This little town has a wide variety of restaurants that have been growing for quite some time now. I do not particularly like fried squid, but their calamari was hand battered and fried to perfection! They portion size was descent, but I could have eaten the whole plate myself. Cheib 2 For the entrée’s the waiter suggested the filet mignon Madeira. The presentation was flawless. I ordered my steak medium rare. The taste was juicy yet rich they marinate the steak in balsamic vinaigrette the beef filet was sautéed with fresh mushrooms, and the Madeira wine sauce. Served with a bed of angel hair pasta loaded with asparagus, artichoke, and broccoli. The steak was a bit overcooked for my liking, but overall I enjoyed it. For dessert they had a few selections. I had my eyes on the strawberry cheesecake, but our waiter suggest the tiramisu. I could not decide so I ordered both. The strawberry cheesecake was a little disappointing. It tasted frozen there was no flavor throughout the cheesecake. As for the tiramisu, it was amazing just as I had hoped. Tiramisu is a popular coffee cake made of sugar mascarpone cheese and cocoa. It was very good, because they have a bunch of seafood places. The one thing I enjoyed the most was a type of pasta I had everyday. It was like Fettuccine Alfredo and it had chicken in it. It had a Cajun taste to it. The other thing I had was a really good, it was a baked mac n cheese souffle. For desserts we had this pastry item and it was called a beignet. It was a piece of fried dough with powdered sugar on top and you would get three of them. They were the most delicious things in the world. They would just melt in your mouth, with the dough so creamy and the powdered sugar on
We customarily celebrate at my aunts and every year she prepares fried calamari, shrimp cocktail as well as stuffed shrimp, clams casino, scungilli salad, fried scallops, fried smelts and baccala. As someone who does not like most seafood, this is not one of my favorite traditions. My uncle always tries to get me to eat everything and I always end up spitting it out. Since fried calamari is one of the only types of seafood I will eat I am perfectly content piling it up high on my plate while the rest of my family indulges in a wide variety of fish. When I was very young I always managed to con my aunt into making me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; it wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized I enjoyed the fried calamari. Sipping on iced-cold sweet tea, I watch multiple waiters gather up and begin line dancing to loud country music that plays in the background. By the time im almost halfway through with my beverage and almost full due to the warm, freshly baked rolls, a smiling waitress brings my family our food. She kindly places down our meal, tells us to enjoy and leaves to let us chow down. Resting on the plate in front of me is a thick, juicy piece of rib eye steak thats paired with loaded mashed potatoes and freshly cooked vegetables. Texas Roadhouse has come to be one of my favorite restaurantst to dine at. They provide excellent food complimented by great service and the unique atmosphere of the restaurant is full of energy and always has some type of entertainment going on.

I ordered three items from the cheesecake factory that made my taste buds so excited! The first thing I ordered was a kale salad. What enticed me to order this dish was the adjective “fresh” and the ingredients in the salad. This salad contained apples, almonds, green beans, and kale that tasted fresh, hearty, and earthy. The raisins were a complement to the dish, as they made it sweet. The aroma of the dish was clean, clear, cool, and refreshing. This portion size was small because it was a side salad. The presentation was pretty and neat; nothing stood out from the rest. I think it was worth the money. The second thing I ordered were the Baja chicken tacos. As soon as I opened the door, I felt as if I had just taken a fourteen hour plane ride and landed in the heart of Italy. As my eyes immediately jetted to a mural of an Italian-styled building, my ears listened to the noise of Italian music in the background. If I did not know any better, I would have thought I was sitting in a tiny café in Italy. Ironically, the minuscule, Italian-inspired restaurant had a name bigger than the restaurant itself: The Pastaria & Market. Located at 49 East Main Street in Downtown Los Gatos, The Pastaria & Market is open daily for dinner. Though the restaurant only has twelve tables, the Italian decor creates an atmosphere which contributes to giving people an authentic Italian dining experience. My ethnic origins are mostly Italian, so I am familiar with eating my Nonna’s homemade Italian food; hence, I was skeptical on how creditable The Pastaria & Market was going to be. After my dining experience, I would highly recommend The Pastaria & Market to anyone looking for attentive service and flavorsome dishes.
Dessert: Tiramisu and Double Chocolate Mousse Cake called from the menu. Since the meal was so filling, we took our dessert home. The next morning the tiramisu was just as I expected with the right amount of liqueur. My taste buds were not disappointed and although it was not intended for breakfast, I was completely satisfied with my choice of desserts.
