• Information technology leadership through instruction, consultation, guidance and assistance in support of the Mayor, City Council, Board of Estimates and City agencies.
• IT Infrastructure and Operations which includes Network and Server Ops, Data Center Management, Information Security, Electronic Mail, and Public Wi-Fi.
• Strategic Services which includes application development, IT Project Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Data Management, as well as the management of the Baltimorecity.gov website and Open Data portal.
• Operation of the City's 3-1-1 One-Call-to-City-Hall and Dispatch Center which operates 365 days a year.
• Operation of the City’s CCTV crime prevention system, CitiWatch, in cooperation with the Baltimore Police Department and the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice.

To begin, the police began using new catching approaches by changing aspects such as an increase in enforcement of nuisance activities. Additionally, they began to invest in their technology and started to identify crime hot spots. The hot spots are where crime is found most often but never recognized.

Real Time Crime Center provides the SLMPD with advanced technology and tools to reduce crime and provide a sense of security to the community (Metropolitan Police Department). The SLMPD Real Time Crime Center has access to over 500 cameras from different areas of the city. The cameras a federated through businesses as well as established by neighborhood organizations. The SLMPD has received positive feedback from the neighborhood members who feel the camera placement provides a sense of public security and help deter crime in those areas. This portfolio focus on what I have learned during the whole IT Strategy and Control paper, a critical reflection of this paper would be provided. This reflection includes the key points, support reference and the demonstration of my own understanding about the paper itself and all of my personal understandings are based on the learning outcome of this paper. In the first part of this portfolio, I would discuss all the key IT Operations Management framework which have been introduced in the paper, the analysis of the processes based on my own understanding would be given. In the second part, analyze processes required for aligning IT infrastructure and operations with the business goals of an organization would be talked about, and I would focus a business organization which has been mentioned in the caselets as a sample. In the third part, some critical evaluate operational IT organizations and their processes against the studied models would be listed and analyzed. In the last part, the recommendations and analysis of my own would be given against those organizations (caselets) which have some problems and current issues arising from the implementation of the IT framework.
