Primarily, the Rocky mountains are most visited for the skiing resorts, aside from the many other activities and locations to visit. I will persuade the audience what I believe an ideal weekend trip or vacation would be, and the steps and guidelines in making the vacation possible. The locations being covered would be some of the biggest attractions in the Colorado Rocky Mountains: the ski resorts. Some resorts credited with being the best that the Rockys can bring to a particular individual or group of people are: Keystone resort, Aspen, Loveland, Breckenridge, Ski Cooper. Has anyone here ever, heard the words, Smoky Mountains. If so, then they are either referring to my National Park, or Global Warming. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the only National Park that has Geysers that spit up smoke. It also is the only Park with an excessively long name. Now you may be wondering why the Great Smoky Mountains are great. You can look around, to find a Park that has a nice place to Camp, Fish, have a Picnic, but almost all of them are either uncomfortable, have no maps, really, really close to the edge of a cliff, or, you may just want to find a different place. Montana is a large and lovely state. It has a population of 1,005,141 people. The big sky of Montana covers more than 147,046 square miles. It is considered the fourth largest state in the nation. The size of Montana is equivalent to the combined size of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York. It is located in the North West of the United States. Granite Peak is the highest point in Montana.

West Virginia was the 35th state in the United States on June 20, 1863 and it’s the mountain state. This state usually ranks up to the top ten apple production. The states bird is the Northern Cardinal, Flower Rhododendron, animal black bear, tree sugar maple, colors old gold, blue and song is Carry me back to old Virginia. West Virginia is home to More than 1.85 people. In West Virginia about 82% is livestock and 18% is crops. This state was separated from Virginia State during the civil war. West Virginia is located in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains.

Throughout American history there has been many instances of European settlers invading the land of the native peoples. This holds true for the state of Colorado. It appears as if the Gold Rush acts as a catalyst for this hostile relationship. Although there are many positives Colorado experienced from the gold rush, the native people experienced the downside of this historical event.

There is no vanity on the AT (The Appalachian Trail) and more than some walk in the woods.  Seems like it would be just an adventure.  It started as a journey and a leap of faith to hike the entire Georgia section of the AT in less than 6 days.  Day 4 it became a transformation.  I saw less than 10 people hiking for 6 days and 90 miles.  I hiked till 7pm each day (one hour prior to sunset) and wherever the spirit led me, I set up my tent, ate my food, journaled, slept and got up at 6 am in order to be back on the trail as soon as I could see it.  Relentless steep climbs on all types of terrain and many painful descents that caused much knee pain.  Several nights totally alone in the wilderness.  Lots of praying and talking to God out loud.

The first time was in the summer of 1973, traveling there with my wife and then-infant son. It was overcast that day. But we didn't need sunshine to take in the splendor of what towered over us in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

For anyone wondering, there is plenty of park to be explored. It’s not as crowded as it sounds or as crowded as you think it would be. For there is over 384 miles of thinly laced mountain roads that you can drive on. You can pull to the side of the road any time that you want and start walking and exploring the way you want. You’ll never explore the whole park in one day or even one week for there is eight hundred miles of hiking trails, from a half-mile to 70 miles

The highest mountain of Pikes Peak, a national park in Colorado, is 14,110 feet tall. The Rocky Mountain National Park has mountains, lakes, and quite a bit of wildlife. The Mesa Verde National Park is an interesting place to visit in Colorado because of its American Indian ruins. The National Park called Black Canyon of the Gunnison has black bears, coyotes, and occasional sights of bobcats and cougars. An interesting place to visit in Colorado is well known for how the rocks form there and for hiking and mountain bike riding and so this place is called Garden of the Gods. Maroon Bells is an interesting place to visit because of its snowmass, high mountains, rivers, and lakes. Vail is an interesting and popular place to visit and its known for people coming there to ski. Mount Evans is a popular place known for its amazing mountain views over 14,000 feet.

Rocky Hill, CT is a beautiful area with around 20,000 inhabitants. It is situated just south of Wethersfield and is easy to commute to Hartford. For the most part, those living in Rocky Hill, CT tend to commute to work in the larger cities nearby.

Colorado State Parks are large tourist attractions as well as a significant part of the state. The topic of Parks & Recreation and Tourism is of importance because the state brings in a large amount of funds and provides safety for the environment and wildlife, while providing activities and jobs for those that live here.

When it comes to beautiful rock formations, geological wonder, and natural beauty, Colorado has all that to offer. Colorado is the state where The Rocky Mountain National Park was born. The geological and natural wonders of the park leave many guest visiting the area coming back for more every year. This state is also gifted with one of the biggest attraction in America: The Grand Canyon. Colorado is full of geological and natural majesty.

The world-famous mountain of Squaw Valley has been a home to me, a place to explore some of the great features that the Lake Tahoe region has to offer. Recently, a proposal has been passed to unnecessarily expand and innovate what was once a beautiful piece of land, to a “concrete jungle”. It was clear to me that what's proposed would, wall off the west end of the valley, occluding nearly every angle of the one of a kind mountain views the world has enjoyed for so many years. It's simply inappropriate and far too big. Nothing about it fits.
