“There was a bigfoot print outside my home” stated Jerry Crew, little did he know what an impact he made as the entire country searched for the big hairy creature known as Bigfoot. Bigfoot ( also known as a sasquatch or a yeti) are the big hairy ape-man with 800 pounds on ‘em These creatures have been seen in many cultures, each modified to their beliefs. For example, a Native American myth goes as a similar creature but it's terrorizing villages and in present American story goes as a hairy man-like thing living in the woods. For the last decade, many people have been searching for this monster which reflects our -thesis-
One of the stories goes as so, Patterson–Gimlin film 1967. A man who goes by the name Roger Patterson and his friend were out in bluff creek woods, which in fact, is famous for it massive amounts of bigfoot reporting, creating a Bigfoot documentary. While out in the woods on October 20th near 1:15. Patterson hit gold and surprisingly saw a strange figure crouching beside a tree. Patterson horse started becoming unsettled of the strange animal about 25 feet away from them. Patterson settled his horse and got his camera and ran towards the animal.

The creature gave Patterson a look in which he explained as if in “disgust.” After so Patterson went to the Bluff Creek variety store to ship his film. The friends returned to their camp and continued to look for more evidence of Bigfoot. Long-term, Roger becomes somewhat popular in the Bigfoot community. Scientist reviewed the footage and many found a way to debunk the video. The public couldn't believe the exists of the monstrous creature that has been lurking in the woods for centuries. They didn't believe it, they couldn't. After many years multiple people have come out to say they are the creator of the costume or the man in the costume. So is it a hoax or are people afraid of the
Performing extensive research, I located and listened to any recording I could locate of a Bigfoot speaking. Mary Green’s book “50 Years with Bigfoot: Tennessee Chronicles of Co-Existence” was also used as a reference. Mary had compiled a dictionary of “Bigfoot” words, along with phrases based on a notebook kept by Janice Carter.
Bigfoot is NOT real. There is no evidence that he is part human, there is no DNA evidence, and there is no valid video or picture evidence that proves he is real. He is just a legend that has been passed down for years. It’s impossible for something that is 7-10 feet tall, covered in fur, and lives in the woods can survive for so long.
| * Notes: Sasquatch, also known as Bigfoot, is an ape-like creature said to live in the United States and Canada. Although sightings have been reported in numerous states, most reports come from the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Numerous Bigfoot sightings have also been reported in British Columbia, Canada. In Wisconsin, the Lakota Indians call the creature "Chiye-tanka", a word meaning "Big Elder Brother." Sasquatch is described as a large, hairy bipedal hominoid. Many people think that Bigfoot's relatives can be found in different areas of
In my second counter argument, I used the movie The Ghost of Bigfoot to show that Bigfoot was seen as a horrific creature during that time period. The main issue with this counter argument is that it does not directly refute my belief of Bigfoot being a comic relief in the 21st century. The whole basis of my argument deals with how Bigfoot’s representation changed from horrific to comical over time, so a counter argument expressing that Bigfoot was horrific in the 20th century is irrelevant for this paper. This counter argument is basically just another supporting point because it does not even show how movies and television shows could be a comic relief in the 20th century. One solution that can fix this counter argument is to create a different counter argument. A “new” counter argument could talk about how Bigfoot is a horrific creature in the 21st century rather than a comical relief. For example, the movie Exists, portrays Bigfoot as horrific and killing beast that terrorizes people in the woods (Exists). This new counter argument makes my argument stronger because it is a direct refute of what is being argued in the paper, which that Bigfoot’s representation being comical in current
There have been several similar situations like this in the past. For example we have witnessed how the yeti, bigfoot, and other varieties of so called mythical creatures. The public may be able to just simply write these so called mythical beliefs off but the people that were the eyewitnesses can not do this. People have collaborated with professionals to try and make sense of what they have claimed to see. Nearly every witness has some form of proof for dogman in 2006 a man in Troy, Michigan allegedly contacted onstar, a security system for cars, after running his car off of the road. He supposedly swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the middle of the road. He claimed that this animal was a great big dog that ran in front of him. Another man claims that Dogman scratched his thigh when he was trying to run past him. To this date there have been no reports of any injuries or deaths from the dogman. Although none of them are confirmed, there are many people that go missing in Michigan forests each and every year.
The quest began when Bigfoot was captured on film for the first time by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. In the year of 1967, the two men were out in a remote mountainous location in Northern California. After Patterson heard about the tracks found near Bluff Creek, he was determined to make a documentary about the mysteries of the Sasquatch. Buoyant, he rented a 16mm movie camera and went to the area in question with his comrade, Bob Gimlin. He caught the beast on camera casually strolling through an open clearing, staring at Patterson filming while continuing to walk. The film became known as the Patterson-Gimlin film. According to Animal Planet, "The Patterson-Gimlin film is widely regarded as one of the strongest pieces of evidence for the existence of Sasquatches,” (“The Patterson-Gimlin footage”).
A man walking on State Route 2 on a Sunday evening saw a strange creature jumping from tree to tree and appeared to be flying so the man took photos of the creature. There is no proof that the photos were not altered with. He said “I definitely know the Mothman is real” (Pierson). A dog went missing after he chased after the Mothman.
Big Foot was the chief of a subtribe of the Lakota called Miniconjou. He was very old and had pneumonia. He was taking his tribe to the Pine Ridge Reservation in south-western South Dakota.
The film was actually shot in undisclosed mountain wilderness locations where Bigfoot was alleged to have been sighted. The movie begins with a women “Joi Landis” (Joi Lansing) having to jump out of her single engine airplane and parachutes to safety in the dense woods of America’s northwest. She is suddenly spooked by a big
Although the specifics of Bigfoot may be vague, almost every culture has had its own stories regarding the human-like creatures that roam the world.
The Loch ness monster myth has been around for a very long time. Deep down in the depths of Loch Ness Lake, this monster has been averting capture and clear documentation from humans for over 80 years. Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? This myth is a lot like the legend of Bigfoot. Although some may believe in the existence of Bigfoot, Bigfoot is not real because there is a lack of evidence, other theories, and it overall just isn’t logical. Therefore, Bigfoot is fake.
For over a 150 years man has been troubled by one great mystery, a mystery that has baffled all who have witnessed it and all who have tried to solve it. This mystery is commonly known as Bigfoot, a tall hairy man/ape who lurks in the woods in almost every country on this planet. Some say it is just an ape, some believe it is a man in costume, and others are true believers of this hairy phenomenon. For more than a decade and a half this creature of myth has caused enormous contradictions in the field of science, bringing about one question. Does Bigfoot exist?

A majority of the questions a Bigfoot quester might be asked is, what evidence shows us that this mythical creature actually exists today? According to the BFRO(Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization), the most recurring evidence that they have is the plentiful amount of witnesses. Witnesses are the people that say they have had an encounter with the mythical Bigfoot. The Patterson-Gimlin film, is said to be the strongest evidence of Bigfoot. Scientists have been evaluating the film for over 40 years, and they have not yet came up with an answer, on whether it's a hoax or if the film is actually showing us an actual Bigfoot. Many people have confessed to being the man in the suit, but scientists say it is
If I one day became Bigfoot and I had to go into hiding I would have to choose to hide somewhere in Alaska. The reason I choose to hide in Alaska is because I have always wanted to visit Alaska. Besides that the real main reasons are that on I have some much fur and if it is always cold outside I will be perfectly fine in the cold temp. Next I would live just anywhere out of the way of any civilization, nobody would try to find me because it would be way too cold in some part of Alaska that no one would want to try and find me. Also going with me wanting to visit Alaska I would be living in a beautiful area in some part of Alaska according to some of my once friend because I am Bigfoot and some may not like me and some still would because they
