily fluids, radiation and other potentially hazardous substances. (“How to Become a Vet Tech”).

I chose the career of a Vet Technician. This job is often confused with the veterinarian or veterinary technologist. These two fields are totally different than a vet technician. Veterinarian required eight years of schooling, where the Veterinary technologist requires a bachelor degree in applied science. The job of an veterinary technician is to provide nursing care and assist surgeries for animals. Think of it as a human nurse, and a doctor, the vet tech assist the veterinarian in diagnosing illness and injuries. Some other jobs a veterinary technician might have would be preparing an animal for a surgery like a scrub with germicidal soap, sterilizing the surgical utensils, setting up a room

There are two levels of education for entry into this occupation. A 4-year program for veterinary technologist, and a 2-year program for veterinary technician. Both need to pass a credentialing exam to be licensed, certified, or registered depending on the state. Also it is recommended that in highschool you take biology, math, and science classes. Both veterinary technologists and technician typically work in private clinics and hospitals. Sometimes in laboratories, humane societies and universities. There is a higher rate of illnesses than the national rate, this being because workers could could get bitten, scratched, or kicked. This happens because of dealing with aggressive or scared animals. Many clinics are open 24 hours so with that being said some will have to work holidays or weekends. The clinic that I am interning at they are not open 24 hours, they are open from 8-5 Monday through Friday.

I will make sure that the animals and the clients get the kind of care

In 1981, the North American Veterinary Technician Association was formed to represent all veterinary technicians. The name has since changed to the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), an organization that works closely with AVMA to protect, support, and promote the profession of veterinary technology. It's also responsible for the development and accreditation of veterinary technician specialties. It takes a lot to be a Veterinarian technician from the duties and tasks to the education and training that veterinarian technicians has to have which all comes down to the salary and benefits veterinarian technicians make.

The Amount of money you make depends on how much experience you have in the work area. “Earnings for veterinarians depend on experience, responsibilities, location, and employer” (John). When getting in to the work force of a veterinarian the amount of money you earn depends on what you can and cannot do. If you do not know as much as everyone else that just started out then you do not make as much money. Going to school and learning as much as you can then you can make a bunch of money. If at first school does not help you then keep on going at it and you can learn more then you ever thought you would. There is nothing wrong with needing more help when it comes to school if it helps you later in life to make more money. When first going in you can make $74,820 annually, median wage $96,260 and experienced wage is $123,500. The more you know the better chance of making more money. The amount of money you make depend on the amount of experience.

There are many requirements for a person to become a veterinarian. You need at least two years of pre veterinary college work. Four years of study in a college of veterinary medicine
